Just a few days after it <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/15/tales-of-monkey-island-episode-1-drops-anchor-on-ipad/">launched</a> the first episode of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tales-of-monkey-island">Tales of Monkey Island</a></em> for iPad, Telltale Games has gone and slashed -- with a cutlass, presumably -- the prices on three (well, four if you're being really nitpicky) of its other iOS titles. Specifically, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/puzzle-agent">Puzzle Agent</a></em> (both the iPhone and iPad versions) is now going for 99 cents, as are <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/sam-and-max-the-devils-playhouse-episode-1-the-penal-zone">Sam &amp; Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone</a></em> and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures">Wallace &amp; Gromit: The Last Resort</a> </em>for iPad.<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://gricklethings.blogspot.com/">Grickle</a>-inspired <em>Puzzle Agent</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/30/review-puzzle-agent/">might not be everyone's bag</a> but, for a buck, you might as well invite its gum-chewing protagonist, Nelson Tethers, along with Sam &amp; Max &amp; Wallace &amp; Gromit to your (i)Pad.<br type="_moz" /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/23/telltale-puts-three-of-its-ios-tales-on-sale-for-a-buck/">Telltale puts three of its iOS tales on sale for a buck</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 23 Dec 2010 00:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/wallace--gromits-grand-adventures">Wallace and Gromit</a> -- inventor extraordinaire and dog, respectively -- are making their way to the iPad. Telltale has announced that <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit: The Last Resort</em> is now available for Apple's wonder slate. While certainly good news for Telltale fans, said fans may have noticed something a little odd, as <em>The Last Resort</em> is actually the <em>second</em> episode of the first season of <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em>. Telltale makes no mention of other episodes in the future -- iPad users are still waiting on the rest of <em>Sam &amp; Max: The Devil's Playhouse</em>, incidentally -- but if you've been waiting to play <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em> on a more <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/03/apple-sells-1-million-ipads-in-first-28-days-the-magical-revolu/"><em>magical</em></a> platform, <em>The Last Resort</em> can be <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wallace-gromit-the-last-resort/id374089452?mt=8">snagged from iTunes</a> for $4.99.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/07/wallace-and-gromit-get-cracking-on-ipad/">Wallace &amp; Gromit get cracking on iPad</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 07 Jul 2010 16:00:00 EST. No joke -- several <em>solid</em> Xbox Live Arcade titles have been temporarily <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2010/04/01/xbox-live-arcade-inventory-blowout-sale.aspx">discounted</a>, most by 50 percent, today through April 7. A few of the notable victims of this price slaughter include:<br />
<ul>
    <li><em>Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix</em> ($7) -- 53% off</li>
    <li><em>Lumines LIVE</em> ($5) -- 50% off</li>
    <li><em>South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!</em> ($5) -- 50% off</li>
</ul>

With Guybrush Threepwood fans <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/11/telltale-games-headed-to-mac-tales-of-monkey-island-out-now/">taken care of</a>, Telltale's adventure game-lovin' enthusiasts have voted <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max">Sam &amp; Max</a></em> as the next title to get Mac-ified. The <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-580">Telltale blog</a> confirmed the choice yesterday, saying that the other two titles up for porting (<em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit">Wallace &amp; Gromit</a></em> and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad">Strong Bad</a></em>) will be playable on OS X "within the course of this year." Alongside the announcement (which didn't include a release date), the site posted a handful of "propaganda" created by voters to sway others to their side. We've posted one of our faves above, but we suggest checking out the whole lot.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/02/sam-and-max-voted-as-next-telltale-series-for-macs/">Sam &amp; Max voted as next Telltale series for Macs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Mar 2010 14:20:00 EST. Hey, remember that "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/28/report-telltale-porting-its-games-to-mac-hints-at-ipad/">totally unconfirmed" report</a> that stated Telltale would be bringing its whole catalog to the Mac and, furthermore, would be showing off Mac versions of its games at Macworld? You can slide that over to "totally confirmed" now, as Telltale has officially announced that it is indeed <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-572">bringing its titles to Mac OS</a>. The first game to hit the platform will be <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em>, which is actually available for the Mac right now. Telltale is currently asking fans to <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/macgames">decide which game it releases next</a>: <em>Strong Bad</em>, <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> or <em>Wallace and Gromit</em>.<br />
<br />
