It's been nearly a year since we've posted about The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and it doesn't seem like much has changed. This new footage still reminds us a little too much of that other devilish dungeon crawler. We'll get a better look on PC this spring and Xbox 360 "later this year."

Remember the slickly produced teaser trailer for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing? It turns out that said trailer was pretty far removed from the actual gameplay. Based on newly released footage, it appears that Van Helsing's PC and XBLA adventure will be of the dungeon-crawling variety.

Neocore, known for the King Arthur series, has announced The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, an action RPG "loosely" based on Bram Stoker's famous novel, Dracula. The game stars the famous vampire hunter's twinkly-eyed son - who has an apparent predilection for goofy hats - and "sets players on a fantastical journey to Borgovia, a kingdom on the very edge of Eastern Europe, and the perilous lands surrounding it." Borgovia, naturally, is overrun with monsters, monsters that presumably need slaying.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is slated to arrive by the end of 2012 on PC and Xbox Live Arcade. Watch young Van Helsing think about killing a vampire in the trailer above.
