And sometimes that listing is called "The Expendables 2 Videogame."<br /><br />A new <a href="http://www.classification.gov.au/Usingclassification/Findaclassification/Pages/Classification-search-result.aspx?sid=CCXeqzDO0%252fOkn9sxuBhSMg%253d%253d&amp;ncdctx=TeoS%252fyupqXoI26XslBJIWSSOZ2kxh6JruviWFs+AaZQ%253dhttp://www.classification.gov.au/Usingclassification/Findaclassification/Pages/Classification-search-result.aspx?sid=CCXeqzDO0%252fOkn9sxuBhSMg%253d%253d&amp;ncdctx=TeoS%252fyupqXoI26XslBJIWSSOZ2kxh6JruviWFs+AaZQ%253d">listing</a> on Australia's Classification site reveals a game under that title in the works at Ubisoft. You'll be shocked to hear that the game, based on the action movie starring everyone who's ever been in an action movie, contains "strong violence."<br /><br />Despite the unambiguous title, there are still questions, like choice of platforms and release window. We're asking Ubisoft now. We're also curious as to how complicated it will be to make our in-game Van Damme jump up and do the splits across a countertop. There's probably a dedicated button for that.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/13/australian-rating-reveals-expendables-2-game-from-ubisoft/">Australian rating reveals Expendables 2 game from Ubisoft</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 13 Jun 2012 13:00:00 EST. The film which critics are hailing as "the muscliest video escapade in the whole of cinematic history" now has a similarly masculine video game adaptation. <em>The Expendables -</em> an upcoming summer blockbuster starring Sly Stallone, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Brock Stonejaw and Mickey Rourke - now has a free-to-play <em>Contra</em> clone on its <a href="http://www.facebook.com/expendablesmovie?v=app_136379469711900#!/expendablesmovie?v=app_136379469711900">official Facebook fan page</a>. (Also, one of the actors listed above isn't real. Can <em>you</em> guess which one?)<br />
<br />
Take heed: You'll have to "Like" the <em>Expendables</em> fan page in order to gain access to the game. We realize that some people might not feel comfortable broadcasting their endorsement for what is clearly the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6RU5y2fU6s"><em>movie of the decade</em></a>, though, for the life of us, we can't imagine why.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/13/expendables-gets-retro-inspired-facebook-game/">Expendables gets retro-inspired Facebook game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 13 Jul 2010 07:00:00 EST. Using the touchscreen, players guide "the world's lamest international private army" through 35 missions, blowing up almost everything in sight. <br /><br />As you can see in the trailer and screenshots, this doesn't look like the most polished game, but the character sprites (and the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-expendables/909849/">buzz-saw tractor</a>) definitely have some charm to them. <span style="font-style: italic;">The Expendables</span> actually reminds us of a faster-paced <span style="font-style: italic;">Syndicate</span>. You remember Bullfrog's <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7w5darAVWw&amp;feature=related" style="font-style: italic;">Syndicate</a>, right? That series was tight. <br /><br />MWE hasn't yet announced whether it has managed to pick up a publisher for the title. We have a feeling that if the studio ever does find one, it will have to find a more useful implementation for the top screen. Not that skulls laughing and machine guns spitting out bullet casings aren't <span style="font-style: italic;">totally</span> awesome.<br /><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://ds.ign.com/articles/887/887317p1.html">IGN</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/09/the-expendables-guns-blazing-everything-exploding/">The Expendables: Guns blazing, everything exploding</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 Jul 2008 22:00:00 EST.
