The Gregory Brothers, creators of Autotune the News and all those viral videos about burgers and bed intruders, <a href="http://nyti.ms/RXWjmw">songified Barack Obama and Mitt Romney</a> from the Democratic and Republican national conventions (respectively, in case you get those two mixed up).<br /><br />The video is titled "Patriot Game" and presents the presidential candidates side-by-side, comparing their talking points as if they were literal points in an 8-bit video game, set to an upbeat tune. Watch the piggy banks, (bleeding) hearts and American flags stack up over at <a href="http://nyti.ms/RXWjmw">The New York Times</a>, and see who wins to be the fictional, autotuned President of Earths and Moon. It might surprise you.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/17/obama-romney-get-chiptuned-in-battle-for-presidential-seat/">Obama, Romney get chiptuned in battle for presidential seat</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 17 Sep 2012 12:30:00 EST. <a href="http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/"><em>Dwarf Fortress</em></a> is an ASCII roguelike/city-building game for Windows, OSX, and Linux. The New York Times wrote a <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/24/magazine/the-brilliance-of-dwarf-fortress.html">six-page magnum-opus</a> about the game and its creators.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/24/the-new-york-times-wrote-6-pages-about-a-game-called-dwarf-fortr/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>The New York Times examines Dwarf Fortress</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/24/the-new-york-times-wrote-6-pages-about-a-game-called-dwarf-fortr/">The New York Times examines Dwarf Fortress</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 24 Jul 2011 21:30:00 EST. It's a decent portable puzzler, and, though we've featured bargains for the game several times already, after seeing its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/06/remember-alf-hes-back-in-crosswords-form/">casual ALF plug</a>, we promised ourselves that we would do whatever we could to support <em>NYT Crosswords</em>. So , here we are, supporting it ... with an internet link.<br /><br />Don't forget that this half-price markdown ends today! Also, if you add another $15 worth of stuff to your order (e.g. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/ALF-Season-One-Alf/dp/B0002DB5N6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=dvd&amp;qid=1198447918&amp;sr=8-1">ALF Season 1 DVD</a>), Amazon will ship everything for free. Now, peek past the break for ALF's recent interview on <span style="font-style: italic;">The O'Reilly Factor</span>. No, we don't have any idea why he appeared on the show, either.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/23/ten-down-nyt-crosswords/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ten down: NYT Crosswords</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/23/ten-down-nyt-crosswords/">Ten down: NYT Crosswords</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 23 Dec 2007 17:30:00 EST.