Perhaps the best part about it all: Telltale also announced that the Mac versions of its games will be free to anyone who already purchased the PC version. Presumably, that also means that those who buy the Mac version will have access to PC versions. Either way, it means a whole new audience for Telltale's games.<br />
<br />
The company will be at Macworld this week, showcasing <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em>. Speaking of which, curious Mac gamers out there can grab the <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland">demo for <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em></a> at the Telltale website (and we suggest you do).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/11/telltale-games-headed-to-mac-tales-of-monkey-island-out-now/">Telltale games headed to Mac, Tales of Monkey Island out now</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Feb 2010 16:10:00 EST. According to <a href="http://www.maclife.com/article/news/telltale_officially_launching_monkey_island_and_more_mac_ipad_could_be_next">Mac|Life</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Telltale/">Telltale</a> will begin supporting the Mac platform starting on Febrary 8 with <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tales-of-monkey-island">Tales of Monkey Island</a> -- and, a</em>s what can only be described as a <em>great </em>idea, gamers will be able to download both the Mac and PC versions of Telltale's games for one price. In other words, you won't have to worry about which version you buy, because you'll be getting both. <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em> is to be the first title to receive Mac support, with <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em></a> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>Strong Bad</em></a> to follow (supposedly in that order, by the way). Both seasons of <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> should arrive within "several weeks" of <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em>, with the others arriving in the following months, the site writes.<br />
<br />
The report also mentions that Telltale plans to convert its entire catalog -- with the exception of <em>Bone</em> and <em>Texas Hold 'Em</em> -- according to Mac|Life. Its Telltale source declined to confirm if ports are on their way to the iPhone or iPad as well, though he did reiterate Telltale's desire to expand to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/20/telltale-hoping-to-push-content-to-new-consoles-handhelds-and-mac/">as many platforms as possible</a>.<br />
<br />
When reached for comment by Joystiq, a Telltale representative called the report "totally unconfirmed," adding that potential iPhone or iPad support is "total speculation" at this point. According to the Mac|Life report, Telltale will be showing off its Mac titles at the Macworld Expo on February 11, so you can bet we'll be stopping by to find out.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/28/report-telltale-porting-its-games-to-mac-hints-at-ipad/">Report: Telltale porting its games to Mac, hints at iPad</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Jan 2010 18:40:00 EST. To celebrate last month's release of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-legend-of-zelda-spirit-tracks">The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks</a> </em>in Europe, Nintendo tapped the studio to create a trio of custom animations paying homage to the game in Nintendo's free animation app for the DSi, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/flipnote-studio"><em>Flipnote Studio</em></a>. Now we get to see their labor bear fruit and, oh my, these came out looking sharp, as the video above this text can attest. <br />
<br />
However, the real feather in this (Minish?) cap is the odd video past the break showing Link's game-long companion, Zelda. For us, the uneasy feeling we get witnessing Link's lack of concern seeing Zelda in poltergeist form is only exceeded by Zelda's apparent glee, despite being a creepy specter. That just weirds us out!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/22/wallace-and-gromit-creators-use-flipnote-studio-to-create-spirit-t/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit creators use Flipnote Studio to create Spirit Tracks animations</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/22/wallace-and-gromit-creators-use-flipnote-studio-to-create-spirit-t/">Wallace &amp; Gromit creators use Flipnote Studio to create Spirit Tracks animations</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Jan 2010 17:45:00 EST. We're not ones to cast aspersions about your horrible proclivity for procrastination -- heck, we haven't filed income taxes since, like, 2002 -- but if you chose to wait before cashing in on last week's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures</em></a> sale, it nearly cost you very dearly. We say <em>almost</em> because Telltale <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/store/wallaceandgromitsgrandadventures">decided to extend the offer</a> past its initial Monday deadline, letting adventure game junkies continue to pick up the entire four-episode season of <em>Wallace and Gromit</em> for just $20. The developer hasn't given the sale a new expiration date, so please ... procrastinate <em>responsibly</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/11/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures-20-sale-extended/">Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures $20 sale extended</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 11 Nov 2009 23:00:00 EST. If you've been waiting to ride the wave of resurgence the adventure genre has been enjoying, now's the time to wax that board, kick off your flip-flops and hit the water: <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-528">Telltale</a> has put full seasons of its adventure games on sale. For the low price of one Andrew Jackson (otherwise known as $20), you can snag a full season of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em></a> or <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/review-strong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people/"><em>Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People</em></a>. <br />
