	With limited time, 3DS systems and eyes capable of processing 3D, we couldn't deliver full reviews for the full <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/3ds">3DS</a> launch lineup. However, we've got the next best thing, a ton of impressions on some of our favorite releases we couldn't get enough quality time with for a full critique.<br />
	<br />
	Between the cheat sheet after the break and our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/3ds,@reviews">bevy of full reviews</a>, you should have all that you need to be a 3DSpecialist at your local electronics retailer. Happy hunting! ... And, umm, sorry about saying "3DSpecialist." It was a long weekend.</div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/28/3ds-launch-games-the-best-of-the-rest/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>3DS launch games: The best of the rest</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/28/3ds-launch-games-the-best-of-the-rest/">3DS launch games: The best of the rest</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 28 Mar 2011 16:00:00 EST. The North American launch details for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/3ds">Nintendo 3DS</a> have been finalized. In addition to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/face-raiders"><em>Face Raiders</em></a> and <em>AR Games</em>, both pre-installed on the hardware, the system will launch with three first-party games: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/pilotwings-resort"><em>Pilotwings Resort</em></a>, <em>Steel Diver</em>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/nintendogs-plus-cats"><em>nintendogs + cats</em></a>. Each first-party game has a suggested retail price of $39.99.<br />
<br />
Thirteen third-party games will be available on March 27th, including <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/super-street-fighter-iv-3d-edition"><em>Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition</em></a> and<em> Rayman 3D</em>. Nintendo promises that thirty games will be available for the platform by E3 expo. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time"><em>The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/star-fox-64-3d"><em>Star Fox 64 3D</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/kid-icarus-uprising"><em>Kid Icarus: Uprising</em></a> and a new <em>Mario Kart</em> game will all be available before year's end.<br />
<br />
You'll find the complete launch lineup listed after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/22/nintendo-3ds-to-launch-with-18-games-in-north-america-40-each/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Nintendo 3DS to launch with 18 games in North America, $40 each for most</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/22/nintendo-3ds-to-launch-with-18-games-in-north-america-40-each/">Nintendo 3DS to launch with 18 games in North America, $40 each for most</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 22 Feb 2011 09:00:00 EST. Today, during an earnings release, the company narrowed down the release dates for many of those titles, at least in Europe.<br />
<br />
According to the document, <em>Asphalt 3D</em>, <em>Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D</em>, <em>Rabbids 3D</em>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/rayman-3d-is-an-adaptation-of-rayman-2/"><em>Rayman 3D</em></a>, <em>Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D</em>, and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/25/ghost-recon-shadow-wars-for-3ds-detailed-by-creative-lead/">Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars</a></em> will all be released in EMEA territories in the quarter ending March 31. Since the 3DS will be out in Europe on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/3ds-to-launch-in-europe-on-march-25/">March 25</a>, we can safely call all six of these "launch games." As for North America, the document says only "US 3DS line-up to be confirmed later." However, if all of these games are done in time for the European launch, we can probably expect to see all of them in North America around late March too.<br />
<br />
This list leaves off two announced Ubisoft 3DS titles: <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/screenshots/james-noir-3ds-1-19-11/#/0">James Noir's Hollywood Crimes</a> </em>and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/screenshots/james-noir-3ds-1-19-11/#/0">Driver Renegade</a></em>. Couldn't get all <em>eight </em>games ready at once? We're disappointed, Ubisoft. Only <em>six</em> is an embarrassment.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/14/ubisoft-releasing-six-3ds-games-for-european-launch/">Ubisoft releasing six 3DS games for European launch</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Feb 2011 15:30:00 EST. Here's a thing that is weird: Nintendo has <a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-02-08-nintendo-3ds-uk-game-launch-line-up">announced the software lineup</a> set to drop day-and-date with the UK launch of the 3DS -- and it blows the handheld's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/08/3ds-japanese-launch-lineup-announced-along-with-blazblue-for-la/">Japanese launch titles</a> right out of the water. There are 15 games due out on March 25, including four first-party offerings: <em>Pilotwings Resort</em> (which isn't listed on the Japanese launch roster) and three different <em>Nintendogs and Cats</em> games.<br />
<br />
