 <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/killzone-mercenary"><em>Killzone: Mercenary</em></a>, the upcoming PS Vita installment in Sony's shooter series from Guerrilla Cambridge, has had its release bumped up a week. Previously pegged for a September 17 launch in North America, <em>Killzone: Mercenary</em> is now due on September 10.<br />
<br />
In addition to moving up the date, Sony has revealed some pre-order incentives for <em>Killzone: Mercenary </em>over on the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/05/17/grab-killzone-mercenary-a-week-early-pre-order-bonuses-detailed/">PlayStation Blog</a>. The first perk is a 48-hour double XP boost, which spans all in-game contracts, bonuses and payouts. Joining that is additional in-game cash at the outset and a pre-order exclusive machine gun, the M224-A1.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/17/killzone-mercenary-deployment-moved-up-to-september-10-pre-ord/">Killzone: Mercenary deployment moved up to September 10, pre-order goods revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 May 2013 17:45:00 EST. The former Sony Liverpool devs at Sawfly Studios are bringing <em>Men's Room Mayhem</em> to Vita next week, via PSN. It should arrive on May 21 in North America, although as always with news revealed by the <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/official-playstation-blogcast/id483223024">PlayStation Blogcast</a>, dates can be subject to change.<br />
<br />
If you're curious about the curiously named game, Phil Gaskell from publisher Ripstone describes it as "<em>Flight Control </em>meets <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carry_On_at_Your_Convenience"><em>Carry on at Your Convenience</em></a>." - No, it's not the flight paths of... that stuff, but about getting patrons to where they need to go.<br />
<br />
"In <em>Men's Room Mayhem</em> you're hired as the janitor of your very own chaotic men's room," said Gaskell on the <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/05/02/mens-room-mayhem-enforces-laws-of-the-lav-on-ps-vita-soon/">PlayStation Blog</a>. "You're responsible for directing patrons, keeping everywhere sparkling clean and steering patrons away from trouble! You need to get your customers safely to the urinals and cubicles in time - otherwise there'll be a few nasty accidents for you to clean up!"<br />
<br />
The Blogcast also outed a wee (ahem) bit of other content in next week's PS Store update. A "smattering of DLC" is coming to <em>Aliens: Colonial Marines, </em>although the podcast wasn't any more specific than that<em>. A</em> digital PS3 version of <em>Mugen Souls</em> is also due.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/17/mens-room-mayhem-hits-psn-next-week-aliens-colonial-marines-d/">Men's Room Mayhem hits PSN next week, Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 May 2013 12:45:00 EST. The <em>Super Luigi U</em> DLC for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/new-super-mario-bros-u"><em>New Super Mario Bros. U</em></a> is being released as a digital download for the game on June 20 in both North America and Europe. However, it's also coming to retail as a packaged standalone. It'll be available August 25 in North America, and July 26 in Europe. The DLC will be priced at $19.99, while the standalone is $29.99. You won't need <em>NSMB U</em> to play the packaged game.<br />
<br />
This morning's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/17/nintendo-direct-summer-may-17/">Nintendo Direct</a> also revealed that Nabbit, a little critter who you chased in the first game, is a playable character in the new content. He'll be available in multiplayer games as an easier alternative to Luigi and the Toads. He won't take damage when he touches enemies, but to balance that he won't be able to use power-ups. <br />
<br />
<em>Super Luigi U</em> makes changes to<em> NSMB U</em>'s campaign to make every course "all-new" - it's essentially a new Luigi campaign.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/17/super-luigi/">Super Luigi U arrives as DLC June 20, packaged standalone August 25</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 May 2013 10:21:00 EST. <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/the-swapper">The Swapper</a> </em>- the Indie Fund-ed, clay model-animated, puzzle platformer put together by a few Finnish university students - has been set to hit Steam on May 30. The game has a lone space explorer wandering an alien cave, with a "weapon" that allows him to create clones of himself to solve puzzles and move around.<br />
<br />
