We're like a somewhat creepier, less linguistic <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M6qgZeHZ4E">Babel Fish</a>. The one thing your brain has been demanding is an updated version of 2002's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Renegade"><em>Command &amp; Conquer: Renegade</em></a>.<br /><br />We'd like to bring to your attention <a href="http://www.renegade-x.com/site/"><em>Renengade X: Black Dawn</em></a>, a "spiritual successor" created by fans at Totem Arts. Tomorrow, the group will release the full single-player "mini-campaign," which was built in the Unreal Development Kit, and later Totem Arts plans to release a new multiplayer installment using the UDK.<br /><br />In its current form, <em>Renegade X</em> is an updated version of the original game's multiplayer, made in <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em>, and has been playable for some time. If you want to partake, you'll need to own a copy of <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em> with the latest updates.<br /><br />Or, you know, just wait a day.<br /><br />[Thanks, ssjChris!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/27/candc-renegade-remake-renegade-x-black-dawn-deploys-tomorrow/">C&amp;C: Renegade remake Renegade X: Black Dawn deploys tomorrow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 27 Jan 2012 22:00:00 EST. <br />
Remember <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/command-and-conquer-renegade"><em>Command &amp; Conquer: Renegade</em></a>, the first-person shooter set in the C&amp;C universe that came out back in 2002? One group of fans apparently remembers it so fondly that they're remaking the title as <a href="http://www.renegade-x.com/site/">a game called <em>Renegade X</em></a>, going so far as to not only recreate settings and levels from the title in a more modern graphics engine, but also create new content for the mix of real-time strategy and FPS action gameplay.<br />
<br />
The fanmade game actually looks like it's coming along well, and there's a version available for download right now (though it requires an updated copy of <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em> to play). The full final game won't be out until "when its [sic] done" according to the video above, but hopefully that will be right on schedule. We wouldn't want these guys to have to remake <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM0QUcGGdoQ">the infamous "Havoc takes on Westwood"</a> video, too, for releasing as late as the original team.<br />
<br />

Man, are you guys ready to get meta? Epic Games founder (and Unreal Engine mastermind) Tim Sweeney was recently the subject of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/unreal-tournament-3"><em>Unreal Tournament 3</em></a> skin crafted by artist Gary Storkamp. Apparently, the guy is crazy about Burger King. And about hitting dudes with his keyboard.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/25/epic-games-tim-sweeney-turned-into-a-game-character/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Epic Games' Tim Sweeney turned into a game character</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/25/epic-games-tim-sweeney-turned-into-a-game-character/">Epic Games' Tim Sweeney turned into a game character</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Apr 2011 16:30:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left; ">When we last wrote about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/onlive">OnLive</a>, the "cloud gaming" service had just <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/onlive-microconsole-available-for-pre-order-launches-dec-2-for/">announced a price and ship date</a> for its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/onlive-microconsole-review/">MicroConsole hardware</a>. At the time, we also reported that it was planning to launch <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/onlive-introducing-flat-rate-monthly-plan-for-back-catalog-indi/">a flat-rate pricing plan</a> for access to older "back catalog" titles and indie games, with a price to be announced. This morning, the company has set what's now known as the "PlayPack" plan at $9.99 per month, and will make it available to all OnLive users on January 15, 2011. <br />
<br />
PlayPack is available <em>right now</em> to those with the OnLive MicroConsole -- or soon to get one, as they've begun shipping to Founding Members today -- in "beta" form, free of charge until the official roll-out.<br />
<br />