<br />
Act quickly, though -- the sale ends at 12PM PDT this Monday, November 9.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/06/telltale-offering-full-seasons-of-sam-and-max-wallace-and-gromit-s/">Telltale offering full seasons of Sam &amp; Max, Wallace &amp; Gromit, Strong Bad for $20</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 Nov 2009 02:00:00 EST. The reason for that is because the trial version of the final three <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em> episodes is <em>exactly</em> the same as the trial version for the first episode. Suffice it to say that you won't see anything new if you've already tried the first episode. For the rest of you, watch the latest XBLA in Brief and see if the charm of <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em> appeals to you.<br />

The company is also marking the auspicious occasion by discounting the full season of the PC version to $20 (from $35), releasing the whole set on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/02/this-wednesday-wallace-and-gromit-episodes-2-3-and-4-on-xbla/">Xbox Live Arcade</a>, taking orders for a Collector's DVD, and participating in a charity drive with <span class="il">the Wallace</span> &amp; Gromit Children's Foundation and Penny Arcade (to which your full-season purchase will contribute). Here's hoping you <em>really </em>like <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em></a> and, more specifically, Telltale's episodic <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em> games, because that's <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/11/02/this-week-on-arcade-3-episodes-of-wallace-amp-gromit.aspx">all you're getting</a> on <a href="http://xbla">Xbox Live Arcade</a> this week. As promised, the final three episodes, <em>The Last Resort</em>, <em>Muzzled!</em> and <em>The Bogey Man</em> will all be dropping on XBLA this Wednesday, each priced at 800<img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> ($10). That brings the total for all four games to $40, which isn't too bad, although PC owners should be aware that Telltale is offering the entire season -- which includes a collector's DVD -- for $34.95 as well.<br />

Still, if you've got a yen for some couch-bound, Achievement-filled <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em>, it's a pretty good deal.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/02/this-wednesday-wallace-and-gromit-episodes-2-3-and-4-on-xbla/">This Wednesday: Wallace &amp; Gromit episodes 2, 3 and 4 on XBLA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 02 Nov 2009 16:00:00 EST. The remainder of Telltale's <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</em> episodes will make it onto Xbox Live Arcade all in one go on November 4 which, coincidentally, is the 20th anniversary of the dynamic duo's first animated short, <em>A Grand Day Out</em>. The already-released <em>Fright of the Bumblebees</em>, will now be joined by <em>The Last Resort</em> (which was a <a href="http://xbox.joystiq.com/2009/09/09/wallace-and-gromit-no-show-on-xblm/">no-show</a> in September), <em>Muzzled!</em> and <em>The Bogey Man</em>, each going for 800<span class="album_title"><img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> ($10). The mathletes out there have already figured this out, but that puts the entire season at $40 - a deal if it were a retail package. <br />
<br />
Also on November 4, Telltale Games' website will begin taking orders for the "full season DVD" on PC, which includes all four episodes, image galleries, a "making of" video and more. With three titles dropping on one day, I'm not sure we'd call this "episodic" in the <em>traditional</em> sense.</span><br />

In an interview with <a href="http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=1211">Shacknews</a>, Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors said long wait times between episodic content releases on XBLA are "over." When asked why the XBLA follow-up to the first <em><a href="http://xbox.joystiq.com/2009/09/09/wallace-and-gromit-no-show-on-xblm/">Wallace &amp; Gromit</a></em> episode has taken over five months, Connors said Microsoft's second-annual <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Summer-of-Arcade/">Summer of Arcade</a> promotion had kept the second episode off the virtual store shelves, allowing Telltale to develop new episodes of the series to keep release dates between episodes close. "I think our goal, going forward, is to launch on as many platforms as we can simultaneously," Connors said.<br />
<br />
