Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection temporarily $100 at official shop

Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Capcom's fairly massive Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection have been temporarily discounted over at Capcom's official shop, meaning that either version of the 15 disc box set can be had for the princely sum of $100.

While both bundles include a metric ton of physical goodies, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition and Street Fighter X Tekken, the PS3 SKU also includes codes to download all three Street Fighter Alpha games on PSN, in addition to other digital bonuses.

So, if you're part of the subset of people who own both consoles and are eager to dump a solid Benjamin on a stack of Street Fighter tapes, the PlayStation 3 version will have more bang for your buck. Also, can we borrow some money?

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Grand Finals take the stage Dec. 8

The Street Fighter 25th anniversary celebration concludes with the Grand Finals on December 8 in Burlingame, California, bringing 45 finalists from the US, UK, Brazil, Asia and France to compete for $125,000 in cash prizes.

The Grand Finals have players fight it out in the following games: Street Fighter X Tekken, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. The Street Fighter X Tekken winner will get a custom Street Fighter 25th Anniversary-branded Scion FR-S Sports Coupe.

The show floor will have all of the tournament games free to play, along with Darkstalkers Resurrection, and Yoshinori Ono and Tomoaki Ayano will be hanging out for signings and photos. The Grand Finals are at the Hyatt Regency SFO in Burlingame, California, on Saturday, December 8 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. PST. Admission is free and the first 1,000 through the door will get Street Fighter goodie bags.

Enormous Street Fighter box set arrives September 18

For the Street Fighter fan who thinks he or she has everything, Capcom has revealed the $150 Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set, due September 18 on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The box includes no fewer than 15 discs, containing Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (and its DLC), and Street Fighter X Tekken (and its DLC), along with a documentary, two anime movies, the full Street Fighter animated series, and eleven discs of music.

The set also includes an art book and a light-up Ryu statue.

And Ryu's belt.

Alongside the announcement, Capcom also revealed some dates for 25th anniversary tournaments this year, which you can find after the break.
