Rumor: Xbox 360 to receive red 'sident Evil 5 bundle

Ars Technica's mysterious mole has brought word that Capcom's monstrous African safari, Resident Evil 5, will be sold in a new Xbox 360 bundle, presumably alongside the game's launch on March 13th. The bundle will allegedly include: a copy of the game; a red Xbox 360; a red controller; an "exclusive" Resident Evil 5 NXE theme and a download coupon for Xbox Live Arcade's Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD.

We've asked Capcom for comment (Update: No comment), but in the meantime, let's ponder some of the mysteries surrounding this supposed bundle. What Xbox 360 model is included? How much will it cost? And why red? Out of all the colors in the world, red has to be the least favorite among current and future Xbox 360 owners.

Are not Billy Gates philantropic efforts focussed on world health, specifically HIV? I would then lean this rumor more to the true side.

Oh,and red is a good luck color in Japanesee culture too, I believe.

Maybe it's red because it will match once the RROD inevitably rears its ugly head.

I looked at some more shots of him and i think its just the picture. i mean, even his hands look bigger than his head there. still, you have to wonder where some of the creativity has gone when so many games have characters that look the same. Y'know... 6'10" tall, size 16 wide boots, steroid abuse, stubble, perfect hair days (in a war zone!) you get the idea.

I'd like a red console that would be really nice. I love the red controller.. I know I am in the minority though.

Highly doubt I would buy a new console though just to get an RE5 red one! But... it sure will probably be pretty.

I love the red control. It just feels better than the white ones. Might be because it has a different finish, but it just feels good!

I'd get this in a heart beat. I want a Xbox 360 and if it is $300 still im sold day one.

Red the least favourite colour!? ARE YOU MAD!? I'd love a red 360. I think I'd probably miss my Elite though, since the black is pretty sexy. Maybe red and black in a kind of zebra-like pattern... Oooooooh yeeeeeeeah...