Facepalm has released a brand new trailer showing that gameplay and the title's excellent graphics, which were created by animating photos of actual clay. The initial release will be for PC, with Mac and Linux coming later, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/20/the-swapper-takes-a-spin-on-steam-this-spring/">and "maybe something else"</a> after that.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/16/the-swapper-switches-it-up-on-may-30/">The Swapper switches it up on May 30</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 May 2013 19:30:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/starbreeze-studios/">Starbreeze</a>-owned developer Overkill Software will launch <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/payday-2">Payday 2</a></em> this August on consoles and PC. Publisher 505 Games announced this morning the game will no longer be limited to digital distribution networks, with retail versions planned for Xbox 360 and PS3.<br />
<br />
"We're expecting great things from <em>Payday 2</em> and are really looking forward to working with our retail partners all over the world to make it the huge success it deserves to be," said 505 Games Head of Global Brand Tim Woodley.<br />

Nvidia's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/project-shield">Project Shield</a> - now officially dubbed Nvidia Shield - will launch before the end of June for $349.99, Nvidia has announced. Pre-orders for the Tegra 4-powered Android handheld will open on May 20, through select online and brick-and-mortar retailers: New Egg, GameStop, Micro Center and Canada Computers. Those on <a href="http://shield.nvidia.com/">Nvidia's Project Shield notification list</a> can pre-order starting today.<br />
<br />
With the price and pre-order date, Nvidia announced five new games coming to the platform: <em>Broken Age</em> and <em>Costume Quest</em> from Double Fine, <em>Flyhunter: Origins</em> from Steel Wool Games, <em>Skiing Fred</em> from Dedalord Games and <em>Chuck's Challenge</em> from Chuck Sommerville's Niffler, who you may recall of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chip's_Challenge"><em>Chip's Challenge</em></a> fame.<br />
<br />
The Nvidia Shield is running Android 4.2.1, sports a 5-inch retinal display capable of 720p and has 16GB of internal storage, expandable through a SD card slot on the back. Other hardware features include a built-in mic and GPS, plus a mini-HDMI out in the back. The Shield is also capable of streaming games from your PC, granted you have a GTX 650 GPU or better in there.<br />
<br />

<em>Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery</em> sets off for Vita and iOS this week. Lucid's cutesy-looking Unreal Engine 3 puzzler pitches up in North America via PSN on Tuesday, May 14 - it should be Wednesday in Europe. Then iOS welcomes it on Thursday. No prices are announced as yet.<br />
<br />
The game features Jacob, a kid who prefers traipsing the outdoors to milling around with his peers. Thankfully, his trip to Camp Eagle Feather includes bumping into Bigfoot, an event that always brightened our summer camp excursions.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, we're still waiting on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/06/ex-bizarre-devs-lucid-tease-possible-reveal-at-next-gen-xbox-eve/">Lucid's mid-May announcement</a>, which looks to be a racing game, and one possibly tied to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/24/xbox-reveal-may-21/">Microsoft's own mid-May announcement</a>. The studio, comprised of ex-Bizarre devs, gave a brief <a href="https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=557626957593259&amp;id=191831577506134">shout-out</a> today to fans of Blur and Project Gotham Racing who'd sent the studio messages recently. Which group will be the more pleased later this month, if either, remains to be seen.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/14/lucids-jacob-jones-and-the-bigfoot-mystery-unravels-on-vita-io/">Lucid's Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery unravels on Vita, iOS this week</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 14 May 2013 04:00:00 EST. <em>Ace Attorney 5</em> is scheduled to appear in North America and Europe this autumn, now under the new legal name of <em>Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies</em>. Capcom says it's releasing the 3DS game in the west digitally (on the eShop).<br />

PopCap puzzler <em>Gyromancer </em>and <em>Hitman: Sniper Challenge</em> are the latest targets for Square Enix's browser-based <a href="http://beta.coreonline.com">Core Online</a> service. <em>Sniper Challenge,</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/hitman-sniper-challenge">if you remember</a>, was a pre-order bonus for <em>Hitman: Absolution</em>.<br />
<br />
What both games coming to Core Online does alert us to are changes to the service's payment structure. It was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/14/lara-croft-and-the-guardian-of-light-now-stationed-on-core-online/">originally</a> completely free-to-play, albeit with intermittent ads. However, free play is limited now to 20 minutes each day (still with ads). At 20 minutes a day, it's going to take about a month to complete <em>Tomb Raider: Underworld</em>.<br />