Ubisoft's also making a strong showing on the launch lineup, providing <em>Splinter Cell 3D</em>, <em>Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars</em> and <em>Rayman 3D</em> on day one. Check out the full list after the jump, and keep your fingers crossed for an equally attractive North American launch list. Heck, you could even wish for a more attractive list, if you're feeling particularly optimistic.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/08/3ds-uk-launch-lineup-revealed-pilotwings-makes-the-cut/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>3DS UK launch lineup revealed, Pilotwings makes the cut</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/08/3ds-uk-launch-lineup-revealed-pilotwings-makes-the-cut/">3DS UK launch lineup revealed, Pilotwings makes the cut</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 08 Feb 2011 15:40:00 EST. Tucked away in Ubisoft's 3DS lineup press release is this golden nugget: <em>Rayman 3D</em> is actually an "adaptation" of the classic <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rayman_2:_The_Great_Escape">Rayman 2</a></em> (the Dreamcast version, specifically). Those of you who have experienced the joy of <em>Rayman 2</em> can probably stop reading now. The rest of you will be glad to hear that the 3DS version will feature "major updates" to certain gameplay elements, including "accessibility, progression and learning curve."<br />
<br />
Frankly, we're just glad to have a new excuse to collect Lums again.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/rayman-3d-is-an-adaptation-of-rayman-2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Rayman 3D is an 'adaptation' of Rayman 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/rayman-3d-is-an-adaptation-of-rayman-2/">Rayman 3D is an 'adaptation' of Rayman 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 19 Jan 2011 16:30:00 EST. Did you hear? It's got a built-in pedometer! The 3DS measures your steps <em>as you walk</em> -- right there in your pocket! Even better: You can pull the thing out <em>whenever</em> and snap all kinds of pics -- the thing's got <em>three</em> cameras! And get this: It also pipes out music, browses the internet and even <em>plays games</em>.<br />
<br />
True, you've already got a pile of old DS games (and now defunct DS devices) that you <em>could</em> be playing on your new pedometer, but more than 30 <em>three-DEE</em> titles are expected to be released during the 3DS "launch window" (which begins <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/nintendo-3ds-price-release-date/">March 27</a> and promptly closes on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/17/e3-2011-scheduled-june-7-9-2010-welcomed-45-600-attendees/">June 7</a> with the start of E3).<br />
<br />
We've listed 24 of the apparent launch-window releases after the break (though Nintendo's being coy about exact dates), including Nintendo's own <em>Nintendogs + cats</em> and <em>Pilotwings Resort</em>, plus a hearty helping of third-party support; with notable newcomers, <em>Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked</em> (previously unannounced outside of Japan) and <em>Crush 3D,</em> a possible port of the 2007 PSP platforming puzzler from Sega.<br />
<br />
Don't look at the date ambiguity in dismay -- see it as an opportunity! Beginning in late March, you can walk to and from GameStop in anticipation of a new batch of games each Tuesday for <em>ten whole weeks,</em> and the 3DS will count your steps -- each and every one of them! And just imagine how many Street Passes you're going to rack up?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/3ds-launch-window-to-include-more-than-30-games-leading-up-to/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>3DS 'launch window' to include more than 30 games leading up to E3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/3ds-launch-window-to-include-more-than-30-games-leading-up-to/">3DS 'launch window' to include more than 30 games leading up to E3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 19 Jan 2011 11:15:00 EST. The ESRB's rating offers a bit of new information about the mysterious title -- specifically, the platform. If you want Rayman's disembodied, floating arms to get all up in your face, you'll have to get a <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/3ds">3DS</a> to do so.<br />
<br />
There are still plenty of mysteries around <em>Rayman 3D</em>, like when it's coming out and whether it's an original game or a port -- and, if the latter, on which <em>Rayman</em> game it's based. There's no question, however, that Ubisoft has a lot of faith in the new handheld. This is the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/15/heres-the-list-of-every-3ds-game-in-development/">seventh</a> planned 3DS game from the publisher.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/31/esrb-yes-rayman-3d-is-a-3ds-game/">ESRB: Yes, 'Rayman 3D' is a 3DS game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 31 Dec 2010 19:00:00 EST. We can think of two likely possibilities for this game: first, that it's a collection of ported <em>Rayman</em> games, in 3D, for PS3, like the recent <em>Prince of Persia</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/prince-of-persia">rereleases</a> and the upcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/20/splinter-cell-trilogy-sneaking-onto-ps3-in-hd-of-course/"><em>Splinter Cell</em> collection</a>, both from Rayman publisher Ubisoft. Or it's a <em>Rayman</em> game for 3DS.<br />
<br />
Both seem equally plausible: Ubisoft is continuing a recent trend, or preparing a mascot platformer for a new Nintendo handheld. Ubisoft declined to comment on this unannounced product, but at the very least we know there's some kind of <em>Rayman</em> product on the way -- besides <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/rayman-origins">Rayman Origins</a></em>, which is decidedly 2D.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/22/rayman-3d-rated-in-australia/">'Rayman 3D' rated in Australia</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 22 Dec 2010 13:00:00 EST.
