Australia has one of the most lenient video-game-rating systems in the world.<br />
<br />
No, really -- despite its reputation as an ultra-conservative, mature-rating hating government, "the reality is that many more games that are restricted to 17-year-olds in the U.S. or 18-year-olds in Europe are available without edit for 15-year-olds in Australia," said Chris Wright, former marketing head for THQ's two Australian studios, Blue Tongue and Studio Australia. "On balance, Australia is probably the most lenient country in the world for access to mature games."<br />
<br />
No, <em>really -- </em>Wright was the man who presented <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/saints-row"><em>Saints Row</em></a> to the Australian classification board and he prepared plenty of ratings submissions in the country, both as head of THQ Asia Pacific and its two Australian studios. He knows the system, meaning he knows what it has and what it doesn't, such as an R18+ rating.<br />
<br />
"I believe passionately that Australia needs an R18+ rating," Wright said. "But for me the R18+ rating is not about access to games, but parity with other entertainment forms and the acknowledgement of gaming as an adult pursuit. The R18+ rating will have a net effect of greater overall restrictions on access to games -- many games that would have previously been available to 15-year-olds will now only be available for 18-year-olds and above -- but will mean that a few games at the top end of the maturity scale are allowed to be released."<br />
<br />
Legislation in Australia recently approved the R18+ rating (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/28/australian-classification-branch-r18-not-ready-for-another-co/">though it may take a few years to be enacted</a>) and its Law Reform Commission is attempting to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/01/australian-government-begins-the-process-of-games-reform-with-a/">revamp</a> the country's video-game rating system to acknowledge its adult audience. But recently, Australia has had more than ratings to worry about.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/13/australian-indie-from-ratings-systems-to-a-boom-of-small-studio/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Australian indie: From ratings systems to a boom of small studios, how AU will survive</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/13/australian-indie-from-ratings-systems-to-a-boom-of-small-studio/">Australian indie: From ratings systems to a boom of small studios, how AU will survive</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 13 Nov 2011 18:00:00 EST. There's no doubt that the <em>Saints Row </em>franchise is a big deal for THQ -- especially now, since the publisher <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/27/red-faction-franchise-wont-continue-in-any-meaningful-way/">just killed one of its biggest</a> -- and it looks like work on a fourth entry is already underway. THQ's Executive VP of Bean Spilling, Danny Bilson, dropped the news during a video interview with <a href="http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/718145/saints-row-4-confirmed-to-be-wilder-than-saints-row-3/">G4</a>, saying that he thinks the next <em>Saints Row </em>game will be much wilder than the third. Dildo bats that shoot dildo bats full of tiny dildo confetti, anyone?<br />

Over the weekend, a rating for something under the <em>super</em> classy title "Saints Row: Money Shot" appeared on the Australian Ratings Board database. All we know officially is that it's developed by THQ Digital Phoenix and earned an MA15 rating.<br />
<br />
Unofficially, however, we have some screenshots posted by <a href="http://www.msxbox-world.com/news/article/15912/saints-row-money-shot-screenshots.html">MSXboxWorld</a>, which look to us like grabs from a video. The screens reveal what looks like a <em>Saints Row</em>-themed light gun game or rail shooter. <a href="http://www.msxbox-world.com/xbox360/xboxlive/arcade/achievements/60715/saints-row-money-shot/achievements.html">Achievements</a> also posted on the site, worth 200 points, suggest that this is an XBLA game (or <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/saints-row-the-third"><em>Saints Row: The Third</em></a> DLC). There's even a description of the premise: "You are Cypher, a deadly assassin in the world of Saints Row, and you hunt the most elusive targets with the most sophisticated weaponry that Ultor has to offer." You can apparently control the movement of each bullet to weave its way to the intended target.<br />
<br />
Officially, the planned <em>Saints Row</em> XBLA/PSN/3DS game, <em>Saints Row: Drive By</em>, was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/04/thq-we-are-not-developing-saints-row-drive-by/">cancelled</a>. But, to engage in a bit of conjecture for a moment, the concept and appearance of this game seem tailor-made for 3D. Could the project have been resurrected? Or is this all just media for a cancelled game, with the Australian rating a vestige of its former development?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/22/saints-row-money-shot-rated-alleged-screens-posted/">'Saints Row: Money Shot' rated, alleged screens posted</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 22 Aug 2011 19:00:00 EST. THQ left very little room for interpretation today in regards to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/03/saints-row-drive-by-for-xbla-and-psn-cancelled-according-to-res/"><em>Saints Row: Drive By</em></a>, the XBLA and PSN spinoff of its puerile open-world series. "We are not developing <em>Saints Row: Drive By</em>," a THQ rep told Joystiq, confirming reports of its cancellation.<br />
<br />