With two episodic franchises under its belt on Microsoft's downloadable service, Connors said he "would love" to see <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tales-of-monkey-island">Tales of Monkey Island</a></em> -- its best selling episodic franchise based on the classic adventure series -- on Microsoft's downloadable platform. "I know they had great success with <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-secret-of-monkey-island/">Monkey Island: Special Edition</a></em>. We think there's definitely an audience there and we definitely want to get the game to them." Thankfully we're able to hold our breath just as long as Guybrush Threepwood, so the wait for a possible release shouldn't be <em>too</em> painful.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/26/telltale-discusses-xbla-wait-times-possibility-of-xbla-monkey-i/">Telltale discusses XBLA wait times, possibility of XBLA Monkey Island</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 26 Oct 2009 16:40:00 EST. With more avenues now open between consumers and game creators than ever before, third-party companies like Telltale Games can sell their wares on every platform -- as long as their <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/03/telltale-engine-doesnt-support-playstation-yet/">software runs on it</a>. That's the tricky part, but Telltale CEO and co-founder Dan Connors has told <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/telltale-games-dan-connors-interview?page=1">Gamesindustry.biz</a> that his team is already looking to take advantage of the "huge potential" out there.<br /><br />"I definitely think there's huge potential there, and right now we're working on getting our content over to some more channels, over to new consoles and the Mac," Connors said. With any luck, PlayStation 3 will be caught in Telltale's wider net -- it's the only current home console that has yet to be visited by a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max">talking dog</a>, a hyper-kinetic rabbity thing ... or even a dog that doesn't talk but is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit">still weirdly expressive</a>.<br /><br />Telltale's ambitions go further still, added Connors. "And after that's done, we're going to be looking at handhelds. I think we have to consider the PSP Go for sure."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/20/telltale-hoping-to-push-content-to-new-consoles-handhelds-and-mac/">Telltale hoping to push content to new consoles, handhelds &amp; Macs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 20 Oct 2009 20:30:00 EST. With <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/major-nelson">Major Nelson</a> taking this day of labor off, we look across the pond for word on this week's Xbox Live Arcade title. As <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/30/sonic-and-knuckles-speeding-into-xbla-september-9/">previously noted</a>, it appears <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sonic-and-knuckles">Sonic and Knuckles</a></em> will be this week's release at 400<span class="album_title"><img border="0" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /> ($5)</span>. You've likely got <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/adventure">no shortage of clever adventure games</a> to work your way through at the moment, so we almost feel bad throwing another one atop your to-play pile -- the fourth and final chapter of Telltale's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures</em></a> will arrive on PCs tomorrow. Titled <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-480"><em>The Bogey Man</em></a>, the episode places the titular duo in the Prickly Thicket country club, where the pair encounter "an ancient dispute threatening to tear the town apart." Hey, that sounds less hazardous than having to deal with <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108598/"><em>robot pants</em></a>.<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/store/wallaceandgromitsgrandadventures">episode will cost $8.99</a>, or can be picked up in the <em>Grand Adventures</em> bundle for $34.99<em>.</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/28/telltales-final-wallace-and-gromit-episode-arriving-on-pcs-wedn/">Telltale's final Wallace and Gromit episode arriving on PC Wednesday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 28 Jul 2009 22:30:00 EST. First up is <em>Yosumin Live</em>, the Japanese mobile phone game turned XBLA puzzler. Next is <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit in Fright of the Bumblebees</em> from TellTale Games, creators of <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> and the <em>Strong Bad</em> series. Watch the latest episode of XBLA in Brief and see if either is up your alley.<br /><br />Oh, and <em>Boggle</em> was released this week for <em>Hasbro Family Game Night</em> as well. We didn't include it in the video, because we're guessing it's an awful lot like <em>Boggle</em>.<br /><br /><strong><a target="_blank" href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025841098b/?of=1">Download the trial version of <em>Yosumin Live</em></a></strong><br /> <a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025841093c/?of=1"><strong>Download the trial version of <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit episode 1</em></strong></a><br /><a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/00002001-0000-4000-8000-000058410981?cid=SLink"><strong>Download the trial version of <em>Boggle</em></strong></a><br /> <br /><br />[<a href="itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/x3ftv">iTunes</a>] Subscribe to X3F TV directly in iTunes.<br />[<a href="zune://subscribe/?Xbox%20360%20Fanboy=http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds.feedburner.com%2Fx3ftv">Zune</a>] Subscribe to the X3F TV directly.<br />[<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/x3ftv">RSS</a>] Add the X3F TV feed to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.<br />[<a href="http://podcasts.aolcdn.com/joystiq/podcasts/xblabrief-wallace.m4v">M4V</a>] Download the M4V directly.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/27/x3f-tv-xbla-in-brief-yosumin-live-wallace-and-gromit-episode/">X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Yosumin Live, Wallace &amp; Gromit episode 1</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 May 2009 15:00:00 EST. <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/05/22/coming-to-arcade-next-week.aspx">Major Nelson</a> was authorized to break with tradition (due to the Memorial Day weekend) and has revealed next week's XBLA titles early. The arcade will finally be graced by <a href="joystiq.com/tag/Telltale">Telltale</a>'s adventure title <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em>, along with <em>Yosumin Live</em> and <em>Boggle</em> for <em>Hasbro Family Game Night</em>. All the titles mentioned will be 800<img border="0" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /> ($10) apiece.