Between the <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com">thrice-weekly comic</a>, the <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/">quad-monthly PATV episodes</a> and the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/penny-arcade-expo">bi-yearly conventions</a>, we find ourselves pretty saturated in Penny Arcade's artistic outings. Still, there are a few places in our lives where we could use some more of Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins' irreverent brand of jest -- like, for instance, our coffee table.<br />
<br />
That gap will soon be filled by the duo's new book, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Splendid-Magic-Penny-Arcade-Anniversary/dp/034551226X"><em>The Splendid Magic of Penny Arcade: The 11&amp;frac12; Anniversary Edition</em></a> -- a tome which covers the history of the comic, the Penny Arcade Expo and the annual Child's Play charity. The book is due out February 23 -- at which point its creators will kick off a national book tour. Check past the jump to see if they're making a stop in your town!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/06/penny-arcade-crew-kicking-off-new-book-tour-february-23/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Penny Arcade crew kicking off new book tour February 23</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/06/penny-arcade-crew-kicking-off-new-book-tour-february-23/">Penny Arcade crew kicking off new book tour February 23</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 06 Feb 2010 12:30:00 EST. Chances are, you've played one of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keiji_Inafune">Keiji Inafune</a>'s games. He created and designed the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2007/03/mega-man-dude.jpg">Mega Man</a> character, produced the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/onimusha"><em>Onimusha</em></a> games, and most recently worked on everybody's favorite zombies-attack-mall action game, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/deadrising"><em>Dead Rising</em></a>. If you happen to be in the NYC area, you, a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/09/dead-rising-creator-fends-off-fans-at-mall/">mere gaming mortal</a>, will be able to meet this esteemed game producer.<br /><br />The signing will happen at the GameStop across the street from the Manhattan Mall. Joystiq will be sending one <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/16/mega-64-takes-on-dead-rising/">photo journalist</a> to the event, camera (and chainsaw) in hand.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/07/meet-keiji-inafune-mega-man-creator-in-nyc-today/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Meet Keiji Inafune, Mega Man creator, in NYC today</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/07/meet-keiji-inafune-mega-man-creator-in-nyc-today/">Meet Keiji Inafune, Mega Man creator, in NYC today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 Aug 2007 11:15:00 EST. The esteemed developer's latest game, yet <em>another </em>entry into the zombie-ridden shopping mall sim genre, has already generated a great deal of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/04/dead-rising-demo-here-gears-demo-not-coming/">buzz</a>, possibly because it allows you to beat undead cretons to a pulp with baseball bats, benches and finely matured wheels of cheese. <br /><br />If you plan on attending the signing event tomorrow, here's what you need to know:<br />
<ul>
    <li><strong>Date: </strong>Tuesday, August 8, 2006 <br /></li>
    <li><strong>Time: </strong>4:00PM - 6:00PM</li>
    <li><strong>Location:</strong> EB Games, Redmond Town Center<br />16495 NE 74th Street<br />Redmond, Washington 98052 (Tel. 425-895-8331)</li>
    <li><strong>Demeanor: </strong>Approachable, but may unexpectedly and infrequently lunge</li>
</ul>
And don't forget, you'll <em>actually</em> have to purchase a copy of the game in order to have it signed. There will be plenty of free Xbox t-shirts, however, no doubt meant to distract the crowd's inherent urge to tear Mr. Inafune limb from limb and devour his brain.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/07/swarm-dead-rising-producer-at-signing-tomorrow/">Swarm Dead Rising producer at signing tomorrow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 07 Aug 2006 21:25:00 EST. Well, you might be in luck (even if you're not attending), as a few famous folks from the concert will be on hand to sign autographs in Chicago proper for free tonight.<br /><br />From 7 to 9 PM (presumably Central time) at the Tower Records store on 2301 N. Clark St., <em>Final Fantasy</em> composer Nobuo Uematsu, bilingual songstress Angela Aki (who wrote and sang the theme song for <em>FFXII</em>), and Principal Conductor and Music Director of PLAY! Arnie Roth will be signing autographs to promote the world-tour premiere of 'PLAY! A Video Game Symphony' and the CD for <em>More Friends - Music from FINAL FANTASY</em>.<br /><br />While this blogger is sadly occupied with prior engagements tonight, gamers in the area are more than welcome to mob that Tower Records and cause the store's employees much consternation and bewilderment. If you don't have any imported CDs to sign, however, don't fret: the store's web site claims to have "some awesome Japanese imports available for you to purchase and have autographed at the event." Not only that, Angela Aki will be performing live as well. Score! Anybody wanna tell us how this evening turns out when it's all sung and done?<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.dailynorthwestern.com/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticle&amp;uStory_id=6219b342-c19a-42e2-b279-2568b366e573"><em>The Daily Northwestern</em></a>; image culled from <a href="http://blog.excite.co.jp/angelaaki/2276096/">Angela Aki's blog</a>, <a href="http://www.square-enix-usa.com/uematsu/profile/">Nobuo Uematsu's Squenix profile</a>, and <a href="http://music.ign.com/articles/589/589030p3.html">Arnie Roth's 2005 interview with IGN</a>]<br /><br /><strong>See also:</strong><br />