<br />
You can pay $2.99 per month to get full access to Core Online's library, which at present includes <em>Hitman: Blood Money</em>, <em>Hitman: Sniper Challenge</em>, <em>Gyromancer</em>, <em>Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light</em>, <em>Tomb Raider: Underworld</em>, and <em>Mini Ninjas</em>. Alternatively, each game can be bought individually for $4.99.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/10/hitman-sniper-challenge-gyromancer-line-up-on-core-online/">Hitman: Sniper Challenge, Gyromancer line up on Core Online</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 10 May 2013 13:45:00 EST. Those cautiously curious to see how <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/resident-evil-revelations"><em>Resident Evil: Revelations</em></a> translates to bigger screens can try out a demo on May 14 from the Xbox Live Marketplace, Wii U eShop, Steam, and PlayStation Network. On the Wii U, that translation includes touchscreen integration, off-TV play, and some Miiverse extras too.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/10/resident-evil-revelations-demo-dated-for-may-14/">Resident Evil: Revelations demo dated for May 14</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 10 May 2013 09:45:00 EST. Most Wanted Entertainment's explosion-filled, arcade-style helicopter action game <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/thunder-wolves"><em>Thunder Wolves</em></a> will light up the skies over Steam next Wednesday, May 15, publisher bitComposer Games announced today. Folks who pre-order will receive 20 percent off the game's regular price of $10, though the game's Steam page does not appear to be live as of press time.<br />
<br />
BitComposer reiterated in its announcement that <em>Thunder Wolves</em> is also coming to XBLA and PSN, though no release date or price points for those versions have been released.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/08/thunder-wolves-descend-on-steam-may-15/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Thunder Wolves descend on Steam May 15</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/08/thunder-wolves-descend-on-steam-may-15/">Thunder Wolves descend on Steam May 15</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 May 2013 23:59:00 EST. Coffee Stain Studios' <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sanctum-2"><em>Sanctum 2</em></a> will launch for the Xbox 360 on May 15, <a href="http://majornelson.com/2013/05/07/coming-soon-to-the-xbox-live-marketplace-22/">Major Nelson</a> has announced. We've followed up with publisher Reverb to see if this is the launch date for PSN and PC, as well.<br />
<br />
 <em>Sanctum 2</em> is the sequel to Coffee Stain Studio's hybrid first-person shooter and tower defense game. Coffee Stain Studios was founded in 2010 by local Swedish students, and its first game was <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/i-love-strawberries/id406369536?mt=8"><em>I Love Strawberries</em></a> on iOS.<br />
<br />

<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/kingdom-hearts-15-hd-remix"><em>Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix</em></a> is lined up for North America on September 10, and Europe on September 13. The upgrade to the autumn release window came courtesy of a Square Enix post on the PlayStation Blog, which also outlined the pre-order bonus for both regions, namely a limited edition artbook.<br />
<br />
The PS3 compilation includes HD versions of PS2 games <em>Kingdom Hearts</em> <em>Final Mix </em>and <em>Re:Chain of Memories; Final Mix</em> is the formerly Japan-only re-release of the original <em>Kindgom Hearts</em>, while <em>Re:Chain of Memories</em> is the PS2 remake of GBA entry <em>Chain of Memories</em>. <em>HD 1.5 Remix</em> also features the cutscenes from DS game <em>358/2 Days </em>(in HD too!).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/07/kingdom-hearts-hd-1-5-remix-release-dates/">Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix plays NA on Sep. 10, EU Sep. 13</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 May 2013 09:00:00 EST. As free, corporate-sponsored games go, we enjoyed the 2D platforming approximation of <em>Wipeout </em>(the TV show) that was <em>Doritos Crash Course</em>. Also, it was, like most free, corporate-sponsored games, entirely <em>free.</em> This is rarely ever a bad thing. With all that in mind, it's cool to see a sequel coming to XBLA tomorrow, May 8. Yes, it's still free.<br />
<br />