<br /><br />If paying $10 for <em>Boggle</em> next week seems a bit high, you can always search flea markets over the holiday weekend and find it for a couple bucks. There always seems to be a copy of <em>Boggle</em> at those things.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/22/next-wednesday-wallace-and-gromit-yosumin-live-and-boggle/">Next Wednesday: Wallace &amp; Gromit, Yosumin Live and Boggle</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 May 2009 13:45:00 EST. Xbox 360 Achievements for <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em>'s adventure (already <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/05/second-wallace-and-gromit-episode-the-last-resort-available-n/">ongoing</a> on PC) have surfaced and <a href="http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/wallace-and-gromit-episode-1/achievements/">X360A.org</a> have scooped them up. Like any other XBLA title, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Fright of the Bumblebees</a> </em>includes a possible 200 Gamerscore points to help players pad their personal Xbox profile "baseball card" statistics.<br /> <br /> Fans of the famous British-born, stop-motion clay animation series will notice the careful attention <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Telltale">Telltale Games</a> put into the achievements -- primarily the the multiple achievements referencing Wallace's love for cheese. Here's hoping the XBLA translation for the adventure game turns out as <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gouda_%28cheese%29">Gouda</a></em> as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/30/joystiq-review-wallace-and-gromits-fright-of-the-bumble-bees/">PC version</a>. <a href="http://www.instantrimshot.com/">Amirite</a>?<br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/21/achievements-spotted-for-wallace-and-gromits-first-xbla-bound-epi/">Achievements spotted for Wallace &amp; Gromit's first XBLA-bound episode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 21 May 2009 14:30:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Telltale/">Telltale</a> continues to nail episodic gaming where others fail, releasing the second episode of its third series, and <em>on time</em> no less. <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/"><em>Wallace and Gromit in The Last Resort</em></a> is available now for those of you who purchased the complete $34.99 series.<br /><br />Because we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/30/joystiq-review-wallace-and-gromits-fright-of-the-bumble-bees/">reviewed the last one</a>, we likely won't take up your time with a second critique. I'd imagine that most people go into <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><span style="font-style: italic;">Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures: Fright of the Bumble Bees</span></a> knowing what they're going to get. If you're the sort that's going to buy into Telltale's newest episodic project then you're probably at least aware of the basic mouse-driven adventure mechanics of <em>Sam and Max </em>or <em>Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People</em>.<br /><br />If you're expecting something substantially different here, you're not going to find it. This is a game about exploring a charming world, about learning its internal logic and learning to use it. It may not be revolutionary, but it sure is delightful.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/30/joystiq-review-wallace-and-gromits-fright-of-the-bumble-bees/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq Review: Wallace and Gromit's Fright of the Bumble Bees</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/30/joystiq-review-wallace-and-gromits-fright-of-the-bumble-bees/">Joystiq Review: Wallace and Gromit's Fright of the Bumble Bees</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 30 Mar 2009 18:00:00 EST. <div align="left">Our average-sized friends at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/big-download">BigDownload</a> have gotten their mitts on something better than Wensleydale and crackers: the PC demo for Telltale Game's forthcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</em></a>. Specifically, it's a short taste of the first of four planned monthly episodes, <em>Fright of the Bumblebees</em>, which hits March 24. We had a chance to check out the episode at Wonder-Con earlier this month and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/02/joystiq-impressions-wallace-and-grommits-grand-adventures/">found it to be charming beyond belief</a>.<br /><br />The demo weighs in at a modest 138MB and can be yours for the price of <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/03/17/download-wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures-demo/">a trip to BigDownload</a>, which, as it so happens, is absolutely free.</div>

