Capcom confirms Tatsunoko vs. Capcom localization

That totally convincing-looking Nintendo Power scan did not lie! Capcom just admitted, via its Twitter account, that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is, in fact, being localized for a North American release. The terse (it is Twitter, after all) announcement: "cat is officially out of the bag on Capcom Mystery Game #1," followed by a link to the scan. The announcement was also made on the Capcom Unity blog.

That means there's one more "Mystery Game" left in Capcom's E3 lineup. Honestly, it could just be a second demo station for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and we would be perfectly happy. Maybe we shouldn't admit that.

Fan-freakin'-tastic! I hope the manual is printed in color and has a guide for who the funk all these characters are.

From a friend of mine that's into the tournament fighter scene, it's pretty jacked up.

On top of that, the only characters I'd really want to play as are Viewtiful Joe and maybe MegaMan.

If they fix things up and toss in some more characters for the NA release, I might look at it. otherwise, pass.

What do you mean by jacked up exactly?

Mechanics, how easy things are to exploit, how unbalanced they are, etc.

well compared to MVC 2 is the king of balance, seriously.I have the game.And i played MVC2 tournaments.For years.

Being more balanced than MVC2 is like being richer than Ethiopia.

Yay! Now that this is coming stateside there will be a chance of a sequel. It's a neat fighter but there are definitely some kinks that need to be ironed out... Er I mean it's missing Samurai Pizza Cats :p

Well, i'm glad that another [company name] vs Capcom game was made and that it looks decent. Hope the game play is as good as MvsC2.

One thing bothers me though, whatever happened to Sammy vs. Capcom?
I mean, talk about a sure win that never materialized.
Anyone know what happened with that one?

While I'm glad this is coming stateside, there is no way I am shelling out for a Wii plus two compatible Hori sticks just to play one game. I am already set on my 360, I assume most other fighting game fans are in the same boat. Hopefully this gets ported to 360 and PS3 with an online component. If not, I'm perfectly happy with SFIV, Blazblue and KOF.

Sure could use a new CvS, tho.

i have TvC and i played all the rest. SF4 is surely better blaze blue is cool but very meh when compared to TvC. KOF is trash at best. Its super broken and ugly as sin. It has zero line at the arcade and i beet it in one sitting. Tekken 6 is the only other good fighting game comming out this year....but god dam is it good.

Long story short if your a fighting fan its worth picking up a wii..i mean Brawl is an amazing fighting game aswell. and you can pick up GG. KOF collection and SF2 on VC

Over $300 for one fighting game with either nonexistent or likely broken online? Not worth it.

Not sure if online play has been confirmed yet... Rumored on Kotaku, but not confirmed.

I can bet the next game they'll announce is a US release date for Lost Planet 2. Which hopefully will get a PC release... 8[

I hope the other mystery game is Rockman Dash 3.

Kudos to Capcom for actually meaning it, when they stated that they are trying to get this title in the hands of U.S gamers.

Easy buy for me, simply by having the presence of Ms. Morrigan. :)

Perhaps Mystery Game #2 is another Breath of Fire game, that would be pretty sweet.

Square Enix Published one of the GBA remakes, I'm pretty sure they don't own the rights to it. Although I could be wrong.

Van, then-Squaresoft localized the SNES Breath of Fire I, while Capcom did the rest of the series, along with the GBA remakes.

So, it's a Capcom game, not a Square Enix game.

A shame I got this on import, but I've played it out already.

If the western version actually has more features and characters then maybe, just maybe I'll buy it again.

That picture needs more under-aged anime characters throwing up peace signs while winking.

meh this is pretty corny news for someone who has had this game for months..... It better have online or something in the US cuz its pretty lame game when the only person you play is your girlfriend. (my friends rather play me in SF4 or brawl)