Currently, the PlayPack beta offers access to a collection of about a dozen games, some new to the service (like <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/prince-of-persia">Prince of Persia</a></em> and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tomb-raider-underworld">Tomb Raider: Underworld</a></em>) while others, like <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/unreal-tournament-3">Unreal Tournament 3</a></em>, have been on the service since it launched last summer. OnLive says it will have a library of 40 games ready for PlayPack subscribers when the for-pay tier launches in January. Looking at the finer print, some of the games "require a mouse and/or keyboard" -- which are supported in both wired and wireless flavors by the MicroConsole. Check out a partial list of games included in the PlayPack beta after the break.</div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/onlive-prices-flat-rate-playpack-plan-at-10-per-month-begins/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>OnLive prices flat-rate 'PlayPack' plan at $10 per month, begins MicroConsole shipments</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/onlive-prices-flat-rate-playpack-plan-at-10-per-month-begins/">OnLive prices flat-rate 'PlayPack' plan at $10 per month, begins MicroConsole shipments</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Dec 2010 12:01:00 EST. Much like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/@reviews,apb">reviewing an MMO</a>, I didn't really feel comfortable "reviewing" OnLive and I don't know that I ever will. I can (and will) make a handful of declarative statements about my feelings on the service as it stands right now, but, like an MMO, sweeping changes could occur tomorrow that obliviate all previous statements. That said, as of right now, OnLive <em>works</em>. <br />
<br />
In my experience with the service -- on both coasts and three major US cities -- it was quick, responsive, and relatively free of bugs (though I did encounter a couple). And demos are available for almost every game, so I put at least a bit of time in with nearly every title currently playable. <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/dirt-2">Dirt 2</a></em> with DirectX 11 running on my 10-month-old (Apple!) laptop? Speeds along without a hitch. <em>Unreal Tournament 3?</em> No issues (well, other than not finding anyone to play against outside of bots). I was also able to hook up a wired Xbox 360 controller without any additional installation and it worked flawlessly -- the Xbox guide button even brought up the OnLive guide and auto-paused games (madness!). And though I probably wouldn't suggest OnLIve for hardcore, twitch gamers -- and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/09/onlive-duo-pitch-platform-they-believe-will-change-the-world/">neither would the company itself</a> -- I would absolutely recommend it to everyone else.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gdc-09-onlive-debut/">GDC 09: OnLive debut</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gdc-09-onlive-debut/#1451130"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/onlivegdc15_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gdc-09-onlive-debut/#1451129"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/onlivegdc14_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gdc-09-onlive-debut/#1451128"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/onlivegdc13_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gdc-09-onlive-debut/#1451126"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/onlivegdc12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gdc-09-onlive-debut/#1451125"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/onlivegdc11_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/13/onlive-the-first-few-weeks/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>OnLive: The first few weeks</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/13/onlive-the-first-few-weeks/">OnLive: The first few weeks</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 13 Jul 2010 17:00:00 EST. Oh, sorry -- do you lack the cryptologic know-how to decipher that headline? Excuse us as we get our Layton on:
<ul>
    <li><em>UT3</em> is not a shorthand way of saying <em>three urinary tract infections</em> -- rather, it's the acronym commonly used to refer to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-3"><em>Unreal Tournament 3</em></a>.</li>
    <li>Though the internet-savvy may assume FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, that doesn't make much sense with the previous piece of the puzzle in place. However, "Free-to-Play" fits <em>quite nicely</em>.</li>
    <li>STW <em>obviously</em> means "Steam this weekend." If you couldn't figure that out, you should probably go jump off a cliff or something.</li>
</ul>
Every puzzle has an answer -- this time around, the answer is "<em>Unreal Tournament 3</em> is <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/news/2830/">free-to-play on Steam this weekend</a>," beginning today at 1PM PST. Epic Games CEO and founder, Tim Sweeney, recently chatted with <a href="http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/697646/Epic-Not-To-Release-A-New-Unreal-Tournament-For-Several-Years.html">G4</a> about the upcoming Dark Corners content for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gears-of-war-2"><em>Gears of War 2</em></a>. Yeah, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/21/review-gears-of-war-2-road-to-ruin-dlc/">been there</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/21/video-gears-of-war-2s-dark-corners-maps/">done that</a>. Sweeney did, however, mention something interesting regarding the future of our favorite fragfest, <em>Unreal Tournament</em>.