Telltale Games has stepped forth and dropped the knowledge. Said knowledge is a <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=117779#post117779">March 24 release date</a> for the PC version of its upcoming episodic series <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em>'s Grand Adventures</a>. If that sounds like too long to wait, know that a demo of the game will arrive on March 16 exclusively on Yahoo! Games. As if that weren't enough, Telltale has revealed that those who <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/store/wallaceandgromitsgrandadventures">pre-order the title</a> will receive a full episode of both <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>Strong Bad's CG4AP</em></a>. The episodes, if you're curious, are "Ice Station Santa" from <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> and "Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective" for <em>Strong Bad</em>. On top of all <em>that</em>, there's even a new trailer of the game in action.<br /><br />Watch the digital claymation goodness after the break.<br /><br />[Thanks, StLouisRibs7734]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/13/wallace-and-gromit-dated-march-24-demo-on-march-16/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wallace and Gromit dated March 24, demo on March 16</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/13/wallace-and-gromit-dated-march-24-demo-on-march-16/">Wallace and Gromit dated March 24, demo on March 16</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Mar 2009 17:15:00 EST. <div align="left">We were treated -- that's the appropriate word -- to a brief sneak peek at Telltale Games' upcoming episodic adventure series, <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/wallaceandgromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</em></a>, this past weekend at San Francisco's Wonder-Con. Although early, the taste of things to come was promising enough to get us as excited as Wallace on a trip to the cheese shop.<br />
<br />
This demo alone convinced us that Telltale has a firm grasp on the unique humor of the classic Aardman Animation shorts -- and also their charming visual style. It's one thing to create controllable <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max">dogs and rabbits</a> or citizens of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad">Strongbadia</a>, but something entirely different to capture the essence of real plasticine figures ... in motion, no less.</div>

Following last week's announcement that purveryors of fine adventure gaming, Telltale Games, would be making its long-awaited Xbox Live Arcade debut with the upcoming <em><a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/wallaceandgromit">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></em>, we spoke with Telltale's CEO and founder, Dan Connors to learn more about the move. We talk about the company's platform strategy (iPhone?), its success with the capacity-challenged WiiWare service, and plans to bring older Telltale games to newly supported platforms like XBLA. So grab some cheese and/or your favorite sociopathic lagomorph and strap in for an interview more outrageously exciting than a T-Rex flying a biplane through a no-fly zone!<br /><br /><strong>Joystiq: Xbox Live Arcade - why now? You guys have been around for a while and you've obviously done GameTap, you've done PC, you've done Wii and WiiWare. So why XBLA and why now?</strong><br /><br />Dan Connors: Well, I think it's just kind of happened in the natural growth of the company. We started in 2004 and we were eight people in an office and we've progressively grown. Each time - when we first launched on the PC, it was a challenge; and when we first launched on WiiWare, it was a huge challenge; and now getting everything to the place where we're self-publishing on WiiWare and now Xbox Live Arcade, it's just a great accomplishment for the company and opening up more channels.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/10/joystiq-interview-telltales-dan-connors-on-xbla-wallace-and-gro/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq interview: Telltale's Dan Connors on XBLA, Wallace &amp; Gromit</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/10/joystiq-interview-telltales-dan-connors-on-xbla-wallace-and-gro/">Joystiq interview: Telltale's Dan Connors on XBLA, Wallace &amp; Gromit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Feb 2009 13:30:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/pax-2008-tell-tale-talks-wii-ip-licensing-and-the-future/">Telltale</a> has just ended the speculation about the choice of platforms for its next episodic adventure game series, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/23/captionable-wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</em></a>. The first entry will be released this spring on PC and Xbox Live Arcade. <br /> <br />According to Telltale's press release, <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit'</em>s Xbox availability is the first step in an "expansion" to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA/">XBLA</a>, and the company "plans to announce additional titles for Xbox Live Arcade in the coming months." <br /><br />Along with the announcement, Telltale sent out new screens of the game, which look <em>perfect</em>. With the help of our super-intelligent dog, we've built a ridiculous Rube Goldberg contraption to move them into a gallery for you. Now let's celebrate -- <em>with cheese!</em><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/04/say-cheese-telltales-episodic-wallace-and-gromit-coming-to-pc/">Say cheese! <strong>[Update: </strong>A winner is <em>you</em>, Steveorsz. A winner is you. Thanks for all the entries everyone.]<br /><br />The most challenging part of being a blogger isn't the frequent trips to the sweatpants store or having to keep a Cheetoh dust rag on hand at all times. No, the biggest hurdle is firing up Comic Life and adding those hilarious speech bubbles to game images. <br /><br />We're finally taking a stand against the hardest part of our jobs and asking that you, the Joystiq Biomass, help us out. We're quite happy Eurogamer suggested that Telltale's latest episodic adventure game, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/24/wallace-and-gromit-go-episodic-with-telltale/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a>,</em> could be headed to Wii, because we wouldn't have been able to post about it otherwise, and we're totally excited about it! They seem <em>very</em> confident, even putting a Wii icon in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/incaseitchangeswallace.jpg">image</a> on the front page that links to the article.