TNA Wrestling and The Weinstein Company are two new partners in the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2009/03/11/gaming37863.aspx">Gamerscore</a> <strike>blog</strike> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/22/some-of-microsofts-gamerscore-blog-crew-let-go/">soulless press release site</a> states that 13 "unforgettable" pay-per-view TNA specials of oiled-up men slamming against each other from 2008 will be available, along with The Weinstein Company's <em>Vicky Cristina Barcelona</em> and guaranteed best-seller among 12-year-old boys who hijack their parents credit card, <em>Zack and Miri Make a Porno</em>. The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films will also release 15 titles soon, including <em>Extreme Movie</em>, <em>Fanboys</em>, and <em>Janky Promoters</em>. <br /><br />In addition, Microsoft noted that since the NXE launched, the sales pace of video downloads has doubled. That's great, just let us keep our <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/netflix">Netflix</a> and no one gets hurt.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/11/tna-wrestling-and-weinstein-company-join-video-marketplace/">TNA Wrestling and Weinstein Company join video marketplace</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 11 Mar 2009 13:20:00 EST. Though uncertain as to what the future holds for each of those territories, he adds, "We're concentrating on delivering the services we've got and bolstering the content we've got."<br /><br />We're guessing the addition of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/26/nbc-universal-hops-on-the-xbox-360-bandwagon-in-the-uk/">30 new Universal movies</a> to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/04/xbox-video-marketplace-in-europe-canada-dec-11/">Europe's XBVM</a> is part of Microsoft's exhaustive efforts. Sorry, Europe, looks like you'll be Netflix-less for a while. Think of it as a boon to productivity! You're helping to save the economy for the rest of us!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/03/microsoft-iffy-on-netflix-style-service-for-euro-360s/">Microsoft iffy on Netflix-style service for Euro 360s</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 10:30:00 EST. Finally making its way over to the UK, NBC Universal films can <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/xbox-360-universal-pictures-movies-to-be-made-available--along-with-new-game-content">now be enjoyed by one and all in the region</a> via Xbox Live. Announced at a London event by UK Head of Xbox Neil Thompson, gamers in the UK will find Universal Pictures films are already available on the Xbox Live Video Marketplace, with such notable classics as <em>Animal House</em>, <em>Scarface</em>, <em>Cheech and Chong's Next Movie</em>, and <em>Shaun of the Dead </em>leading the charge. As you likely already know, the U.S. has had access to NBC Universal films <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/e308-nbc-universal-added-to-xbvm/">for some time now</a>, so it's nice to see the UK finally catch up to us.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/26/nbc-universal-hops-on-the-xbox-360-bandwagon-in-the-uk/">NBC Universal hops on the Xbox 360 bandwagon in the UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Feb 2009 11:28:00 EST. <div align="left">One of the greatest movies of 2008 (possibly EVER!) is now available for rental off the U.S. Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Pixar's <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0910970/"><em>Wall-E</em></a> and all his cute, innocent and robot'ish charm <a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/videos/media/7696028a-067d-4964-97fd-50e05b9176e0/">can be rented</a> in standard definition for 320 Microsoft points or in high definition for the always expensive price of 480 points. This new partnership brings hit NBC, Sci-Fi Channel and USA Network shows to the XBVM <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/marketplace/moviestv/nbc.htm">including</a> various SD/HD episodes from TV shows like <em>The Office</em>, <em>Heroes</em>, <em>30 Rock</em>, <em>Scrubs</em>, <em>SNL </em>and more. The new release pickings are so slim, they're semi transparent and don't actually warrant the use of the word "they". "The" is a more appropriate term, because the only new release this week is <span style="font-style: italic;">Batman: Gotham Knight</span>. Which, seeing that we're in a very Batman <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-dark-knight">state of mind</a>, isn't all that bad of a release. And in HD, who could go wrong? Hit the break to be not at all surprised by all the new video release (singular) you'll be treated to.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/11/video-marketplace-weekly-the-dark-one-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: the dark one edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/11/video-marketplace-weekly-the-dark-one-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: the dark one edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 Jul 2008 14:00:00 EST. But not all of you will. We know there's a select few (okay, about 76% of you) who will want to stay indoors and maybe rent a new movie release off the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbvm">Video Marketplace</a>. And really, that's not that bad of an idea. It's such a reasonable idea, that we've compiled a list of all the past week's new U.S. XBVM movie releases even though it isn't much of a list. There's actually only