That likely means there won't be a 3DS <em>Saints Row</em> game either, since core games CEO Danny Bilson <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/29/thq-saints-row-for-3ds-was-already-being-made-for-xbox-live-ar/">said</a> that the planned 3DS project was the same as the XBLA game. Given the kind of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/ding-dong-saints-row-the-third-screens-are-obscene-filthy-fun/">weaponry</a> we've seen in the latest<em> Saints Row </em>game -- weaponry we're not too keen to see in 3D -- we're at peace with the cancellation.<br />
<br />
THQ told Joystiq it had "no further comment at this time" regarding the 3DS title specifically.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/04/thq-we-are-not-developing-saints-row-drive-by/">THQ: 'We are not developing Saints Row: Drive By'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 May 2011 13:10:00 EST. Game Informer's story on <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/saints-row-the-third"><em>Saints Row: The Third</em></a> started with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/ding-dong-saints-row-the-third-screens-are-obscene-filthy-fun/">just a few screenshots</a>, but apparently the magazine had some extra video footage around, so it decided to turn it into <a href="http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2011/03/30/the-secret-history-of-volition.aspx">a nearly one hour long documentary</a> on the entire Volition studio, from its PC beginnings with <em>Descent: Freespace</em>, up into the big console series <em>Red Faction</em> and <em>Saints Row</em>.<br />
<br />
There's a lot of fascinating behind-the-scenes stuff here for old-school Volition fans, including a lot of thinking on why Volition has made the games it has, how the company has built up its growing legacy piece by piece, and even why some developers on the staff didn't want anything to do with <em>Saints Row</em> in the first place. The last 18 years of Volition's work makes for some excellent weekend watching.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/03/hourlong-documentary-goes-behind-the-scenes-at-volition/">Hour-long documentary goes behind the scenes at Volition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 03 Apr 2011 13:30:00 EST. Not much is known about THQ's downloadable <em>Saints Row</em> title, save for the fact that it's in development for Xbox Live and is also likely to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/29/thq-saints-row-for-3ds-was-already-being-made-for-xbox-live-ar/">land on Nintendo's 3DS</a> in some form. In a new interview with <a href="http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/66318">Shacknews</a>, THQ's head of core games, Danny Bilson, alluded to some changes made to the title's direction and its dependence on a larger game.<br />
<br />
"That one is changed. It's changed," said Bilson. "It's going to be a different--we actually changed the design and are doing something more unique. This is just creative but we wound up feeling the game we were building was too much like a section of Saint's Row that you could <em>play in Saint's Row</em>." Bilson added that this <em>Saints Row</em> would feature an "original game mechanic" that would aid it in supporting the larger franchise. <br />
<br />
THQ's approach, then, seems to diverge from the one that spawned <em>Dead Rising 2: Case Zero</em>, a downloadable prequel to Capcom's zombie masher, <em>Dead Rising 2</em>. Capcom called its $5 teaser, composed of gameplay similar to that found in the retail follow-up, its "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/24/capcom-calls-dead-rising-case-zero-most-dynamic-sales-weapon/">most dynamic sales weapon</a>" ever, having sold over 500,000 units by the middle of September.<br />
<br />
Bilson, however, believes "you don't want to play something that you can play within the main experience." You might be inclined to agree, but only because there's another dynamic sales weapon pointing at your head.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/03/saints-row-xbla-aiming-to-be-more-unique-says-thqs-bilson/">Saints Row XBLA aiming to be 'more unique,' says THQ's Bilson</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Nov 2010 20:40:00 EST. <br />
The <em>Saints Row Double Pack</em> features both <em>Saints Row</em> and <em>Saints Row 2, </em>,on separate <em>Saints Row</em> discs, in one convenient <em>Saints Row</em> collection, at the budget price of $30. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/15/heres-the-list-of-every-3ds-game-in-development/2">The Nintendo 3DS game list</a> has a lot of predictable titles on it, but seeing <em>Saint's Row</em> on there was somewhat of a surprise. But it was a natural fit, as <a href="http://www.industrygamers.com/news/nintendo-really-wanted-saints-row-on-3ds-reveals-thq/">THQ VP Danny Bilson recently said</a>. Not only was Nintendo enthusiastic about putting mature content on its new system, but "the interesting thing about the game is we were already making it. We were already making it as our Xbox Live game and in 3D also. It's designed for 3D already."<br />
<br />
Wait, an Xbox Live title? The <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-3"><em>Saint's Row 3</em></a> universe is full of surprises -- THQ is planning a whole fleet of games to launch together, and among those is a downloadable XBL game that will unlock content in the full game (and vice versa). The 3DS will share content as well -- "all of our extension properties," says Bilson, "all connect and unlock things in each other."<br />
<br />
