MLB 13 includes a few new features, such as a stadium setting with Playoff mode, a new beginner mode and improved Play Now, Franchise and Road To The Show modes. Franchise, Season and Road To The Show game saves can be synced among devices, whether PS3, Vita or that other PS3 you break out for special occasions.

After asking enterprising fans to dream up the name for the upcoming PlayStation Vita-bound installment of ModNation Racers, Sony found itself taksed with sifting through "thousands of great ideas" to find one winner. That winner is ModNation Racers: Road Trip. You see, it's a racing game (ie: it has roads) but it's also for a portable console, so you can take it on a road trip. That's the stuff winners are made out of, people.

Less successful entries included stinkers like "Honey I Shrunk The Modnation Racers" and "In-A-Gotta-Mod-Vita." Those entrants win a free, all-expenses-paid vacation to a sterilization clinic. Congratulations!

Tomorrow, ModNation Racers, uh, racers can download Title Update 1.02, which addresses long load times, squashes some bugs, improves server stability and adds a new "casual" difficulty level. The update will go live at 2:00 a.m. PDT and also brings with it a bunch of changes to the community site including race logs, tracking systems for monitoring your favorite creators (and their favorite creators), plus friend and rep search utilities, according to the PlayStation Blog.

Speed demons looking to expand their roster of racers can also download Nukular and Kart this week, a new ride and driver who look like they just leapt out of Mad Max or something. All we can say is we'd definitely steer clear of the guy on the track with the huge plow on the front of his ride. Just saying!