three releases this week which is sort of a bummer. But they're new new releases, so that kind of makes up for it. We'll keep you in suspense until you make it to the break, but we'll leave you with one final warning message. Do not, under any circumstances, rent this week's "Alternate Ending" movie. Stick with the original. Microsoft and DC Comics have partnered to launch a new <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/marketplace/moviestv/dcnetwork.htm">DC Comics network</a> onto the XBLM, allowing gamers to purchase their favorite DC Comics based television shows. So far, they've committed to releasing episodes of <em>Batman: The Animated Series</em>, <em>Batman Beyond</em>, <em>Superman: The Fleischer Cartoons</em>, <em>Super Friends</em>, <em>The Adventures of Batman </em>and <em>Aquaman </em>as well as DC based 360 theme and gamer picture downloads. Exciting stuff, especially when you've had nothing but <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/"><em>Dark Knight</em></a> on the mind for the past few months.<br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://jarvisslacks.wordpress.com">Jarvis Slacks</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/30/dc-comics-swoops-in-and-saves-the-xblm/">DC Comics swoops in and saves the XBLM</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 30 Jun 2008 16:45:00 EST. NEW new releases including <span style="font-style: italic;">10,000 B.C.</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">Rambo </span>to be exact. We were oblivious to that fact until about twenty minutes ago when a pink jellyfish knocked on our door and told us the news. No joke either, jellyfish really do talk if you're willing to listen. So, with it being a SpongeBob Live Weekend, we're encouraged to download a the free episode <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/marketplace/media/4c27390e-eb6e-499a-976c-40fc3ed7437d/">"Blackened Sponge / Mermaid Man vs. SpongeBob"</a> off the XBVM, purchase other episodes, try the trial of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/26/spongebob-underpants-slam-slams-xbla/"><em>SpongeBob SquarePants Underpants Slam!</em></a>, purchase new spongy gamer pictures / themes and give the retail <em>SpongeBob </em>games a whirl. We do it because we care about you and your movie rental habits. And this week's new releases are ... well, nothing overly special, but they are new and that has to mean something. We guess a highlight could be the release of <span style="font-style: italic;">Fool's Gold</span> solely because it's McConaughey'riffic! That said ... we don't see much more. We're of course talking about the legendary pirates versus ninjas rivalry where new XBVM release <span style="font-style: italic;">Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest</span> will represent the pirates team and the classic (and free) rental <span style="font-style: italic;">Ninja Hunter</span> will represent team ninja. Who will win? We aren't sure, but whatever the outcome is we all should take comfort in knowing that ninjas are way cooler than those smelly pirates. Ninja kick or pirate peg leg kick towards the break for a complete list of this week's new movie releases. So, with a noticeable gleam of happiness on our face, we present to you a free XBVM download of ABC's <a href="http://abcfamily.go.com/abcfamily/path/section_Shows+Middleman/page_Detail"><em>The Middleman</em></a>. We aren't sure how entertaining this <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/marketplace/media/bf512661-27f2-4274-b5c2-a326bf52d4b8/">"The Pilot Episode Sanction" episode</a> of <em>The Middleman</em> is, but it's free so there really isn't any harm. That is unless you have to remove XBLA games or game demos from your hard drive to make space, then we advise thinking about your downloading actions.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/12/free-xbvm-download-of-abcs-the-middleman/">Free XBVM download of ABC's The Middleman</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 12 Jun 2008 12:30:00 EST. For at least a week anyway. The reason we say this is because there have been numerous super new and rather enjoyable movie releases to the Marketplace these past seven days, including <span style="font-style: italic;">National Treasure 2</span>, <span style="font-style: italic;">Semi-Pro</span>, <span style="font-style: italic;">South Park Imaginationland</span> and this fanboy's personal favorite, <span style="font-style: italic;">Cloverfield</span>. There's a stellar list of new releases to check out after the break, so get checking and queue up some movie rentals tonight.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/07/video-marketplace-weekly-imagine-clover-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: Imagine clover edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/07/video-marketplace-weekly-imagine-clover-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: Imagine clover edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 07 Jun 2008 05:00:00 EST. During the conference, Netflix management mentioned interest in "internet-enabled video game consoles" which Pachter believes is not only a hint that Microsoft and Netflix will partner, but that it's actually a good move for both companies. "The competitive advantage of such an alliance is clear: Netflix customers who are Xbox Live members will have the ability to stream online content through their Xbox 360s directly to their televisions" says Pachter. "The ability to do so is available without the Xbox 360, but requires a measure of technological sophistication and a high tolerance for failure." Can you say IN-TER-EST-ING?