As per the first game, you're traversing your Xbox Avatar from left to right and as quick as poss, but this time in four new worlds including an icy one and a pirate-y one. There's online and offline multiplayer for up to four runners, and you can compare your speed against friends via "asynchronous" clips.<br />
<br />
Remember, the game's free - no-one's forcing you to buy any chips to play it. At the very least that means free Achievements, which of course is the most important thing. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/doritos-crash-course-2/">Doritos Crash Course 2</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/doritos-crash-course-2/#5862870"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/screenlg1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/doritos-crash-course-2/#5862871"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/screenlg2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/doritos-crash-course-2/#5862873"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/screenlg3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/doritos-crash-course-2/#5862874"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/screenlg4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/doritos-crash-course-2/#5862875"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/screenlg5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/07/doritos-crash-course-2-crunches-into-xbla-tomorrow-for-free/">Doritos Crash Course 2 crunches into XBLA tomorrow for free</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 May 2013 07:45:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-starship-damrey"><em>The Starship Damrey</em></a> will launch on the North American eShop on May 16. The game is the first in Level-5's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/guild02/">Guild02</a> series to cross over to the US in its own 3DS download.<br />
<br />
 <em>The Starship Damrey</em> is an action-adventure game that has players waking up without knowing who or where they are. That's in the game, at least. That would be <em>horrifying</em> in real life. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-starship-damrey/">The Starship Damrey</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-starship-damrey/#5819284"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/tsdscreen01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-starship-damrey/#5819286"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/tsdscreen02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-starship-damrey/#5819287"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/tsdscreen03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-starship-damrey/#5885293"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/tsdscreen01-1368722189_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-starship-damrey/#5885294"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/05/tsdscreen02-1368722190_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/04/first-guild02-game-coming-to-3ds-eshop-on-may-16/">First Guild02 game coming to 3DS eShop on May 16</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 04 May 2013 18:00:00 EST. Stainless Games's enhanced re-release of <em>Carmageddon</em> swerves onto Android on May 10. That's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/03/carmageddon-should-hit-ios-next-week-android-late-2012-early/">a little later than originally planned</a>, but when a classic game's going for free, we're not bothered. As <a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stainlessgames/carmageddon-reincarnation/posts/238238">promised</a> in the Kickstarter campaign for <em>Carmageddon: Reincarnation</em>, Stainless isn't charging a cent during the racer's first 24 hours on Google Play.<br />
<br />
The enhanced version of the 1997 mayhem maker sports slightly enhanced graphics, and touch pads that can be placed where you want on-screen. <p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/03/carmageddon-rams-android-may-10-free-for-first-day/">Carmageddon rams Android May 10, free for first day</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 May 2013 12:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/pinball-fx-2"><em>Pinball FX 2</em></a> rides the Steam ramp on May 10. The XBLA and Windows 8 game arrives next week as a free download, with six packs available at launch for $9.99 each.<br />
<br />
The sextet includes Star Wars Pinball, Marvel Pinball, Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue, Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles, Pinball FX2 Core Collection, and Zen Classics.<br />
<br />
