Only the first player to use an application can earn trophies. To earn trophies, you must link the Sony Entertainment Network account of the first player to use this application with the PS Vita system." Pocket Gamer says <a href="http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/PS+Vita/PlayStation+Vita/feature.asp?c=38334">the following steps</a> will render that warning useless:<ol> <li> Go to the main menu and hold down the screen for two seconds, until little bubbles appear on the upper-right side of each game's icon. Hit the bubble you want and click "Delete."</li> <li> A screen reading "All data related to this application will be deleted" will pop up. Hit "OK."</li> <li> Load the game and you should be good to go.</li></ol>This process won't delete the previous player's trophies, Pocket Gamer adds.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/29/pocket-gamer-how-to-get-trophies-in-used-vita-games/">Pocket Gamer: How to get Trophies in used Vita games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 29 Feb 2012 01:00:00 EST. Oh, yeah. You know more about each other than any other device you've played with previously, but there's always more to learn. Sony has compiled a list of <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/02/24/ps-vita-our-9-favorite-tips/">nine tips and tricks</a> for the Vita that may make your life together easier -- as long as you <em>put the toilet seat down</em>, Harold. No really, that's one of the tips.<br /><br />The list in includes Sony's tricks, but the comments offer a few more gems, such as pressing the plus and minus volume buttons to mute all sound on your Vita. You can also mute it by yelling at the top of your lungs, "Shut up, Vita!" Really, try that one on a crowded bus some time.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/26/sony-posts-official-tips-and-tricks-for-vita-comments-have-more/">Sony posts official tips and tricks for Vita, comments have more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 26 Feb 2012 14:00:00 EST. With the launch of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/super-mario-collection-special-pack">25th Anniversary edition</a> of <em>Super Mario All-Stars </em>for Wii drawing near (this Sunday!), you may be seriously tempted to buy all those classic <em>Mario</em> games again for, like -- what? The fourth time? Think again! Not only is the "Limited Edition" Wii game a veritable <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQteZTifV5Y">ROM dump</a> of the SNES <em>All-Stars</em> (which features graphically and musically enhanced versions of the NES games, by 16-bit standards), it's also missing a lot of the <em>great</em> "glitches" from the original games.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://tasvideos.org/GameResources/NES/SuperMarioBros.html">TASVideos</a> has assembled a comprehensive guide to the elite tricks and tactics from the original <em>Super Mario Bros.</em> games -- with pictures! <em>Animated pictures</em>. It serves as a stark reminder to us purists why there's really no substitute for the originals, even when said substitute comes in a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/06/super-mario-all-stars-u-s-box-art-revealed-iwata-asks-talks-mu/">nifty box</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/08/super-mario-bros-tricks-explained-with-animated-gifs/">Super Mario Bros. tricks explained with animated GIFs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 Dec 2010 04:00:00 EST. Hello Games always planned to release <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/joe-danger">Joe Danger</a> </em>on all digital distribution channels (Xbox 360, PSN and PC) but, as of right now, the game is only confirmed for release on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/05/joe-danger-stirs-up-trouble-on-psn-doesnt-rule-out-other-platf/">PSN</a>. However, according to <a href="http://www.esrb.org/ratings/synopsis.jsp?Certificate=28913">an ESRB certification</a>, the time for Joe to shine on the PC could be nigh -- a move we endorse entirely.<br />
<br />
Based on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/10/joe-danger-psn-preview/">our time with the title</a> back at GDC, we think the game should be on every platform imaginable (y'know, because it's <em>fun</em>), but the ESRB listing makes no mention of an Xbox 360 release. We've reached out to Hello Games for clarification on which platforms Joe will light up with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/joe-danger/2329112/#2329112">that million dollar smile</a> of his. We'll keep you posted.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/22/esrb-joe-danger-popping-wheelies-on-the-pc/">ESRB: Joe Danger popping wheelies on the PC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 22 Apr 2010 03:00:00 EST. Brawl</em></a>, but we felt the need to do it again. The above video, which is a collection of glitches and tricks you can pull off in <em>Brawl</em>, was too much to pass up. So, give it a watch, as it features a very cheap Sonic, a pair of Luigis pulling off ridiculous combos mid-air and Bowser being trapped in a very small space.<br /><br /><br />

Some of their advice is obvious, but their points on performing Link's roll ("As you walk, touch the very edge of the screen, then drag your stylus towards Link and quickly slide back to the screen's edge.") and practicing for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/multiplayer">multiplayer</a> battles in the Temple of the Ocean King are helpful.<br /><br />Provided that you've already sailed past the fog in the northwestern section of the map, the page of info should be spoiler-free, unlike the forum threads out there riddled with casual posts that give the game's great parts away. Once we did, however, a collective gasp shuddered forth from the DSF staff as we realized that this rather vague name (which, for all we knew, could have been the release of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2007/07/dsstillprintsmoney-ak.jpg">money-printer</a> at last) was most likely <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/24/bust-some-magic-tricks-on-your-ds/"><em>Magic Taizen</em></a>, the magic trainer that we thought might never make it outside Japan. It looks like we're not the <a href="http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/07/analysis-e3-con.html">only</a> <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/e307/nintendo-bringing-magic-training-stateside-277821.php">ones</a> who've reached that conclusion. We can only hope we'll be learning some one-handed cuts and all about pulling rabbits from our clothing this November. DS games are a lot cheaper than buying <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Strong-magic-Creative-showmanship-close-up/dp/B0006QNQ9K/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-5166741-2486524?