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/02/analyst-speculates-netflixs-xbox-360-partnership/">Analyst speculates Netflix's Xbox 360 partnership</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 02 Jun 2008 10:00:00 EST. Usually we talk a quick and dirty recap about what new movies became available this past week, but this time there really is no need. There isn't a need because one movie rental is all you should care about. <span style="font-style: italic;">There Will Be Blood</span>. This film is a masterpiece, a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Day-Lewis">Daniel Day Lewis</a> epic and true actor's acting movie that will knock you down only to stand you back up and knock you over once again. <span style="font-style: italic;">There Will Be Blood</span> is a must see. And know that you're getting your downloading money's worth too, because the HD version clocks in at a ginormous 7.2GB in file size, where every MB is worth the wait. Go. Rent. Now.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/30/video-marketplace-weekly-there-will-be-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: There Will Be edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/30/video-marketplace-weekly-there-will-be-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: There Will Be edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 30 May 2008 18:00:00 EST. Though, for whatever reason, <em>Attack of the Show</em> is currently missing in action. Why a Sunday? Well, we could feed you a list of made up excuses, but we think our relationship is at a point where we can be 100% honest with eachother. The reason is very simple ... we forgot. Shame on us! Shame! Shame! Shame! But look on the bright side, you still get a complete and comprehensive list of new U.S. movie releases to the XBVM albeit a day or two late. Enjoy, be happy and maybe rent a new movie release off the Marketplace this lovely Sunday evening.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/25/video-marketplace-weekly-its-sunday-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: it's Sunday edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/25/video-marketplace-weekly-its-sunday-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: it's Sunday edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 25 May 2008 20:00:00 EST. But this week it's a total flip flop. This week's U.S. XBVM only received seven new releases, but one of them is <span style="font-style: italic;">Sweeney Todd</span>. A Johnny Depp movie, which means we whole heartily approve. Heck, this week there's even <em>National Treasure</em> for cheap, which too is a good movie (though there isn't an HD rental option). Check the list of new releases after the break, because even though the list is slim, you may find something you enjoy.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/16/video-marketplace-weekly-sweeney-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: Sweeney edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/16/video-marketplace-weekly-sweeney-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: Sweeney edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 16 May 2008 12:30:00 EST. This week's list of new U.S. Video Marketplace releases is massive which results in this edition of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/video-marketplace-weekly">Video Marketplace Weekly</a> being massive as well. Almost too big. There are new movie rentals that range from Paris Hilton's <span style="font-style: italic;">The Hottie and the Nottie</span> to old-school Michael J. Fox <span style="font-style: italic;">Teen Wolf </span>to <span style="font-style: italic;">The Blue Collar Comedy Tour</span>. There's absolutely no way we can group or categorize the randomness and quantity of new XBVM releases this week. Take a look after the break for a list of this week's new XBVM releases which, we must say one more time, is massively massive.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/09/video-marketplace-weekly-too-many-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: too many edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/09/video-marketplace-weekly-too-many-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: too many edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 09 May 2008 14:30:00 EST. It's just what happens this time of year kids. That's why this edition of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/video-marketplace-weekly">Video Marketplace Weekly</a> is so important, because if rain ends up spoiling your normally fun filled outdoor activities, you know there's always a freshly baked movie waiting for you to rent off the Video Marketplace. And even though this week's releases aren't all that new or exciting (except for <span style="font-style: italic;">The Kite Runner</span>), we're sure you can find something in the XBVM catalog. Stay dry, stay indoors and spend those points.