<br /><br />"<em>Unreal Tournament</em> is certainly a major long-term priority but we're planning not to release a major retail game in the series for several years," Sweeney said. He commented that this move was to aid the company in focusing on "a few other initiatives." We're placing our bets on some kind of downloadable release (a smart move since <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/23/battlefield-1943-downloads-break-servers-and-records/">the interest in downloadable FPS games</a> is certainly there), especially since Sweeney took care to only mention <em>retail</em>.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/07/23/tim-sweeney-no-new-unreal-tournament-game-for-several-years/">Big Download</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/24/epic-no-more-retail-unreal-tournament-releases-for-several-years/">Epic: No more retail Unreal Tournament releases 'for several years'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 24 Jul 2009 15:15:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament"><em>Unreal Tournament III</em></a> will be <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/news/2537/">completely free</a> to download and play on Steam this weekend. This free version, called <em>Unreal Tournament III Black, </em>will include all the new content that was added in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/19/titan-pack-coming-to-unreal-tournament-3-on-march-5th/">Titan Pack</a> in March, as well as a recent patch, taking the version number up to 2.1. You can pre-load the game right now, in preparation for a weekend of <em>Unreal</em> goodness. <br /> <br />Sure, the game may not be as fresh as it once was, but free is free and Epic has to find <em>some</em> way to draw in interest from the now reinvigorated <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/team-fortress-2"><em>Team Fortress 2</em></a> crowd. At least it will give you something to do while you're waiting for all the E3 news to begin on Monday. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/05/26/new-unreal-tournament-iii-free-play-period-on-steam-this-weekend/">BigDownload</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/27/unreal-tournament-3-free-to-play-on-steam-this-weekend/">Unreal Tournament 3 free to play on Steam this weekend</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 May 2009 01:30:00 EST. In the past, we've seen a number of cool <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament"><span style="font-style: italic;">Unreal Tournament</span></a> mods -- including that fascinating <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2008/02/22/unreal-tournament-iii-gets-ps3-user-created-lego-mod/">LEGO creation</a> from a year ago -- but we've never seen anything quite like the <span style="font-style: italic;">Sonic the Hedgehog</span> mod (posted after the break). The concept takes the gun-slinging action of <span style="font-style: italic;">Unreal Tournament</span> to <em>Sonic's</em> Green Hill Zone. The mod looks just like the original level from the first <span style="font-style: italic;">Sonic</span> game; it even sounds like it (listen to the bumper sound effects), though it's missing the original's catchy background music. <br /><br />Just don't go showing this off to Sega. We don't want the company getting any <em>bright</em> ideas ... you know, like: <em>"Sonic Shooters."</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sonic-and-the-black-knight"><span style="font-style: italic;">Sonic and the Black Knight</span></a> was just about all the <em>innovation</em> that we can handle.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/03/mods-unreal-tournament-meets-sonic-the-hedgehog/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mods: Unreal Tournament meets Sonic the Hedgehog</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/03/mods-unreal-tournament-meets-sonic-the-hedgehog/">Mods: Unreal Tournament meets Sonic the Hedgehog</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Apr 2009 19:05:00 EST. <div align="left">Get this: if you grant free access to a top-tier FPS ... a lot of people will play it. Valve learned this after letting Steam users download and play <em>Unreal Tournament III Black </em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/05/steam-unreal-tournament-3-free-to-download-play-this-weekend/">on the house last weekend</a>, to the tune of a more than 2000% increase in simultaneous <em>UT3</em> players. Valve claims that the conversion rate of trial downloads to full purchases has put the game at the top of its most-downloaded titles, so, being entrepreneurial, it's announced <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/news/2334/">another free-to-play weekend</a> for March 13-15.<br /><br />The promotional $11.99 purchase price for the game (it's usually $19.99) has also been extended through March 22. Given the apparent success of this program, it'd be unreal to think Valve won't try it with more titles in the future.</div>

