8 player online was simply good enough for a $10 game. But 4 player local? Hells yeah. Only way anyone could top that is if a version hit PSN with seven player local support.

Win!

So, costumes. Like the costumes from Bomberman 64? That would make this just that much more kickass.

Zertoss, honestly, I'd just be happy with something like the Raving Rabbits system. Preset number of shoes, heads, bodies, and bammo. People don't spend all day pimping their man.

Incidently, thing I hated about the Bomberman 64 setup... you would pimp your character, get it all the rocking, and none of your friends could use your parts....

sheppy, yeah I'd want the whole Bomberman customization thing to happen offline, so when you hop online, you just play instead of waiting on the indecisive guy to pick an outfit. And if the costumes are earned, they should be unlocked for everyone playing on that system, or better yet, have an option to enable it for everyone on that system, so you could also have your buddies come over and you could all see which costumes you've gotten and comment on how awesome or lame each other's Bombermen look in these costumes you or the others haven't earned yet.

I dunno, maybe I'm thinking too much like Nintendo on this?

I might have to finally retire my Saturn Bomberman, 2 multitaps, and 20+ (just in case) controllers...

If this is based on the Saturn Bomberman code, then isn't the character customization limited to the sprite set? As I recall, the original game had four colors of Bombermen and then six characters from other Hudson games. I'm not saying I mind, it's just that without information to the contrary everybody seems to be assuming 3D models with costume and body part options.