The Steam version brings Windows 7 support to the pinball platform. As Zen Studios VP Mel Kirk tells us, the Steam version is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and even good old Windows XP.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/03/pinball-fx-2-flips-onto-steam-may-10-with-windows-7-support/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Pinball FX 2 flips onto Steam May 10 with Windows 7 support</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/03/pinball-fx-2-flips-onto-steam-may-10-with-windows-7-support/">Pinball FX 2 flips onto Steam May 10 with Windows 7 support</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 May 2013 11:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/sound-shapes"><em>Sound Shapes</em></a>, Queasy Games's synesthetic platformer, gets another batch of DLC on May 14 in North America, May 15 in Europe. While Queasy's announcement was coy, <a href="http://www.psnstores.com/2013/05/sound-shapes-dlc-coming-may-14th/">PSNStores</a> says it's confirmed the DLC comprises two sound packs: one 1980s-themed, one dubstep.<br />
<br />
As PSNStores notes, the two DLCs packs <a href="http://blog.asia.playstation.com/community/hk/en/playstation_network/playstation_store/blog/2013/03/12/whats-on-psn-this-week--12th-march">accidentally appeared</a> in a PS Store update for Asia back in March, and <a href="http://exophase.com/game/sound-shapes-ps-vita/trophies/">their trophies</a> are listed too. The 80s are <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/far-cry-3-blood-dragon">back in style</a> and dubstep isn't going away anytime soon, so the timing looks metronomic for some new beats.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/03/sound-shapes-lays-down-more-dlc-on-may-14-in-na-may-15-eu/">Sound Shapes lays down more DLC on May 14 in NA, May 15 EU</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 May 2013 10:00:00 EST. PlayStation Plus breaches the Eastern crime zone of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/sleeping-dogs"><em>Sleeping Dogs</em></a> in North America on May 7. As revealed on this week's PlayStation Blogcast, PS Plus subscribers get express tickets for some murder on the Orient in next week's store update.<br />
<br />
Also joining the Instant Game Collection in May are <em>Pinball Arcade</em> on the PS3, which comes with the Tales of the Arabian Nights, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Black Hole, and Theater of Magic tables, as well as subterranean side-scroller <em>Knytt Underground</em> and enhanced fighter <em>BlazBlue: Contiuum Shift Extend.</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/03/sleeping-dogs-yips-onto-playstation-plus-may-7/">Sleeping Dogs yips onto PlayStation Plus May 7</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 May 2013 08:40:00 EST. <em>Q.U.B.E. </em>is blocking out May 6 on its qalendar for new time-trial DLC titled 'Against the Qlock.' The DLC brings ten more levels to the Portal-like puzzler, with players trying to beat the timer as well as leaderboard scores. There's also a batch of new achievements.<br />
<br />

Nintendo of America has revealed a May 30 launch date for Genius Sonority's <em>The Denpa Men 2: Beyond the Waves</em> on the 3DS eShop. No price is listed on <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/WPkdid7ToQ-V3AI2WVID3UL-QuxLiMdB">the Nintendo page</a> yet, though we can't imagine cost will stray too far from the original <em>Denpa Men</em>'s $10 asking price.<br />
<br />
<em>The Denpa Men 2</em> is the sequel to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/02/portabliss-the-denpa-men-3ds-eshop/">the charming RPG</a> in which players find and recruit hidden characters in the real world using the 3DS's camera. Denpa Men exist to raid dungeons and, this time, battle other players online.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/01/the-denpa-men-2-hits-3ds-eshop-on-may-30/">The Denpa Men 2 hits 3DS eShop on May 30</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 May 2013 20:45:00 EST. 11bit Studios' tower-offense sequel <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/anomaly-2">Anomaly 2</a></em> will launch on May 15. The sequel adds new units and the ability for them to morph into a secondary class type, as well as incorporating <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/30/anomaly-2-preview-tug-o-war/">live multiplayer</a> for the first time in the series.<br />
<br />
 <em>Anomaly 2</em> is the sequel to <em>Anomaly: Warzone Earth</em> and its expansion, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/anomaly-korea"><em>Anomaly: Korea</em></a>. Unlike its predecessors, <em>Anomaly 2</em> will forgo mobile platforms at launch, favoring Steam for PC, Mac and Linux. All pre-orders are currently 10 percent off the standard $15 asking price.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/01/anomaly-2-marches-to-pc-mac-and-linux-may-15/">Anomaly 2 marches to PC, Mac and Linux May 15</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 May 2013 17:30:00 EST. <em>Frozen Synapse </em>takes tactical defense to the iPad on Thursday, May 16, complete with cross-platform play between PC, Mac and iPad. Players will be able to access all of their games on any platform, at any time, though current owners will have to buy the iPad version separately to get it on that slim screen.<br />