<div align="left">Word of a <em>very real</em> deal regarding <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-3">Unreal Tournament III</a> </em>on PC comes to us by way of <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/03/05/play-unreal-tournament-iii-free-this-weekend-on-steam/">BigDownload</a>. For this weekend -- March 6-9 -- only, those with <a href="http://www.steampowered.com">Steam</a> accounts can <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/app/13210/">download the full game</a> (including the freshly released <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/19/titan-pack-coming-to-unreal-tournament-3-on-march-5th/">Titan Pack</a>) and play it for free. Come Monday morning, you'll get to play <em>another </em>game: deciding if it worth $11.99, the promotional price it's going for until March 15.<br /><br />Those who opt for the "No, nuh-uh" option should check out the free -- yet far less pretty -- <a href="http://www.quakelive.com"><em>Quake Live</em></a>, which just went, er, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/24/easy-headline-alert-quake-live-public-beta-is-live/">live last week</a>. You may even get fragged by a Joystiqer. (Yikes, that sounds <em>dirty</em>.)</div>

We've got some good news and some bad news. We'll start with the negative stuff first. The previously announced PS3 version of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/19/titan-pack-coming-to-unreal-tournament-3-on-march-5th/">Titan Pack</a> for <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-3"><em>Unreal Tournament III</em></a> has been delayed two weeks (the PC version is still out today). According to Epic's <a href="http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?p=26105582#post26105582">Steve Polge</a>, it's been pushed back to March 19 due to a snag in the certification process.<br /><br />It's not a total loss. The good news is that the PS3 version has been patched today to include Trophies and split-screen multiplayer -- both were originally slated to release alongside the Titan Pack. Hopefully, Trophy hunting and split-screen gameplay will keep you preoccupied for the two-week wait.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=209820">CVG</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/05/unreal-tournament-3-titan-pack-delayed-on-ps3/">Unreal Tournament 3 Titan Pack delayed on PS3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 17:50:00 EST. Midway and Epic Games have decided to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ-QSJmEgHU">Titan up the graphics</a> on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-3"><em>Unreal Tournament 3</em></a> with the addition of an extensive new map pack, dubbed the "Titan Pack." The free download, aimed exclusively at the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the first-person fragger, will add 11 new multiplayer maps for several of the game's modes, as well as eight maps culled from the Xbox 360 version and a prior bonus pack.<br /> <br />Our pals at <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/02/19/feature-hands-on-with-unreal-tournament-iiis-upcoming-titan-pa/">Big Download</a> have a hands-on preview of the content, including its two new modes: Greed mode, a "tug-of-war" style points battle; and Betrayal mode, which prompts you to tactfully turn on teammates if you feel like swiping the score for yourself. More intriguing is the new Titan mutator, which turns a skilled player into a towering Behemoth, excitedly described by the press release as "a 15-foot tall maestro of wholesale carnage that has the effects of every Power Up in the game... ALL AT ONCE!!!"<br /><br />Finally, the Titan Pack expands <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em>'s array of deployed equipment, Trophies (Steam Achievements for the PC version) and turrets. ALL AT ONCE!!! Look for it on Thursday, March 5th. <strong><br /><br /></strong>[<strong>Update:</strong> When asked about a 360 version, Midway explained that this update will bring many of the enhancements already included in the Xbox release to the PS3 and PC. "Given the file size requirements for updates on the Xbox 360 platform, we have no plans to release the Titan Pack for Xbox 360."]<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/19/titan-pack-coming-to-unreal-tournament-3-on-march-5th/">'Titan Pack' coming to Unreal Tournament 3 on March 5th</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 19 Feb 2009 07:00:00 EST. While nowhere as successful as <em>Gears of War</em>, Epic Games is working on an expansion to their multiplayer shooter, <em>Unreal Tournament III</em>. "We're working together on a major expansion that we expect will excite and grow our UT3 customer base," Epic Games' VP Mark Reins told <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/news/6199634.html">Gamespot</a>.<br /><br />No other specifics were provided, such as release date or format (DLC? Expansion pack disc?). Considering the game debuted on the PS3, we're going to keep our eyes peeled for any more info.