The company brings us ever closer to that glorious metagame with Dynasty Warriors 8, available July 16 for PS3 and Xbox in North America.<br /><br />This time, Tecmo Koei includes several "What If" scenarios, which differ from the exacting historical accuracy the series usually demands. Fighters who died in certain historical battles live, and the game shows how history might have changed.<br /><br />Those campaigns, and the normal Story Mode battles, will take place across over 40 new stages, populated by your choice from over 70 playable characters and thousands of hapless enemy soldiers.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/03/dynasty-warriors-8-remakes-history-july-16/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dynasty Warriors 8 remakes history July 16</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/03/dynasty-warriors-8-remakes-history-july-16/">Dynasty Warriors 8 remakes history July 16</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Apr 2013 10:30:00 EST. The <a href="http://www.deadpoolbugle.com/2013/02/deadpool-video-game-to-be-released-in.html">Deadpool Bugle</a> spotted an ad for <em>Deadpool </em>in some comics last week, complete with the launch window right in everyone's faces. We previously heard half of that - the "2013" part - so it looks like things are narrowing down.<br /><br />We've contacted Activision to clarify the launch window for <em>Deadpool</em>.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> Activision confirmed to Joystiq <em>Deadpool</em>'s "summer 2013" release window.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/12/deadpool-sneaks-in-a-summer-2013-launch-window/">Deadpool sneaks in a summer 2013 launch window [Update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 12 Feb 2013 22:00:00 EST. According to the brief announcement, "various play styles" will be included, like one that lets two players compete against one another using "just the GamePad."<br /><br />The original game did some interesting things with the Wiimote, like having one player hide the controller while another finds it by listening for noises from the speaker. If nothing else, the new game will probably have some clever ideas for the GamePad.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/23/wii-party-sequel-coming-to-wii-u-this-summer/">Wii Party sequel coming to Wii U this summer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 23 Jan 2013 11:30:00 EST. The game has <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/24/project-x-zone-has-more-than-200-characters/">more than 200 characters</a> total, including protagonists, enemies and those in cutscenes only. In September, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/23/harada-is-pretty-confident-he-can-get-project-x-zone-localized/">tweeted</a> that he would push Namco Bandai to localize <em>Project X Zone</em>, and it seems his confidence wasn't for naught.<br /><br /><span>To supplement the good news, check out a gallery of fresh <em>Project X Zone </em>images right here.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-x-zone/">Project X Zone</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-x-zone/#5586619"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/bmuploads2013-01-21901xcrosshit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-x-zone/#5586620"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/bmuploads2013-01-21902attack11_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-x-zone/#5586621"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/bmuploads2013-01-21903chatafterbattle1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-x-zone/#5586622"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/bmuploads2013-01-21904chatafterbattle2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-x-zone/#5586623"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/bmuploads2013-01-21905chatbeforebattle1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></span><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/21/project-x-zone-crashes-us-europe-australasia-this-summer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Project X Zone crashes US, Europe, Australasia this summer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/21/project-x-zone-crashes-us-europe-australasia-this-summer/">Project X Zone crashes US, Europe, Australasia this summer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 Jan 2013 14:45:00 EST. Now Oddworld Inhabitants' <a href="http://www.facebook.com/OfficialOddworld/">Facebook page</a> has offered an update: it's not just a remake. ... Well, okay, it's still <em>technically</em> a remake, but with enough effort behind it to also qualify as a "reboot." Are you still with us?<br /><br />Rather than updating the original <em>Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee</em> 2D artwork, Just Add Water will be using the original PSOne game "as a blueprint" for an HD remake built from scratch. We'll get our first taste of the game later this year, ahead of its planned launch in the summer of 2013.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> It looks like studio coordinator Wil Bunce is doubtful the remake will launch Summer 2013. In <a href="http://www.oddworldforums.net/showthread.php?p=545167#post545167">a forum post</a>, he says that there's "not one person on the development team who thinks that's going to happen."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/11/oddworld-abes-oddysee-being-rebuilt-from-scratch-hd-remake-co/">Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee being rebuilt from scratch, HD remake coming next summer [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 11 Jun 2012 23:30:00 EST.