We first learned of <em>Frozen Synapse</em>'s journey to iPad in early April, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/03/frozen-synapse-makes-a-move-for-ipad-in-may-android-after/">developer Mode 7 said</a> an Android version will launch sometime after the iOS installment, each with "competitive" pricing.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/01/frozen-synapse-brings-cross-platform-play-to-ipad-on-may-16/">Frozen Synapse brings cross-platform play to iPad on May 16</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 May 2013 17:00:00 EST. <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/metal-gear-rising-revengeance"><em>Metal Gear Rising's</em></a> Blade Wolf character will take center stage on May 14 in North America, and will probably take a few nerve centers while he's at it, given the usual flow of that game's action. The Blade Wolf DLC will be released on PSN in North America and Xbox Live in North America and Europe that day, with a European PS3 release following the next day.<br />

Don't expect a buddy comedy between Blade Wolf (formal name: LQ-84i) and Raiden; the story takes place before the two cyborgs face off, with Blade Wolf still working under Mistral. You probably didn't even think about what his life was like before he started yelling "COMBINATION ATTACK" at Raiden, but now you'll know.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-blade-wolf-dlc/">Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Blade Wolf DLC)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-blade-wolf-dlc/#5849631"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/mgr-bladewolf-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-blade-wolf-dlc/#5849632"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/mgr-bladewolf-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-blade-wolf-dlc/#5849633"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/mgr-bladewolf-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-blade-wolf-dlc/#5849634"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/mgr-bladewolf-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-blade-wolf-dlc/#5849635"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/mgr-bladewolf-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/30/fetch-metal-gear-risings-blade-wolf-dlc-starting-may-14/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Fetch Metal Gear Rising's Blade Wolf DLC starting May 14</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/30/fetch-metal-gear-risings-blade-wolf-dlc-starting-may-14/">Fetch Metal Gear Rising's Blade Wolf DLC starting May 14</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Apr 2013 14:00:00 EST. It's due in Japan on May 9, Konami announced today, which suggests it won't make the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/13/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-gets-jetstream-blade-wolf-dlc-in/">April date</a> originally given for the North American release.<br /><br />The preceding Jetstream Sam DLC was met with complaints that it wasn't actually that different from the base game. We're holding out hope that this new pack will be a more varied experience - after all, Blade Wolf is much less similar to Raiden than Sam was, what with the four legs and all.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/26/metal-gear-risings-blade-wolf-dlc-out-in-japan-may-9/">Metal Gear Rising's Blade Wolf DLC out in Japan May 9</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 26 Apr 2013 11:00:00 EST. The Atlus dungeon crawler, originally released for the Sega Saturn in 1997, will in turn reach Europe for the first time in around a few months time.<br /><br />NIS America also confirmed to us a concrete European release date for Imageepoch PS3 RPG <em>Time and Eternity</em>: June 28. The Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U game hits its "early September" release window following <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/07/rayman-legends-delayed-to-september-also-coming-to-xbox-360-and/">its delay</a> earlier this year.<br /><br />The news is joined by today's arrival of the game's precursory Online Challenges app on the Wii U eShop. The free demo includes Land of the Livid Dead, Neverending Pit, and Infinite Tower levels, as well as the GamePad-tailored Murfy's Dungeon run.<br /><br />The app also features daily and weekly "Extreme Challenges," unlocked by winning cups and subsequently increasing your "Awesomeness Level." Ubisoft didn't say what happens if your Awesomeness Level is already Super Duper Awesome.<br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: We were earlier provided with a release date of August 27 for North America by an Ubisoft spokesperson. We were then contacted with a corrected date of September 3.