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/02/video-marketplace-weekly-go-fly-a-kite-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: go fly a kite edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/02/video-marketplace-weekly-go-fly-a-kite-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: go fly a kite edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 02 May 2008 14:15:00 EST. That is if you enjoy toxic horror movies or comedic gold, because <span style="font-style: italic;">Toxic Avenger Part II</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">III </span>as well as <span style="font-style: italic;">Toxic Crusaders: The Movie </span>released to the U.S. Video Marketplace. Also, the <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0136797/">Steve Carell</a> comedy <span style="font-style: italic;">Dan in Real Life</span> released which, we'll admit, has to feature one of our favorite movie covers. Probably because we like pancakes and listening to them as if they were a bowl of <a href="http://www.ricekrispies.com/">Rice Krispies</a>. Anyway, make you way to the break to digest this week's U.S. Video Marketplace new releases.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/25/video-marketplace-weekly-toxic-life-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: toxic life edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/25/video-marketplace-weekly-toxic-life-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: toxic life edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 Apr 2008 14:00:00 EST. Three new partnerships that are all said to be with major companies. Three new partnerships that they are keeping secret and will announce soon. You see where we're going with this?<br /><br />It has been no secret that Netflix has been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/25/netflix-confirms-xbox-360-surveys/">kicking around the idea</a> of using the Xbox 360 to grow its subscription service and their announcement of three new partnerships could ultimately lead to Microsoft being one. But, like we said, this is a huge stretch. Microsoft already has a lot invested in the current <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbvm">Video Marketplace</a> setup and the addition of Netflix would throw a huge wrench into things. That is unless there's piles of cash to be made ... so, maybe?<br /><br />[Thanks, Greg Lawson]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/23/rumor-netflixs-new-partnerships-to-include-the-360/">Rumor: Netflix's new partnerships to include the 360</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 23 Apr 2008 11:30:00 EST. Did you also know that when Video Marketplace weekly appears on Saturday instead of its normal Friday time slot, it's usually due to the writer forgetting totally about it? It's interesting and true.<br /><br />This week, we'll keep the wordage down to a minimum, because all you really need to know is that <span style="font-style: italic;">I Am Legend </span>is on the Marketplace and in juicy HD glory. We think you'll agree that killing zombie-vampires will never look so good. But there are other new video rental gems as well, so we advise taking a jump towards the break to read about all eleven of them. Sound like a plan? Good. Head towards the break as soon as you can.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/19/video-marketplace-weekly-legendary-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: legendary edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/19/video-marketplace-weekly-legendary-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: legendary edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 19 Apr 2008 09:30:00 EST. U.S. Xbox.com users will notice a newly revamped <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/marketplace/moviestv/default.htm">Video Marketplace section</a> and no, it isn't just a new coat of paint. It's a complete re-construction of Xbox.com's XBVM section that actually makes it useful. W00t!<br /><br />We advise jumping right in, so point your browser to <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/marketplace/moviestv/default.htm">Xbox.com's XBVM area</a> and prepare to be amazed. You can now browse the entire list of movie rentals that are available, search by title, download rank, rating or just for movies that are available in HD. Once you <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/marketplace/media/ca007e8b-d363-49e1-8f64-56d87fe4c1bb/">find a movie</a>, you'll now be able to read its synopsis, run time, file size, pricing and more. But that's not it. All that functionality is available for television content as well with the added bonus of browsing each <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/marketplace/media/01bcff53-9b0d-4916-ad3c-58e6e8ab89e2/">show</a> and each <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/marketplace/media/d9cec789-939e-4eb7-98fd-f8bf03ef8bbc/">season</a>. They even added a <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/marketplace/moviestv/comingattractions.htm">coming attractions</a> section to preview upcoming XBVM content. The amount of information available is amazing! It's also a nice compliment to our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/vide-marketplace-weekly">Video Marketplace Weekly</a> feature. A big high five goes out to Microsoft for getting this up and running.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/04/11/end-of-week-update.aspx">Major Nelson</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/14/xbox-com-adds-u-s-xbvm-media-details/">Xbox.com adds U.S. XBVM media details</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Apr 2008 16:00:00 EST. It's so good, you'll probably never want to watch another movie ever again, unless of course <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000849/">Javier Bardem</a> stars in it. Click towards the break to see what other movies made it onto the U.S. Video Marketplace this week. You deserve it.