Swords, guns, and uncharacteristically aggressive dolphins are occasionally added to the mix, but handheld weapons simply pale in comparison to the might and satisfaction imparted by unassisted knuckles hurtling into an opponent's surprised jaw. Upholding this fine tradition is 10Tacle Studios, which today <a href="http://www.10tacle.de/index.php?id=298&amp;L=1&amp;tx_ttnews[tt_news]=319&amp;tx_ttnews[backPid]=297&amp;cHash=3a63f9b514">announced a third game</a> in the <em>Ready 2 Rumble</em> boxing franchise. <br /><br />Further details are practically non-existent, save for the fact that it will be appearing on "various videogame platforms." The <em>Ready 2 Rumble</em> series, which first stepped into the ring during 1999's Dreamcast daze, was adored for its amusing characters, over-the-top boxing action and, as mentioned earlier, its entertaining depiction of people punching each other. In the face. <br /><br />The game will be developed in conjunction with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aki_Corporation">AKI Corporation</a>, the Japanese group responsible for several entries in the <em>Def Jam</em> and <em>WWF Wrestlemania</em> franchises.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/02/ready-2-rumble-2-return-on-multiple-platforms/">Ready 2 Rumble 2 Return on multiple platforms</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 02 Mar 2007 17:15:00 EST. (Who are we kidding? Nintendo made sure to show the loser standing up in the far corner after each bout, so surely no Miis get too hurt.)<br /><br />After the break, watch a fierce KO-punch that results in a near-somersault by the opposing player. Then watch it again in slow motion.<br /><br />[Update 1: We send a big nod (and the wish to never meet in a <em>Wii Boxing</em> ring) to <a href="http://www.the1qwerty.com/wiisports-boxing-headspin-ko/">The1Qwerty who created the video</a>. Sorry we missed mentioning <a href="http://the1qwerty.com">you</a> when first linking the video from YouTube.]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/01/todays-hottest-game-video-wii-boxing-beat-down/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Today's hottest game video: Wii Boxing beat-down [update 1]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/01/todays-hottest-game-video-wii-boxing-beat-down/">Today's hottest game video: Wii Boxing beat-down [update 1]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Feb 2007 00:00:00 EST.
