Amazon has Absolutely Great Square Enix sale, $165 of games for $10

The Absolutely Great Square Pack from Amazon offers seven games and one piece of DLC in digital form, all of which would normally cost $165, for just $10: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition and "The Missing Link" DLC, Hitman: Blood Money, Just Cause 2, Just Cause, Quantum Conundrum, Supreme Commander 2, and The Last Remnant.

That's a savings of 94 percent, in case it wasn't clear how absolutely great this sale is. Buying the pack also grants $5 toward a pre-order of Hitman: Absolution. These deals run through October 20 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Don't be a square and miss out on this sale.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution alters DLC prices this week on Xbox Live

Xbox Live's Deal of the Week is getting some transhumanist modifiers with three pieces of DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution on sale. The Missing Link is 600 MS Points, Explosive Mission is 120 MS Points and the Tactical Enhancement Pack is 80 MS Points.

The deal runs from today to September 24. On September 25, the Deal of the Week goes Marvel with a sale on Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles and tables, X-Men Arcade, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and DLC for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Check out the complete list on Major Nelson's blog.

PSA: Deus Ex 'The Missing Link' DLC available now; major discount on full game at Amazon, Steam

Deus Ex-cellent DLC "The Missing Link" is available today for PC, Xbox 360 and, once the update occurs later today, PSN. The five- to six-hour campaign finds augmented security agent Adam Jensen on a mother lovin' boat, but not the kind you see in rap videos. Check out our review to find out what you'll receive for $15.

For those who haven't picked up the game of the year contender yet, Amazon and Steam have some significant discounts on the game for a limited time. On PC, Valve's platform has the title at 25 percent off for $37.49 as part of its "midweek madness" sale, while Amazon's downloadable version is 40 percent off and $29.99. Console owners can grab Deus Ex: Human Revolution for $36 from Amazon as part of the site's "deal of the week" promotion.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Missing Link review

As grim as Adam Jensen's predicament is in The Missing Link, which sees him captured aboard a militaristic ship and stripped of his defining augmentations, it's easy to envision more inhospitable scenarios. An informed nemesis would solder shut every air vent, train his minions to peek around corners, and make sure that pocket secretaries stayed in their damn pockets. But where would our protagonists be if not for life-saving conveniences and bouts of enemy ineptitude?

That's why it shouldn't surprise you to learn that Adam quickly makes his escape and becomes involved in a new mini conspiracy, adequately shaped for what feels like a condensed run through Deus Ex: Human Revolution. As before, you'll start out weak and inclined to move stealthily, and eventually shape yourself biologically to accommodate new tactics. What Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Missing Link provides in its narrative isolation is a creeping tension and a sense of uncertainty.

Deus Ex 'Missing Link' DLC finds launch date, price

If you aren't busy creeping through the shadows for other reasons, the Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC, "The Missing Link," should be ready to play on October 18 in North America. Eidos Montreal also confirmed the DLC will launch on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC for $14.99 (1200 MSP).

Finding The Missing Link in Deus Ex's First DLC

I'm not sure if Deus Ex: Human Revolution's first add-on, "The Missing Link", could have stumbled into view more clumsily than it did. A sort of alternate reality game revealed its existence, but clever players figured out more than Square-Enix and Eidos Montreal bargained for, leaking the premise and "The Missing Link's" primary gameplay conceit without any sort of context. It really hurt the general excitement levels for one of the most well-received games of the year.

I'm here to give you that context. And I might just be here to give you back some of that general excitement too.

Deus Ex 'Missing Link' DLC gets a trailer, more details

Square Enix has shed some more light on Adam Jensen's retroactively mysterious disappearance covered in the upcoming "The Missing Link" downloadable content for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. As previously revealed, the DLC fills in a three-day chunk of Deus Ex, during which Jensen loses the use of his cybernetic augmentations.

We assumed the DLC would include new characters and story, but today Square officially revealed a much more interesting tidbit: The ability to "rebuild Adam's augmentation set." In other words, players will be able to reapply those wasted Praxis points on more useful augmentations. We're guessing Jensen is still stuck with his most useless augmentation, however, that being his permanent sunglasses.

"The Missing Link" will arrive next month.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution's 'Missing Link' DLC due in October

Though it's being outpaced by unglamorous leaks, the Deus Ex DLC drip-feed continues with a few more details on Human Revolution's upcoming add-on. Square Enix has announced that "The Missing Link" will be available in October, bringing with it new environments, characters and some narrative embellishment.

As we've already reported, the DLC will address a temporal gap in the storyline that has been made mysterious retroactively by the announcement of this DLC. From now on, become suspicious every time a protagonist takes a nap and the screen blacks out.