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/25/rayman-legends-reaches-north-america-august-27-europe-august-30/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Rayman Legends swings into North America Sep. 3, EU Aug. 30 [update]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/25/rayman-legends-reaches-north-america-august-27-europe-august-30/">Rayman Legends swings into North America Sep. 3, EU Aug. 30 [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 25 Apr 2013 09:00:00 EST. The upscaled remastering of the three DS games was originally due last fall, but delays took it into early 2013, then April.<br /><br />In a hardly encouraging but certainly candid post on the Ask Capcom forums, Senior VP Christian Svensson said, "For reasons unknown to me, the release has slid another several months to July. Sorry guys."<br /><br />When the free-to-download app eventually arrives, it'll feature <em>Ace Attorney</em>, <em>Justice for All</em>, and <em>Trials and Tribulations</em> as purchasable games within it, both separately and bundled together. Today, Minter has revealed <em>TxK</em> will launch this year on PS Vita.<br /><br />"The new game - <em>TxK</em> - will draw on the spirit of the classic <em>T2K</em>, extending and enhancing it using the fantastic graphical power of the PS Vita system, resulting in what we hope will be a new modern classic arcade shooter," Minter wrote on the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/04/24/cult-studio-llamasoft-blazes-onto-ps-vita-with-txk/">PlayStation Blog</a>. He promises new terrains, bonus rounds, enemies, weapons and a completely redone soundtrack.<br /><br /><em>Tempest 2000</em> launched in 1994 for the Atari Jaguar, itself a remake of the original arcade classic <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tempest"><em>Tempest</em></a>. <em>Tempest </em>is a fixed-perspective shooter - a player controls a ship skirting the edge of a geometric tube, shooting enemy ships and other obstructions approaching from the center of the screen.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/24/txk-jeff-minters-remake-of-tempest-2000-on-ps-vita-this-year/">TxK, Jeff Minter's remake of Tempest 2000, on PS Vita this year</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 24 Apr 2013 21:15:00 EST. The score-driven <em>Strike Suit Infinity</em> jettisons most of the objectives of the original <em>Strike Suit Zero</em>, save for the obvious one: shoot things in space.<br /><br /><em>Strike Suit Infinity</em> recognizes success by placing you higher in competitive leaderboards, and hopes to augment the destruction of enemy spaceships with extrinsic rewards like points, chains, multipliers and credits to purchase reinforcements.<br /><br />This $7 deal nets you an infinite number of interstellar vehicles, and the eternally relevant reminder that they, as with all things in outer space, are coming to kill you. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/strike-suit-infinity/">Strike Suit Infinity</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/strike-suit-infinity/#5834536"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/ssz-infinity-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/strike-suit-infinity/#5834537"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/ssz-infinity-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/strike-suit-infinity/#5834538"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/ssz-infinity-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/strike-suit-infinity/#5834539"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/ssz-infinity-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/strike-suit-infinity/#5834540"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/04/sszinfinity02logo_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/23/score-based-spinoff-strike-suit-infinity-coming-on-apr-30/">Score-based spinoff 'Strike Suit Infinity' coming on Apr. 30</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Apr 2013 17:00:00 EST. Steam (PC and Mac) takes its place at the table on Friday, April 26, and it's followed by PSN on April 30 - at least in North America. A May 1 arrival for Europe's PSN is estimated but not yet finalized.<br /><br />The new roster for the card game sequel features Sam from <em>Sam and Max</em>, Ash Williams from <em>Army of Darkness</em>, and sadistic AI GLaDOS from <em>Portal</em> as the dealer - which at least means you won't have to try to read her, which we really wouldn't recommend.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/23/poker-night-at-the-inventory-2-dated-xbla-steam-this-week-psn/">Poker Night at the Inventory 2 dated: XBLA, Steam this week, PSN next week</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Apr 2013 10:30:00 EST.