Looks like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/27/saints-row-3-already-in-development-new-direction-planned/">the game's "new direction"</a> is actually split a few different ways. All of these games are still due out sometime <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-saints-row-sequels-from-thq-in-fiscal-2012/">after March of next year</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/29/thq-saints-row-for-3ds-was-already-being-made-for-xbox-live-ar/">THQ: Saint's Row for 3DS was already being made for Xbox Live Arcade</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 29 Jun 2010 20:05:00 EST. While we were furiously running from appointment to appointment <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/e3">somewhere inside the LA Convention Center</a> last week, THQ was busy holding an investor call -- and subsequently detailing a densely packed game release future. While we already heard from the publisher back in February that <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-saints-row-sequels-from-thq-in-fiscal-2012/">Darksiders</a></em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-saints-row-sequels-from-thq-in-fiscal-2012/"> and </a><em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-saints-row-sequels-from-thq-in-fiscal-2012/">Saint's Row</a></em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-saints-row-sequels-from-thq-in-fiscal-2012/"> sequels</a> would be arriving sometime in fiscal 2012 (between March 2011 and April 2012), it seems that Valhalla Games' debut effort <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/devils-third">Devil's Third</a></em> will join the fold (as evidenced by the above image).<br />
<br />
Also of note, "UFC Trainer" was detailed in the financial call as a Kinect/Move/Wii exercise/training title set for release in Jan 2011 (as reported by <a href="http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6265835/ufc-trainer-hits-kinect-move-wii-on-january-1">GameSpot</a>). It's aiming to contend with the likes of <em>EA Sports Active</em> and <em>Wii Fit</em>, albeit with a tougher slant. "We want this thing tuned to perfection without lag. And I'm not going to ship it until it's the coolest fighting thing in the world," THQ exec Danny Bilson said of <em>UFC Trainer</em>, explaining its absence from E3. He also reconfirmed that a sequel to <em>Darksiders</em> has been "greenlit" and is currently in production, though said nothing of the <em>Devil's Third</em> release window specifically (presumably for fear of being sliced to bits by Valhalla's ninjas).<br type="_moz" /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/22/thq-puts-devils-third-in-2012-announces-ufc-trainer/">THQ puts Devil's Third in 2012, announces UFC Trainer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 22 Jun 2010 12:30:00 EST. Not only is it a great way to support one of the delicious staples of the American diet, but it also means you don't have to play <em>Saints Row 2</em>, go the Mall area and pick one up from the "Let's Pretend" store just to satiate your hot dog dress wear needs. Microsoft has unfurled some of its <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2010/04/06/ws186.aspx">plans</a> for Xbox Live downloadable content for April, including new additions to Games on Demand and Deals of the Week, as well as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/18/finally-final-fight-double-impact-arrives-april-14-and-15/">April 14th</a> release of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/final-fight-double-impact">Final Fight: Double Impact</a>.</em><br />
<br />
On top of that, look for a half-priced <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-maw"><em>The Maw</em></a> on the week of April 12 and two add-ons for <em>Mega Man 10</em> this week: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/01/wiiware-mega-man-10-gets-dlc-bass-character-on-april-5/">Bass</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/23/mega-man-10-special-stages-bring-back-obscure-bosses/">Special Stage 1</a>. In an interview with <a href="http://wii.ign.com/articles/106/1069731p1.html">IGN</a>, THQ CEO (that's a lot of three-letter abbreviations right next to each other) Brian Farrell provided more details about the company's upcoming lineup. For one, we can expect to see the new <em>Saints Row</em> and <em>Red Faction </em>games as soon as E3, as well as other assorted games from THQ's lineup.<br />
<br />
"I think we're going to blow people away at E3," Farrell said. "You'll be seeing <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-3"><em>Saints Row 3</em></a>. You'll be seeing the next <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/red-faction"><em>Red Faction</em></a>. You'll be seeing more of <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/homefront"><em>Homefront</em></a>. We've been talking about it, but we'll actually show some of our <em>Warhammer 40k </em>MMO, and I think people are going to go, 'Oh my God. They've got their stuff together.'" And <em>Saints Row 3</em> will evidently cause some to remark, "This is not your father's THQ."<br />
<br />
Farrell also suggested that THQ has learned its lesson from the last few years of the Wii market, and won't be trying anything like <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/deadly-creatures"><em>Deadly Creatures</em></a> again -- a "fun experience" that "didn't find much of an audience." A few "brand extensions" will be shown on Wii this E3, Farrell said. And speaking of extended brands and the Wii, the executive said that the upcoming SyFy-fueled <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/15/thq-and-syfy-bringing-de-blob-back-for-games-and-more/">relaunch</a> of <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/de-blob"><em>De Blob</em></a> won't just be a Wii game -- it'll be released across multiple platforms, still developed by Blue Tongue. "Actually, I prefer it on a normal controller," Farrell said.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/17/thq-ceo-saints-row-and-red-faction-at-e3-de-blob-going-multipl/">THQ CEO: Saints Row and Red Faction at E3, De Blob going multiplatform</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 17 Feb 2010 09:30:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left;">