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/20/epic-confirms-ut3-expansion-in-works/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/20/unreal-tournament-iii-to-get-expansion/">Unreal Tournament III to get expansion</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 20 Oct 2008 16:25:00 EST. We can't help but wonder why Epic has decided to patch up <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/UT3"><em>Unreal Tournament 3</em></a> so late in the day, but they've done just that. The patch fixes a long list of problems, including AI issues, stability problems and other tweaks and improvements. It should be live by now -- simply place your <em>UT3</em> disc in the PS3 drive and it will ask you to update. Of course, that's assuming you're still playing the game. Are you? If so, you probably won't be for long, what with <em>WipEout HD</em> (among plenty of other stuff) arriving tomorrow and Blu-ray releases ramping up from here til Christmas. Still, a free patch is a free patch. <br /><br />[Thanks silverwolf761]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/24/unreal-tournament-3-patch-fixes-bugs-in-case-you-care/">Unreal Tournament 3 patch fixes bugs, in case you care</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 24 Sep 2008 17:25:00 EST. Looking to pick up a copy of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Unreal-Tournament-3/">Unreal Tournament III</a></em> for the Xbox 360 but want to save a few dollars in the process? <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Midway-30106-Unreal-Tournament-III/dp/B000O5K3TO/">Amazon</a> is offering the recently released shooter for the low price of $45, shipping included.<br /><br />Offered as today's deal of the day, Unreal Tournament III is the latest action packed title from Epic Games -- you might also know them as the guys behind <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Gears-of-War-2/">Gears of War 2</a>. Speaking of <em>Gears 2</em>, <em>Unreal Tournament III </em>includes an extra incentive as it features footage of the upcoming Xbox 360-exclusive shooter. We say the footage was the new hawtness, but <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/28/gears-2-video-straight-from-the-ut3-disc/">we already featured it</a> a while back.<br /><br />[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/08/unreal-tourney-3-on-the-cheap/">Unreal Tourney 3 on the cheap</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 08 Jul 2008 12:45:00 EST. <div align="left">An editorial over at <a href="http://www.strategyinformer.com/editorials/1475/unreal-tournament-3-six-months-on">Strategy Informer</a> by Marco Fiori attempts to answer a simple but important question: why is no one playing <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-3/">Unreal Tournament 3</a></em>? At <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/26/midway-announces-ut3-ship-date/">one point</a>, we were all excited about this quasi-PS3-timed-exclusive (it was first released on PS3 and PC, with the 360 version to be released nine months later); being part of the legacy that is the Unreal franchise, it will prove the PS3 can handle the hardcore FPS genre.<br /></div>
<p>Epic recently leaked some screenshots to generate buzz for the 360 version, but the truth is, no one cares because no one is playing the versions that are already out. With almost 1000 servers, 12,000 player spaces, the game's player rate is about 500 a day. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/19/ut3-patch-arrives-march-27th-and-will-fix-voip-mods-and-more/">Patches</a> were released to remedy various online problems, coupled with price drops, yet there is no improvement. Fiori lists possible culprits; has<em> Call of Duty 4</em> replaced <em>UT</em> as the new poster child for FPS? Did Epic abandon the <em>UT</em> franchise for the more lucrative <em>Gears of War</em>? Is PC competitive gaming simply on a decline? Was it bad timing similar to what happened to <em>UT2003</em>?<br /><br />Though he doesn't arrive at one specific conclusion, Fiori asserts the failure of <em>UT3</em> comes from the existence of the console versions in his concluding paragraph: "The solution is not the same as it was in the past. PC-centric development meant that patches or even complete rebuilds could be done within a year as in the 2003/2004 situation. The modern multiplatform development cycle makes it virtually impossible." What do you guys think? Is the PS3 and upcoming 360 version to blame for <em>UT3</em>'s inability to repeat the success of its predecessors?</p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/26/unreal-tournament-3-why-is-no-one-playing/">Unreal Tournament 3 -- why is no one playing?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Jun 2008 16:45:00 EST. With fear in their eyes and ice cold blood pumping through their veins, Midway conceded and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/11/unreal-tournament-iii-on-xbox-360-begins-fragging-away-july-7/">confirmed</a> that July 7th is in fact <em>UT3</em>'s North American release date. That Joystiq crew, they get things done, because they don't mess. Maybe we should get those threatening Joystiq bloggers to convince Midway or Epic to include a better <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/10/unreal-tournament-3s-gow2-surprise-is-a-video/"><em>Gears of War 2</em> surprise</a> ... oh yeah, genius.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/12/unreal-tournament-3-gets-a-release-its-july-7th/">Unreal Tournament 3 gets a release, it's July 7th [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 12 Jun 2008 10:30:00 EST. We've just confirmed with Midway that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ut3"><em>Unreal Tournament III</em></a> for Xbox 360 will hit the console on July 7. The Xbox 360 version will feature <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/17/ut3-on-xbox-360-adds-five-exclusive-maps/">five "exclusive" maps</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/21/dont-expect-a-split-screen-patch-for-ut3-on-ps3/">split-screen capabilities</a>, two new characters and the all-new Warfare mode. Of course, the online fragfest will also feature all the benefits of Xbox Live, with none of that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/27/microsoft-lawyer-says-master-chief-in-unreal-is-great/">pesky mod support</a>.