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/11/video-marketplace-weekly-no-country-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: no country edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/11/video-marketplace-weekly-no-country-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: no country edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 Apr 2008 15:45:00 EST. Your heart with thank you. And this week the U.S. Video Marketplace gets a rather solid lineup with movies like <em>The Exorcist</em>, <em>Raging Bull </em>and the semi-new flick <em>Into The Wild</em>. Safran, who we're told is a new web production company, will more than likely create content targeted towards the 18-34 demographic with media in the horror, comedy and science-fiction genres. Details are still extremely light as we are yet to hear whether the content will be available worldwide, distributed for free or advertiser driven. And, if by chance, the video shorts end up being free and entertaining, we'll make Safran an honorary member of our elite cool kids club.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/863/863194p1.html">IGN</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/31/safran-to-produce-original-content-for-xbvm/">Safran to produce original content for XBVM</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 31 Mar 2008 14:30:00 EST. That isn't to say this week's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/video-marketplace-weekly">Video Marketplace Weekly</a> isn't full of movie fun, it's just to say that the movies being offered aren't all that spectacular. That said, our fellow fanboys who love them some funeral entertainment will be in rental bliss this week with the release of both <span style="font-style: italic;">Death at a Funeral </span>and <span style="font-style: italic;">Four Weddings and a Funeral</span>. But, alas, this edition of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/video-marketplace-weekly">Video Marketplace Weekly</a> has no such thing and no Easter cheer will be spread. Instead, movies like <span style="font-style: italic;">Malibu's Most Wanted</span>, <span style="font-style: italic;">Robocop </span>and <span style="font-style: italic;">Poltergeist II</span> will have to fill your Easter weekend movie rental itch and that's just how it has to be. It may not be <span style="font-style: italic;">egg</span>sellent or <span style="font-style: italic;">egg</span>stravagant (huzzah!), but the XBVM does have new releases and that's all we can ask for. Hop on over to the break and check out the complete list of this past week's new XBVM movie rentals.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/21/video-marketplace-weekly-not-so-easter-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: not so Easter edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/21/video-marketplace-weekly-not-so-easter-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: not so Easter edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Mar 2008 14:00:00 EST. New movie rentals that run the genre spectrum from kids television shows like<em> The Wiggles</em> all the way to some R rated <em>Gone Baby Gone</em>. Another way to put it, this week's U.S. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbvm">Video Marketplace</a> is like a Chinese buffet holding a variety of types and flavors of movie rentals. And yes, we did just compare the Video Marketplace to a Chinese buffet. So, go dig in already, fill your plate up with new movie rental knowledge and make your way towards the break where we've listed this week's new movie rentals. Just stay away from the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_Pao_chicken">kung pao chicken</a>, because it will wreak havoc on your digestive track.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/14/video-marketplace-weekly-its-a-buffet-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: it's a buffet edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/14/video-marketplace-weekly-its-a-buffet-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: it's a buffet edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 14 Mar 2008 16:00:00 EST. When neon colors ruled fashion, <em>TMNT</em> were teh hawtness, hairstyles defied gravity and the movies were all so simple. And this week, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/video-marketplace-weekly">Video Marketplace Weekly</a> is taking you back twenty some years to those times with the release of a handful of 80s flicks. Movies including the Keaton edition of <em>Batman</em>, <em>Bull Durham</em>, <em>Purple Rain</em>,<em> A Fish Called Wanda</em> and <em>Back to School</em>. But you don't have worry. We know there are a select few of you out there who don't embrace the awesomeness that was the 80s, so for you, there are also newer releases like <em>March of the Penguins</em> and <em>Fierce People</em>. No matter what your tastes, hopefully you find something rental worthy tonight after browsing this week's XBVM releases which we conveniently outlined after the break. Take in the 80s, live the 80s, love the 80s.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/07/video-marketplace-weekly-thats-so-80s-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video Marketplace Weekly: that's so 80s edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/07/video-marketplace-weekly-thats-so-80s-edition/">Video Marketplace Weekly: that's so 80s edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 07 Mar 2008 16:30:00 EST.