<br /><br />Eurogamer's logic is <em>fairly</em> sound: the game is to be released on PC and <em>some</em> console, so why <em>not</em> the one that Telltale put their last two games, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad/">Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People</a> </em>and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/04/new-trailer-and-screens-for-sam-and-max-season-2/"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, on? Especially since <em>Strong Bad</em> has done so well as a WiiWare game.<br /><br />The new game sounds brilliant, combining Telltale's signature humorous puzzle-solving with elements of the classic Aardman series like Wallace's baroque inventions, and bringing more personality and interactivity to NPCs. We suggest you read Eurogamer's preview and set yourself up for potential future disappointment should this end up on N-Gage or something.<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/22/we-hope-this-wallace-and-gromit-preview-becomes-relevant/">We hope this Wallace &amp; Gromit preview becomes relevant</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 22 Dec 2008 19:15:00 EST. <div align="left">TellTale, purveyors of all things pointy and clicky, were kind enough to have a natter with us on the PAX show floor. Designer, Mark Darin, and PR Manager, Emily Morgant, chat to us regarding developing for the Wii, how deals for the <em>Sam and Max, Homestar Runner </em>and <em>Wallace and Gromit</em> franchises came about and plans for the future. Hint: we won't be finding out about any more TellTale products for a little while. </div>
</div>
<br /><strong>Are there any plans to bring any of TellTale's properties on to XBLA or PSN?</strong><br /><br />Mark: Start with the hard questions! I don't really have too many answers to that. I know that we're looking to get on as many platforms as we can. We're talking to people about opportunities but no solid plans right now. <br /><br />Emily: I would add to that that when we announced that we coming out with a WiiWare game and it was already in production and that it would be coming out a few months later, everybody was very surprised. We do things and don't talk about them.<br /><br /><strong>How has your experience been with Nintendo's platform versus the PC?</strong><br /><br />Mark: Working with Nintendo's been pretty good. Actually our production process is kind of streamlined and our TellTale Tool is created to work well with multiple systems. So for us there's really no bottleneck, it's the same as working on the PC environment. All the help that Nintendo's been giving us and allowing us the opportunity to be on WiiWare has been great for our company and great for getting titles like <em>SBCG4AP</em> out there to a new audience who maybe isn't used to Adventure games. It's been a great partnership with Nintendo so far. <br /><br /><strong><br /></strong><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/pax-2008-tell-tale-talks-wii-ip-licensing-and-the-future/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PAX 2008: TellTale talks Wii, IP licensing and the future</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/31/pax-2008-tell-tale-talks-wii-ip-licensing-and-the-future/">PAX 2008: TellTale talks Wii, IP licensing and the future</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 31 Aug 2008 08:00:00 EST. Not content with merely developing <em>one</em> episodic game series <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max">featuring a charming dog</a>, Telltale Games has <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080724/ap_en_mo/games_wallace_and_gromit">revealed</a> a new game starring Aardman Animation's eccentric duo, Wallace &amp; Gromit. In <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</em>, players will be able to control both the absentminded inventor and his expressive dog, no doubt developing bizarre Rube Goldberg machines, mechanized articles of clothing and an insatiable lust for delicious, delicious cheese.<br /><br />Though details regarding price and number of episodes have yet to be confirmed, Telltale CEO Dan Connors has assured fans that the show's distinct clay-mated look will be maintained, and that <em>Grand Adventures</em> wouldn't seek to emulate previous (see: not so good) games based on the property. "We feel like the gameplay should be more of an experience," he said. "You should be able to interact with the other characters and really feel like you're in the world of 'Wallace &amp; Gromit..." Given said world's clay constitution, that provides even more reason for us to stay out of the sun.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241573"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_-screen_basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241572"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_gromit_mixer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_squirrel_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_street_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wallace-and-gromits-grand-adventures/#1241574"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/wg_screen_tanker_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/24/wallace-and-gromit-go-episodic-with-telltale/">Wallace &amp; Gromit go episodic with Telltale</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:55:00 EST.
