Last year's NyxQuest, the Greek-themed platformer, is the star among the Wii releases. Otherwise, the Wii Shop a pretty unassuming lineup, unless you're three years old or love both war history and numbers.

DSiWare has ... Miami Nights! Perfect if you like The Sims and constantly thinking of David Caruso jokes.

World Amusing Party Game 2 (WiiWare, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points)

NyxQuest (WiiWare, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points)

Miami Nights Celebrity Version (DSiWare, 1 player, 800 DSi Points)

Well, now there are downloadable versions as well, on both DS and Wii. But at 1,000 points, it's one of the most expensive DSiWare games yet.

Speaking of expensive games, Fatal Fury 3 -- once an expensive Neo Geo cart -- is now available on the Virtual Console. Other interesting games include the retro cave-exploring game Fall in the Dark, and the cute hamster platformer Ike! Ike! Hamster on DSiWare.