	THQ's Brian Farrell has revealed on today's investor conference call that the company is planning to revisit some of its most successful franchises as far away as the fiscal year of 2012 (which would be sometime after March 2011), including <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-rides-into-1-2-million-homes-thq-financially-recover/">this year's bestseller</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/darksiders"><em>Darksiders</em></a>, and the popular <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row"><em>Saint's Row</em></a> franchise. Farrell says the company is looking to fiscal 2012 for "accelerated growth with three major core game titles scheduled: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/warhammer-40k-space-marine"><em>Warhammer 40k Space Marine</em></a>, a sequel to <em>Darksiders</em> and the third generation of our popular <em>Saint's Row</em> franchise."</div>
<br />
Given that these are more than a year away, we don't have any more information besides the fact that they're planned for release (Who will <em>Darksiders</em> ape next? Will <em>Saint's Row</em> finally <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l_YN-yRCVY">solve all of those bugs</a>?). But news of sequels for both games will be welcomed by their respective fans.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-saints-row-sequels-from-thq-in-fiscal-2012/">Darksiders, Saint's Row sequels from THQ in fiscal 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Feb 2010 18:00:00 EST. THQ today <a href="http://investor.thq.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=96376&amp;p=irol-newsArticle&amp;ID=1382753&amp;highlight=">announced to investors</a> its financial holdings for the year ending December 31, 2009, reporting a net income of $1.4 million and sales of $701.5 million in the final nine months of the year. To put that in some perspective, the net income for the same period last year was a $334.2 <em>loss.</em> No doubt well-reviewed titles like <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ufc-undisputed-2009">UFC Undisputed 2009</a></em> and (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/01/best-of-the-rest-bens-picks-of-2009/">personal favorite</a>) <em>Red Faction: Guerrilla</em> helped that financial 180&deg; turn -- a much needed one after a rocky 2008 and a mess of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/thq,layoffs">layoffs in 2009</a>.<br />
<br />
The publisher also announced "first four week" sales of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/darksiders">Darksiders</a></em> have already reached 1.2 million in the US (Ahem, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/02/analyst-darksiders-likely-didnt-sell-enough-for-thq/">Mr. Greenwald</a>? Did you hear that?). Interestingly, THQ called the game part of its "growing portfolio of owned brands," among <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/red-faction">Red Faction</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/de-blob">de Blob</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/drawn-to-life">Drawn to Life</a></em>, and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row">Saint's Row</a></em>. And with this afternoon's investor call, it would certainly appear <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/thq-prepping-homefront-new-red-faction-for-fiscal-2011/">we'll be seeing more</a> from that portfolio in the coming year.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/darksiders-rides-into-1-2-million-homes-thq-financially-recover/">Darksiders rides into 1.2 million homes, THQ recovering financially</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Feb 2010 17:55:00 EST. As <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/19/ms-announces-incoming-games-on-demand-deals-of-the-week/">promised</a>, both <em>Saints Row 2</em> and <em>LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures</em> are <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/11/24/xbox-360-games-on-demand-saints-row-2-and-lego-indiana-jones.aspx">now available</a> on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/games-on-demand,@xbox">Xbox Live Games on Demand</a>. The games are available in almost all regions, though <em>Saints Row 2</em> is not available in Japan, while <em>LEGO Indy</em> skips both Japan and Mexico. <em>Saints Row 2</em> is $29.99 in the US and <em>Lego Indy</em> is $19.99. Though <em>that other</em> open-world crime drama just got a huge booster shot in the form of the release of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-ballad-of-gay-tony"><em>Ballad of Gay Tony</em></a>, Volition's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saints Row 2</em></a> is getting a helping hand from its ol' pal Microsoft. <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/11/09/deal-of-the-week-saints-row-2-ultor-exposed.aspx">Major Nelson recently announced</a> that the game's DLC pack, "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/31/volition-prepping-new-saints-row-2-dlc-for-april-16/">Ultor Exposed,</a>" is the Xbox Live Marketplace Deal of the Week. The pack, which offers three new missions, a new co-op mode and a playable character modeled after real-life porn star Tera Patrick, has had its price cut to 560<img alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /> ($7). That's a 30 percent discount from the add-on's usual 800<img alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /> ($10) price point.<br />
<br />