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/">Unreal Tournament III (Xbox 360)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758543"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut31_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758544"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut32_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758545"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut33_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758546"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758547"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut35_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/11/unreal-tournament-iii-on-xbox-360-begins-fragging-away-july-7/">Unreal Tournament III on Xbox 360 begins fragging away July 7</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 11 Jun 2008 20:26:00 EST. Actually ... we only have seven. <br /><br />But they <em>are</em> new shots from the upcoming Xbox 360 version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-iii"><em>Unreal Tournament III</em></a>! Not such a big deal, right? No, WRONG! You see, Epic has previously stated that they'll be bundling some sort of exclusive <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/ut3-will-have-gears-2-releated-surprise-on-the-disc/"><em>Gears of War 2</em> surprise content</a> with <em>UT3 </em>and this newly discovered box art tells us exactly what the exclusive content is. Look closely and you'll spot the <em>GoW2 </em>circle on the right mentioning the inclusion of exclusive "video content on disc". That's right, no exclusive <em>Gears 2</em> demo, player skins or in-game <em>Gears 2</em> goodness ... just video content. We guess we can live with that, but for anyone who specifically plopped down an <em>UT3 </em>pre-order solely for the exclusive <em>Gears </em>goods, we recommend you think about spending $60 on video.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293158&amp;page=65">NeoGAF</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/10/unreal-tournament-3s-gow2-surprise-is-a-video/">Unreal Tournament 3's GoW2 surprise is a video</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Jun 2008 16:30:00 EST. <p><em>Unreal Tournament III</em> on PS3 is made even better thanks to an active mod community. UT2D-SuperMario_Beta1 revives the classic NES game, <em>Super Mario Bros.</em> through its use of nostalgic 2D decorations. This mod already works on the PS3, but according to the devs, "decent stock sounds" are upcoming for the game. Check it out <a href="http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=610635">here</a>.</p>

The achievement hoarding gamers over at 360Sync have uncovered the <a href="http://www.360sync.com/2008/06/05/unreal-tournament-3-achievements">entire list of achievements</a> for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/unreal-tournament-3"><em>Unreal Tournament III</em></a>. We'd like to think that this signifies an imminent release for the game but, given its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/10/epic-knows-utiii-release-date-no-they-wont-tell/">development history</a>, we're not holding our breath. Anyway, on the achievements. There are plenty listed for completing campaign objectives and there are plenty more multiplayer objectives. There are even a few co-op achievements. There are 50 in all. Of course, the best achievement of all has to be "Don't taze me bro!" which is awarded for nabbing the Combo King award in ten matches.<br /><br />Hit the "Source" link for the full list.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/05/unreal-tournament-iii-achievements-revealed/">Unreal Tournament III achievements revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 05 Jun 2008 14:00:00 EST. The blocky platforms will look familar to players of the original <span style="font-style: italic;">Super Mario Bros</span>., as well as many of the background elements. It's not an exact replica (nor is it meant to be), but the similarities are impossible to deny. Also, the PC version of the map includes music and sounds from the beloved classic.<br /></div>

To compensate, he says they "should be happy" that they have user-generated mod support.<br /><br />Rein explains it would be a "big job" to go back and retrofit the PS3 version and doesn't believe Epic has the resources to devote to such a project. A very useful feature to have when entertaining a buddy or relative who too would like to join in on the carnage. So, today we thought it to be the opportune time to show you a <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/33033.html">video of split screen</a> <em>UT3 </em>in action. And that's exactly what we embedded above. Everything looks lovely, fast paced and it even sports a solid frame rate to boot, but from what we can tell, a bit more of the players' character gets chopped off to accommodate for the FOV. No matter, it's still a sexy <em>UT3 </em>frag fest.