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1184349644&amp;sr=8-1">magic</a> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Cards-As-Weapons-Ricky-Jay/dp/0446387568/ref=sr_1_5/102-5166741-2486524?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1184349725&amp;sr=1-5">books</a>!<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/e307-nintendo-making-magic-for-non-japanese-gamers/">E307: Nintendo making magic for non-Japanese gamers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Jul 2007 15:40:00 EST. He REALLY loves two things; wine and the Wii. He doesn't just love them, either ... he is extremely charged up about both as we found out firsthand.<br /><br />Gary runs a website called <a href="http://winelibrary.com/">Wine Library</a>, where he sells wine. He also runs a "vidcast" about wine called <a href="http://tv.winelibrary.com/">Wine Library TV</a>, appropriately enough, where there are over 186 episodes (!) about wine. He's not some snobby "We serve no wine before its time" Orson Welles-ish character, instead he's a bit 'in yo face!' and Marv Albert about things. Of course, he's from New Jersey, so can you blame him?<br /><br />However, what's even cooler (and of more interest to you, dear readers) is the latest site Gary has co-founded called <a href="http://www.wiitube.com/">WiiTube</a>. It's meant to be a social site for Wii owners, with profiles containing Wii numbers, and also a spot for people to come to share tips and tricks. Can't beat a certain boss? Post about it on WiiTube, then someone can upload a video on the site showing how it's done. <br /><br />The site is built around Opera and meant to look great with the Wii browser. They also collect the best Wii videos and <a href="http://www.wiitube.com/wii_trailers">game trailers</a> from YouTube and link them all in one central location, so you don't have to go searching through YouTube on your own and sift through loads of spam vids and those bizarre Japanese entries that are impossible to read. <br /><br />Gary and his team will be giving away Wiis through the site very soon, so you might want to head over and sign up if you're interested in something like, oh not much ... just a free Wii. Plus some Wii-centric goodness for your Wii browser.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/21/nintendo-wii-mashed-with-youtube-wiitube/">Nintendo Wii mashed with YouTube = WiiTube</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 21 Feb 2007 09:25:00 EST. This is, like <em>totally</em> the most EXTREME version of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sandwich">Video Sandwich</a>, dude! In our <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7sdI8D_WWw">first video</a>, you see a skateboarder pulling off a trick with his PSP while boarding. You don't ever see Tony Hawk doing that these days. Pretty cool, huh?<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gno3lY5bVyM">bottom video</a> features yet another one of the hilarious "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/19/dont-make-choices-let-tekken-decide/">Let <em>Tekken</em> Decide</a>" advertisements. After seeing it, you'll be one of the few on this planet that can confidentally say you've seen an Asian pimp send someone to an alligator pit-of-doom. And that's an accomplishment, right?<br /><br /><strong>See also:<br /></strong><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/18/dont-get-mad-get-even-with-tekken/">Don't get mad! Get even with Tekken</a>

I'm not too interested in the musings of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/26/fight-psp-fanboy-engages-in-battle-of-wits/">illiterate fanboy</a>, but I am <em>totally</em> awe-inspired by the crazy things that people have been doing in GTA:LCS. The cheat devices for GTA have come a long way since the first time PSP Fanboy <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2005/11/29/cheat-at-gta-lcs-the-quick-and-easy-way/">reported on it</a>. People are now defying all logic, performing gravity-defying tricks, riding on walls, spawning helicopters and even creating trick ramps for those that want <em>Liberty City</em> to be one giant level of <em>Tony Hawk</em>. Here's some of my favorites from the GTA cheats and trick community.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/27/extreme-airtime-in-gta-lcs/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Extreme airtime in GTA:LCS</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/27/extreme-airtime-in-gta-lcs/">Extreme airtime in GTA:LCS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 27 Aug 2006 16:10:00 EST. In citing that Kojima asked to have Snake involved in <em>Super Smash Bros. Melee</em>, the magazine says that the request was made too close to deadline, so they were unable to include him. Shiggy and Sakurai have said that they are close to including one other outside character, and commented that the most requested character is none other than Sega's mascot, and Mario's old rival, Sonic the Hedgehog.<br /><br />Now, we've all heard about the April Fool's joke about Sonic being unlockable in <em>SSBM</em>, but with strong support of the new console from Sega with some launch title, one of which being an all-new Sonic adventure, we're inclined to say that this is likely to happen. Is the character they're in talks to include none other than the speedy, ring-obsessed Sonic?<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://wii.qj.net/Sakurai-and-Miyamoto-Comment-on-Sonic-s-Popularity/pg/49/aid/62240">QJ</a>; Thanks vidGuy!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/21/sonic-in-the-next-smash-bros-game/">Sonic in the next Smash Bros. game?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 Aug 2006 10:30:00 EST.