With that, we'd like to welcome the naughty folks who ended up here after searching Google for "porn star Tera Patrick." Welcome! Sorry, there's no images of your <em>erotic quarry</em> to be found here, but take a look around, anyways! You might just like what you see.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/09/xblm-deal-of-the-week-saints-row-2-dlc/">XBLM Deal of the Week: Saints Row 2 DLC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Nov 2009 15:15:00 EST. The website of Swedish metal band <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opeth">Opeth</a>, <em>of course!</em> At least, it is when it comes to news about an as-yet unannounced PSP <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/saints-row"><em>Saints Row</em></a> game. According to a news item on the band's site, a PSP version of the sandbox game (if you're not familiar with it, think <em>GTA </em>with ... actually, just think <em>GTA</em>) is on the way.<br /><br />"We may not like playing video games all that much," the news item reads, "but we do like it when our music is featured on them! Makes us a bit proud even when it's a game as big as <em>Saints Row</em> for the PSP and even prouder when the nice developer people show excellent taste by picking 'The Lotus Eater' for it."<br /><br />These leaks aren't usually this <em>specific</em>, but Opeth actually announced a release date for this purported game: March 2010. Over the past few months, we've come to rely on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saints Row 2</em></a><em>'s</em> bizarre, Gary Busey-centric advertising campaign as a source of humor and, more importantly, spiritual renewal.<br />
<br />
As a final farewell, Busey is promoting the free "UnKut" DLC from the game in a new video. Gary has used his laser-like vision to peer into your soul ... and his reaction to what he found there? Well, we don't think you're going to like it, let's just leave it at that. <br />
<br />
Oh well, the DLC is free, just how much persuasion do you need?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/23/a-final-saints-row-2-moment-with-gary-busey/">A final Saints Row 2 moment with Gary Busey</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Jun 2009 23:00:00 EST. Those of you looking to bling out your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saint's Row 2</em></a> characters with a bevvy of fancy new accoutrement need wait no longer, as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/volition">Volition</a> just released "The Unkut Pack" of free DLC this week. Virtual ganstas are now able to choose from "62 unique customization options" with "The Unkut Pack," though those of you without Gold acounts on Xbox Live won't be able to participate without ponying up for an upgraded membership, as the DLC is Gold member exclusive. <br />
<br />
Peep the example gallery below for a few shots of the new duds, tats and "bigass chains," and check out <a href="http://community.saintsrow.com/blogs/?p=576#more-100">the game's website</a> for a full list of everything, if you're into that kind of thing. And revel in it, 'cause according to Volition, this is the "third and final DLC Pack for <em>Saints Row 2</em>." <em>Saint's Row 3</em>, anyone? <br />

Even if you answered "no" to that question, developer Volition says it may one day be possible. During the <a target="_self" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/red-faction-guerrilla/"><em>Red Faction: Guerrilla</em></a> launch event in New York City last night (held at the red planet-themed tourist trap/night club known as Mars 2112), we asked senior associate producer Jeff Carroll if the THQ-owned studio ever considered making Wii versions of their popular franchises. <br />
<br />
"Though [THQ] may do Wii versions of [our games] in the future, Volition won't be doing them -- at least for the next year or so," Carroll said. <br />

"We actually talked about whether we were going to become a partial Wii developer," he explained. "Then we talked it over with THQ and they had enough studios that were going to be Wii-specific. But we really wanted to focus on the technological advances [in console development], especially for <em>Red Faction Guerrilla</em>." <br />
<br />
When asked if these Wii titles were in the works, he replied that he didn't know but that they were "within the realm of possibility." <br />

The real question is: Will <a target="_self" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gary-busey/">Gary Busey be involved</a>? In the world of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saint's Row 2</em></a>, the Ultor Corporation isn't looking for a massive government bailout -- it has an internal "civil war" to deal with. "Corporate Warfare," the second DLC offering for THQ and Volition's open-world crime game, hits Thursday, May 28, bringing a new mission and multiplayer maps, more vehicles, expanded customization options and additional Achievements (for Xbox 360). Also: corporate warfare. Who'd have thunk?<br />
<br />
The pack will set purchasers back 560<img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> ($7) for 360 and $7 in non- space-money for PS3. Check out the gallery below for a glimpse of what awaits down on the 'Row. <br />

At Joystiq Headquarters, we're all about bumpin' the latest Fiddy track and tossing around the ol' crystal skull (that's a basketball to you). So it should come as no surprise that we're psyched for the news that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/24/50-cent-to-start-reading-joystiq/">avid Joystiq reader 50 Cent</a> is hoping for a sequel to his <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/24/joystiq-review-50-cent-blood-on-the-sand/">well-reviewed</a> third-person shooter, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/50-cent-blood-on-the-sand/"><em>50 Cent: Blood on the Sand</em></a>.<br />
<br />