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/20/video-unreal-tournament-3-does-split-screen/">Video: Unreal Tournament 3 does split screen</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 20 Apr 2008 10:00:00 EST. Mark Rein dropping more details of <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em>? First was the <em>Gears 2</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/ut3-will-have-gears-2-releated-surprise-on-the-disc/">content tease</a>, now the assumption that the 360 version wouldn't see mods whatsoever seems to be a thing of the past. In the <a href="http://www.oxm.co.uk/article.php?id=3893">same interview</a> with OXM UK, Mark Rein said <span class="text_article_body"> "We know some of these great mods are going to play a role on Xbox 360, even if we have to get some people and bring them over ourselves." "We'll figure it out."<br /><br />Now while this is good news in that <em>any form</em> of mod on 360 now is good news, but it's nothing to get too excited about just yet. See, Mark Rein notes that the game will probably not ship with any sort of ability to exchange user created mods, but that Epic would have a solution at some point in the game's future. From the sound of things, and taking into account Microsoft's digital distribution system, <em>UT3</em> 360 will probably have some free (we would hope) DLC at some point in it's life that adds the best of the community-created content.<br /></span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/19/ut3-360-will-have-mods-in-some-form/">UT3 360 will have mods in some form</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 19 Apr 2008 14:15:00 EST. The tardy <a href="http://xbox.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/ut3-xbox-360-exclusive-content-confirmed/">Xbox 360 version</a> of <em>Unreal Tournament III</em> comes with a few features missing from the PS3 original. The most notable new feature is split-screen multiplayer. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this will come as a downloadable patch any time soon. Epic's Mark Rein told <a href="http://www.videogamer.com/news/19-04-2008-8079.html">videogamer.com</a> "I don't think so, because this is what's in this (the Xbox 360 version) game. I think it would be a big job to go back and retrofit that game for split-screen. I just don't think we have the resources to do that unfortunately."<br /><br />"We heard from the PS3 guys they really wanted split-screen. Maybe if we'd spent eight more months on the game like we have here," he added. Of course, the PS3 version of <em>UT3</em> will still sport a key feature the Xbox 360 version will never see: unrestricted access to fan-created mods.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/19/split-screen-unlikely-to-come-to-ps3-unreal-tournament/">Split-screen unlikely to come to PS3 Unreal Tournament</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 19 Apr 2008 09:30:00 EST. Without confirmed mod support, and with so many other shooters to choose from, could <em>UT3</em> hang with only 5 extra maps? While that question still remains to be answered, the nature of it has shifted a little. In an <a href="http://www.oxm.co.uk/article.php?id=3869">interview with OXM UK</a>, Mark Rein revealed that <span class="text_article_body">"you know, there <em>might</em> be a little <em>Gears Of War 2</em> related surprise on the disc of Unreal Tournament 3. That's all I'm saying about that." <br /><br />With news like this it almost makes the <em>UT3</em> sales guaranteed to jump, even if we don't yet know what the "surprise" will be. Really, it could be anything. A trailer, theme, or stupid picture pack seems likeliest, but if Epic REALLY<em> </em>wants to spike the sales of <em>UT3</em> we might see something more along the lines of of a playable demo. Hell, why not just take the <em>Crackdown</em> route! Hey everyone listen up! Buy your <em>Gears 2</em> beta and receive a free copy of <em>UT3</em>! <br /><br />We wouldn't put it past them.<br /></span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/ut3-will-have-gears-2-releated-surprise-on-the-disc/">UT3 will have "Gears 2 related surprise on the disc"</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 18 Apr 2008 21:00:00 EST. We still don't have an exact release date for <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em> for Xbox 360, but we're getting closer. The news out of Midway's Gamers Day is that we can expect the title to appear this "summer." We found out yesterday that the Xbox 360 version will feature <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/17/ut3-on-xbox-360-adds-five-exclusive-maps/">five "exclusive" maps</a>, split screen capabilities and two new characters. Today we can add that there will also be an all-new Warfare mode, though we're still trying to find out what that exactly means. Check out the gallery below for some new images.