I thought 8 player party worked on everything... So does that mean all games out now can't use it?

It seems as though the older games will require updates.

The party system will be an integral part of XBL every game will support it. However, there is some "smart" functionality that wont be available to developers until the November SDK is released. If a game wasnt built with the APIs from the November SDK built in (ie every game made up to this November and slightly beyond), or isnt patched, the party system simply becomes a mass invite tool.

sounds like a uhm. . . neat idea, i just don't get the banjo kazooe part. it's been a bit since i played it but i remember jumping using kazooe to float. will there be any of that?

As I understand it, no. Kazooie is now just a glorified wrench holder. I, too, remain extremely skeptical of the game.

...but at least it's only $40 bucks. Can't go wrong with that, hopefully.

Comon Sam be optimistic son....If I can be excited about a platformer with a main antagonist named SACKBOY I can be excited about Bears in cars.....Seriously SACKBOY? How do you get that name past the first faculty meeting.

Lets get excited if it sux I'll dye my skin, get a nose job, and hang my kids over the balcony.

what good is a bird in a bear's backpack if you can't float to neighboring platforms? this game would fit one of those building toys better but i guess it wouldn't get the same kind of attention and they don't want to pay to use the name.

I don't know. Something tells me Nuts and Bolts just won't be the same as how we remember it being on the Nintendo 64. Almost as if it's trying to appeal to the 'modern' audience.

Just like how Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull did...and we all know how THAT turned out ( I mean that it was horrible and the films should be burned).

So, um, can you run and jump? You know, like in the previous Banjo Kazooie games? Does this game have anything to do with the Banjo Kazooie games that I remember, other than the appearance of the character sitting in the vehicle?

This game looks worse and worse every day. What a huge letdown. At least we get banjo kazooie and tooie on XBLA with hd resolution.

Bear sharing? This is why they're always on the threatdown. Now they'll spread like wildfire.

I can't wait. I think this game is gunna be a lotta fun but will be definitely underrated because all of the people that compare it to the first two banjos. If people would just get past that, and just consider this a game by all itself, I think people would see how awesome it is.

Come on, online battle like mario kart, with your custom created vehicles? Vehicles that can be a combination of air, sea, and ground? It is just a win win for me. Plus you can't beat the 40 dollar price tag and if you pre-order at gamestop you get a xbla code to download the original banjo for free! If that is not awesome, I don't know what is then!

i played the game at X08 and wasn't impressed.

http://untoldentertainment.com/blog/2008/08/21/x08-underwhelming/

The controls felt really floaty, and the levels are HUGE ... running around without a vehicle seemed to take forever. The demo jockey threw me into a vehicle that had all the bells and whistles unlocked, with four rockets surrounding the ship, and it wasn't really all that fun to play with.

This is definitely not the Banjo Kazooie of my youth. It may have been interesting with an entirely different IP behind it. Skinning it with Banjo and Kazooie seems like purely a money grab, and is somewhat of a bait-and-switch for players so that Rare can (IMO) dishonestly maximize their game sales.