According to an interview with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1610494/20090501/50_cent.jhtml">MTV News</a>, our favorite Vitamin Water investor responds rather positively when asked about the possibility of a sequel, saying, "I'm hoping we'll be able to do it ... with the success of this actual project, we'll try to do it again." Furthermore, though he's stated it before, he's more interested in doing future games that don't revolve around his persona, telling the interviewer, "I'd like to be a part of designing and marketing a video game I'm not actually in." And what of that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/24/50-cent-wants-to-make-a-saints-row-movie-or-die-tryin/"><em>Saint's Row</em> movie</a> you were optioning, Mr. Cent? "I was trying to option the rights, [but] the more we talk about it, the more expensive it will get," he says. Those "bigass chains" can get expensive, can't they?<br />
<br />
Hit the break for the full, "actual" video (only for those in the US unfortunately, per MTV.com restrictions -- sorry!).<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/04/50-cent-wants-to-make-blood-on-the-sand-sequel-original-ip/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>50 Cent wants to 'make' Blood on the Sand sequel, original IP</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/04/50-cent-wants-to-make-blood-on-the-sand-sequel-original-ip/">50 Cent wants to 'make' Blood on the Sand sequel, original IP</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 04 May 2009 22:00:00 EST. New content is set to pull up alongside <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saints Row 2</em></a>, flashing gang signs and a new set of platinum rims. Developer Volition revealed that it is working on three new downloadable packs for the game, with the first, <em>Ultor Exposed</em>, set to arrive April 16 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for 800 Microsoft Points or $10.<br />
<br />
Players expecting something comparable to last month's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-lost-and-damned"><em>Lost and the Damned</em></a>, however, will need to seek the comfort of fellow gangstas after learning that this initial pack adds just three new missions, a competitive co-op "metagame" and porn star Tera Patrick as a homie to watch your back. Some new vehicles, weapons and maps are also promised. Still, compared to last month's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gta-iv"><em>GTA IV</em></a> update, this downloadable comes off as lacking, but at just a tenner at least you won't have to sell your real gold grills to play.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/31/volition-prepping-new-saints-row-2-dlc-for-april-16/">Volition prepping new Saints Row 2 DLC for April 16</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 31 Mar 2009 09:30:00 EST. THQ's wild swings have finally brought the axe down on <em>Red Faction</em> and <em>Saints Row</em> creator <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/volition">Volition</a>, reportedly culling the bulk of the Champaign, IL studio's QA staff out from the developer's ranks. Speaking with <a href="http://kotaku.com/5163878/layoffs-hit-thqs-volition">Kotaku</a>, a THQ spokesperson confirmed that Volition lost 86 employees in the cut, including 47 temporary workers and 39 full-time staff. <br />
<br />
The numbers represent the lion's share of the QA department's 102 employees, with quality assurance duties now "primarily" falling to "THQ's centralized QA facilities, with a small staff remaining on-site in Champaign," according to a THQ statement. The layoffs are part of THQ's larger move to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/04/thq-eliminating-600-jobs/">eliminate nearly a quarter</a> of its jobs in an effort to cut costs and keep <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/02/analyst-thq-has-50-chance-of-bankruptcy/">analyst bankruptcy predictions</a> from coming true.<br />
<br />
<strong>Update:</strong> THQ's Julie MacMedan chimed in this afternoon to clear the air as well as any confusion regarding these layoffs, which according to the corporate communications VP only affected the publisher's QA facility in Champaign, IL and left Volition's "core development teams" untouched. <br />
<br />
"This will result in the eventual closure of the facility with a transfer of sixteen employees to Volition," wrote MacMedan in an email statement. "It will not result in any layoffs within the core development teams at Volition. Volition remains a key development studio within THQ and will continue to employ 236 staff."<br />
<br />
Confirming earlier information, she added: "The layoffs include 47 temporary employees who will not be having their service extended. Unfortunately, fluctuating headcount among the temporary staff is common based on when our games ship. In addition, 39 full-time staff will be laid off."<br />
<br />
In conclusion, and in a refreshing change of pace to these sorts of reductions, MacMedan wrote: "All laid off employees (both full-time and temporary) will be given at least sixty days' notice. We will do what we can to assist them in finding work in the community or elsewhere in THQ."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/04/volition-qa-staff-lost-in-thq-restructuring/">Volition QA staff lost in THQ restructuring [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 08:00:00 EST. <em>Saints Row 2</em> developer Volition has confirmed on the game's <a href="http://community.saintsrow.com/viewtopic.php?p=390847">forums</a> that the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/14/metareview-saints-row-2-xbox-360-ps3/">well-received</a> gangsta epic will make its way to PC on Jan. 6, 2009. The PC version of the game was originally expected to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/02/dont-trip-dawg-saints-row-2-be-comin-2-pc/">release with the console versions</a>, but after that <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2008/10/13/saints-row-2-pc-likely-not-shipping-this-week/">didn't happen</a>, several retailers listed the game with a <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2008/10/27/no-saints-row-2-pc-in-2008/">2009 release date</a>, which is confirmed to be the case now.<br />