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/">Unreal Tournament III (Xbox 360)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758543"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut31_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758544"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut32_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758545"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut33_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758546"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/unreal-tournament-iii-xbox-360-1/#758547"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/ut35_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/ut3-gets-fragtastic-on-xbox-360-in-summer/">UT3 gets fragtastic on Xbox 360 this 'summer'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 18 Apr 2008 19:03:00 EST. And our bonus content dreams have been confirmed.<br /><br />Epic Games just <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/867/867258p1.html">revealed</a> that the Xbox 360 edition of <em>UT3 </em>will feature all the previously released PS3 and PC content as well as five additional maps not available on any other edition, two new characters (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/24/master-chief-locust-and-marcus-meet-ut3/">Master Chief?</a>) and the addition of local split screen. There's still no release date for <em>Unreal Tournament 3</em> on Xbox 360, but there are some details now on what makes the 360's iteration different from PC and PS3. <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/867/867258p1.html">IGN</a> reports that the Xbox 360 version of <em>UT3</em> will have five new "exclusive" maps, two new characters and includes two-player splitscreen. It will also contain the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/27/unreal-tournament-3-receives-new-free-maps-today/">free maps</a> available as DLC for the PS3 and PC versions of the game.<br /><br />Jeff Morris, senior producer at Epic, tells the site he believes <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ut3"><em>UT3</em></a> will be a reprieve for those with "tactical shooter fatigue." He stands by the game being an "unabashedly twitch" title. We're expecting more details (maybe even a release date) on the Xbox 360 version of <em>UT3</em> sometime tomorrow.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/17/ut3-on-xbox-360-adds-five-exclusive-maps/">UT3 on Xbox 360 adds five 'exclusive' maps</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Apr 2008 15:30:00 EST. For one reason or another, Epic's PS3-early <em>Unreal Tournament III</em> never found the success of its previous titles, like <em>Gears of War</em>. Midway is giving the multiplayer FPS another chance at retail, with a rather significant price drop. Originally $60, the game is now a mere $40 new at game retailers, such as <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V1OUVI/102-5946304-2779329?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=prey0f&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=B000V1OUVI">amazon.com</a> and <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=61494">GameStop</a>.<br /><br />With a recently released <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/27/american-psn-update-for-march-27th/">free map pack</a> and a growing collection of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/04/samus-enters-the-unreal-tournament-iii-fray/">user-generated mods</a>, there's never been a better time to jump into the <em>UT</em> community. Hopefully, this price drop will give the game the attention it never received at launch.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=371423">GT Forums</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/17/unreal-tournament-iii-gets-price-drop/">Unreal Tournament III gets price drop: to be $40 everywhere</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Apr 2008 12:30:00 EST. The real story is nicer even than that apparently, <a href="http://www.videogaming247.com/2008/04/10/we-do-have-a-release-date-for-ut3-360-says-rein/">as Rein says</a> that the internal team knows the date, but that they just haven't released it yet. When asked if they have a release date, Rein replied "We do, but I don't think we put it out yet," then said "It's kind of a when it's done thing. We have an idea of when it's coming." There wasn't any kind of a reason put forward, and then Rein teased a bit claiming that the media would see the game running at a press event in Las Vegas soon. We don't really see why the final release date couldn't just be nailed down, as Rein "was playing it yesterday here in my office." The only downside we could see is the eventual announcement (thanks to MS's draconian ideas about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/01/n-interview-ms-hates-user-generated-content/">player generated content</a>) that the 360 version won't have <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/27/ms-legal-is-okay-with-ut3-master-chief-mod/">any mod support</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/10/epic-knows-utiii-release-date-no-they-wont-tell/">Epic knows UTIII release date. If you think about all the fun you'll have when it comes to mods, then you're pretty set when it comes to convincing yourself. It's definitely a good game to add to your PS3 library, so we're just tipping you off on what might be the eight bucks off you needed.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/07/deal-of-the-day-unreal-tournament-3-for-51/">Deal of the Day: Unreal Tournament 3 for $51</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 07 Apr 2008 18:00:00 EST.
