Created by Bennett Foddy, </span><em>QWOP</em><span> is a notoriously difficult game tasking players with controlling an Olympic sprinter and trying to get him more than a few inches from the starting line without falling flat on his face.<br /><br />Noodlecake is responsible for the physics-based iOS and Android golf series <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/super-stickman-golf|super-stickman-golf-2"><em>Super Stickman Golf</em></a>, just one game among <a href="http://www.noodlecake.com/games/">many other contributions</a>. According to <a href="https://twitter.com/NoodleCakeGames/status/306810381383376897">a tweet from Noodlecake</a>, the Android port of <em>QWOP </em>will be available in "the coming months."</span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/27/qwop-brings-awkward-shuffling-to-android/">QWOP to bring awkward shuffling to Android</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 Feb 2013 21:30:00 EST. You can share the experience of not being able to walk at all with a friend or bitter rival, in a new two-player version of Bennett Foddy's footrace to the bottom, <em>QWOP</em>. Following last Sunday's showing at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/08/play-girp-on-dance-pads-two-player-qwop-in-austin-this-weekend/">Juegos Rancheros</a>, Foddy has released the competitive browser game online.<br /><br />The game suggests a second keyboard "for best results," but both players can actually share a single keyboard. This is a much more awkward situation, and thus seems more appropriate.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/16/competitive-bumbling-now-available-in-two-player-qwop/">Competitive bumbling now available in two-player QWOP</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 Feb 2012 10:10:00 EST. This Sunday the Austin game collective, <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/juegos-rancheros">Juegos Rancheros</a>, will host the Foddy Winter Olympics, featuring new and bizarre versions of Bennett Foddy's finger-twisting games.<br /><br />You'll be able to face off against a friend in a race to the ground in two-player QWOP. You'll experience the climbing game <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/girp"><em>GIRP</em></a> turned into a Twister-like experience in Mega GIRP, a new version by <em>Johann Sebastian Joust</em> creator Doug Wilson that uses four dance pads for the controls. You'll also be frustrated by other Foddy creations, including <a href="http://www.foddy.net/PoleRiders.html"><em>Poleriders</em></a> and <a href="http://www.foddy.net/WinnervsLoser.html"><em>Winner vs. Loser</em></a>.<br /><br />This is going to be the angriest party.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/08/play-girp-on-dance-pads-two-player-qwop-in-austin-this-weekend/">Play GIRP on dance pads, two-player QWOP in Austin this weekend</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 Feb 2012 04:30:00 EST. If you've just finished <em>Dark Souls</em> and are looking for an entirely new method of torturing yourself through video games, this new project from <a href="http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html"><em>QWOP</em></a> developer Bennet Foddy should suit your needs quite well. It's called <a href="http://www.foddy.net/PoleRiders.html">Poleriders</a>, and it's a competitive, two-player pole vaulting game. Only, instead of trying to use a pole to clear a raised bar, you're trying to either kick a ball through your opponent's goal, or kick your opponent's head, which is also tantalizingly ball-shaped.<br />
<br />
Truth be told, we didn't find it nearly as difficult as <em>QWOP</em> -- though, we suppose difficulty will change based on the relative pole vaulting skill of your adversary. Vaulting against your roommate? No problem. Vaulting against four-time US Nation Outdoor Champion vaulter Jeff Hartwig? Well then, buster, you're in for a <em>world of hurt</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/09/poleriders-the-new-browser-game-from-qwop-creator/">Poleriders: The new browser game from QWOP creator</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 Nov 2011 01:00:00 EST. This was hands-down the funniest game released in 2009, and 2009 was a year in which we got a new Tim Schafer game and the return of the Monkey Island series, so that's saying something. If you missed out, please go buy it, it's cheap as can be and a true delight.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/03/best-of-the-rest-justins-picks-of-2009/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Best of the Rest: Justin's Picks of 2009</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/03/best-of-the-rest-justins-picks-of-2009/">Best of the Rest: Justin's Picks of 2009</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 03 Jan 2010 11:30:00 EST.