<br />
The company explains the reason for the delay is that the PC version is a port from the consoles, which is being done by an external company and requires more time. Volition reassures that it is fully involved in this external port and that all the little differences between consoles and PCs is what's taking the extra time. <br />

<em>Saints Row 2</em> Associate Producer Dan Sutton reveals that Volition is already at work on another sequel in the urban sandbox series. Speaking with <a href="http://play.tm/interview/21547/dan-sutton-on-saints-row-2/">Play.tm</a>, Sutton states that the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/14/metareview-saints-row-2-xbox-360-ps3/">recently released</a> <em>SR2</em> ties up loose ends from the original game and that <em>SR3</em> will go in a "new direction."<br />
<br />
Considering that <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2">Saints Row 2</a></em> stands apart from <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/gta-iv">Grand Theft Auto IV</a></em> in how <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/26/low-brow-lowdown-saints-row-2-multiplayer/">over-the-top</a> it is, we certainly hope <em>Saints Row's</em> new direction isn't about toning <em>down</em> the series.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/27/saints-row-3-already-in-development-new-direction-planned/">Saints Row 3 already in development, 'new direction' planned</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 27 Oct 2008 15:00:00 EST. If a recently uploaded video (which you can find after the break) is any indication, you'll be taking on the task of "female streaking" in <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Saints-Row-II/">Saint's Row II</a></em>, which is sure to make all of our lives very annoying for weeks to come, or as soon as the mainstream media sees it. It's not really SFW, even though the lady business has been blurred out, giving the appearance that a giant Barbie doll became sentient and <em>horrifically</em> confused.<br />
<br />
But before you hop over the break to bask in utterly non-erotic semi-nudity, we'd ask you to reconsider. You're better than that, right? We're honestly a little embarrassed we brought it up. You wouldn't want your mom, girlfriend or, heck, even your friends who've seen actual boobs before to catch you watching something like that, would you? Why don't you just scroll down to the next post, dignity intact? Or, to put it more simply ... "Don't look, Ethel!"<br />

Things have been fairly aggressive between the two presidential nominees as of late, perhaps largely due to a <a href="http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/ideas/brainiac/2008/09/lipstick_on_a_p.html?p1=Well_MostPop_Emailed6">certain comment involving a farm animal and mouth-based cosmetics</a>. That's why we were so glad to see them squash the beef in a <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/905741/saints-row-2/videos/saintsrow2_coop_trlr_091008.html">recent <em>Saints Row 2</em> advertisement</a> (posted after the break), combining forces to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/gary-busey-promotes-saints-row-2-teaches-valuable-life-lessons/">wreak havoc across Stilwater</a> (much to the chagrin of their respective campaign staffs, we imagine). We're also glad to see that the character customization in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=saints+row+2&amp;searchsubmit=">THQ and Volition's crime-riddled sandbox</a> is so versatile. We've already begun planning our own presidential nominee superteams for when the game comes out -- we've always wondered what <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1944">Roosevelt and Dewey</a> would look like in a gang war.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/13/mccain-and-obama-join-forces-for-saints-row-2-trailer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>McCain and Obama join forces for Saints Row 2 trailer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/13/mccain-and-obama-join-forces-for-saints-row-2-trailer/">McCain and Obama join forces for Saints Row 2 trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 13 Sep 2008 21:30:00 EST. That said, there are obvious <em>facsimiles</em> of the two major United States presidential candidates, <a href="http://www.barackobama.com/">Barack Obama</a> and <a href="http://www.johnmccain.com/">John McCain</a>, featured in this <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39852.html">co-op trailer</a> for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saints Row 2</em></a>. For the record, there are also cops and robbers, rednecks and tree huggers, and let's not forget pirates and ninjas. Silly pairings aside, the video serves to highlight the drop in / drop out online co-op, which can be carried through the entire single player campaign. Anyone with a copy of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/crackdown"><em>Crackdown</em></a> knows that open world destruction is more fun with a friend. This latest <a style="font-style: italic;" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2">Saints Row 2</a> trailer is suppose to highlight their co-op gameplay mechanics, but who's going to notice that when you have the most awesome combination of McCain and Obama lookalikes walking side-by-side together with a firearm in their hand? We like it better when <span style="font-style: italic;">Saints Row 2</span> takes <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/06/saints-row-2-trailer-asks-would-you-rather/">the amusing route</a>, rather than trying to take that <span style="font-style: italic;">other</span> sandbox title <span style="font-style: italic;"></span> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/19/saints-row-2-promises-a-more-lighthearted-affair-than-gta/">head-on</a>. The game is coming out October 14th. We don't wanna spoil too much for you, so take a gander at the trailer, after the jump:<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&amp;newsid=31490">MaxConsole</a>]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/11/presidential-candidate-lookalikes-spotted-in-saints-row-2-traile/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Presidential candidate lookalikes spotted in Saints Row 2 trailer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/11/presidential-candidate-lookalikes-spotted-in-saints-row-2-traile/">Presidential candidate lookalikes spotted in Saints Row 2 trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Sep 2008 09:00:00 EST. Were you recently diagnosed with a severe case of <em>sanity</em>? We've got your physician-approved prescription posted after the break -- a <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39358.html">triple</a> <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39354.html?type=mov">dose</a> of <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39356.html">advertisements</a> for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=Saints%20Row%202">Saints Row 2</a></em>, with commentary provided by esteemed Shakespearian thespian, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uQZG-oEiV0">Gary Busey</a>. We highly doubt that Busey was provided with a script in these videos -- when <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Bullet_(film)">the <em>Silver Bullet</em> star</a> asks, "Who hasn't wanted to <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39358.html">kill someone with a garden gnome</a>," he's probably not reading from a script. His addled mind ponders that very question two or three times <em>a day</em>.<br />
<br />
If you're confident you can look into the heart of lunacy and come out unaffected, check the ads out after the jump. Even if you don't care about the game, we're sure you'll enjoy trying to pinpoint the moment Busey stops promoting the game, and starts having <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39356.html">honest-to-god Vietnam flashbacks</a> (video NSFW).<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/gary-busey-promotes-saints-row-2-teaches-valuable-life-lessons/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Gary Busey promotes Saints Row 2, teaches valuable life lessons</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/gary-busey-promotes-saints-row-2-teaches-valuable-life-lessons/">Gary Busey promotes Saints Row 2, teaches valuable life lessons</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 31 Aug 2008 15:30:00 EST. THQ has revealed to Europe the <em>Saint's Row 2</em> Collector's Edition bundle, which appears to come with the game, some posters, a 1GB USB stick in the shape of a bullet and some kind of ... gun. <a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=227105">Eurogamer</a> explains that "the box is shaped like a gun," but we can't tell from the picture above if the gun comes out of its casing, or if it's molded to the box. The publisher also tells the site this special edition is only for Xbox 360.<br />
<br />
We're not exactly sure about the <em>SR2</em> Collector's Edition for North America, so we'll have to wait and see if THQ announces this same bundle for the region. Sadly, nothing involving porn star and "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/25/tera-patrick-hired-as-special-producer-on-saints-row-2/">special producer</a>" Tera Patrick will be included in the box. <p>It's been a while since we checked in on <em>Saints Row 2</em>. It made a splash earlier when it <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/06/saints-row-2-trailer-asks-would-you-rather/">compared itself</a> to Rockstar's <em>Grand Theft Auto IV</em>, promising over-the-top crass humor which the somewhat emo Liberty City game failed to offer this time around. But, it looks like <em>Saints Row 2</em> isn't just all about potty humor -- it looks like there's going to be a story in this one too, continuing the gang violence featured in the original. For some reason, we liked it more when it just trying to be funny.<br /></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/28/more-gang-violence-in-saints-row-2-trailer/">More gang violence in Saints Row 2 trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Aug 2008 16:00:00 EST. A <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39153.html">new trailer</a> has been released showcasing one of the new gangs in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saints-row-2"><em>Saints Row 2</em></a>, the Ronin. Hailing from the Far East, the Ronin have a penchant for flashy jackets and swords. Honestly, if people can walk around in broad daylight with <em>swords on their backs</em>, we'd say that the game's city of Stillwater is in bad shape. It looks like the Saints have their work cut out for them as well if all the action in the trailer is any indication. Check out the trailer after the break (NSFW thanks to some language and some pretty nasty violence).<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/27/video-meet-the-ronin-gang-from-saints-row-2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video: Meet the Ronin gang from Saints Row 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/27/video-meet-the-ronin-gang-from-saints-row-2/">Video: Meet the Ronin gang from Saints Row 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 Aug 2008 15:15:00 EST.
