If I could just add some input into the whole religion/atheism debacle?

Religion: very illogical, based on ancient ideas and superstitions, misinterpretations and divisions in faiths have caused great suffering and racial/religious tension.

Atheists: A bunch of people with the misconception that people care whether or not they are religious, and the paranoid fear that everyone is out to 'convert' them. The majority are way more closed-minded and forceful with their beliefs than the majority of those who are religious, and so they are ultimately hypocrites.

Both paths suck either way so can this just be dropped?

It can't be dropped cause neither side will accept the others way of thinking, and its entertaining to debate with friends, and family about it.
I remember along time ago there was a HUGE thread on joystiq about it, (and it had nothing to with the post ) one of the funniest threads EVER.
almost makes me wanna go find it.....=)

There is also the third group made up of people such as yourself who believe we shouldn't have a debate, and should instead keep living our lives like nothing is happening. You are probably the worse since you just want to ignore this vital issue, and considering the amount of damage that religion has cost us as humans, I'm more than willing to discuss it.

This is most definitely a pisstake. It's all too cheesy and far too over the top to be taken seriously in any way, shape or form.

Some kind of viral marketing or a joke, I reckon.

Move forward three rows?

We all know that Catholics sit in the back and avoid the first rows like the plague. Puh-lease. This video isn't even CLOSE to accurate!

What? How the hell is mass an exclusively Catholic thing? Even if that is true, why does that make atheism a less relevant final boss? "Thus making atheism only a semi relevant boss" Ive literally spent like 20 minutes trying to type a response because that statement is so incredibly confusing. Atheism doesnt target just Catholicism or the practice of mass, how is that less relevant?

That's exactly why it would only be semi-relevant. A better-suited finally boss would be one that is specifically anti-Catholic.

like what? King James of England and the 1605 Parliament? That's certainly more relevant

Mass, in the Judo religions, is strictly a Catholic thing. Jews and Christians do not have a mass. They do share ideologies and some practices, though. Catholics push aside Jesus taught beliefs and insert their own, pope=God's will on earth and such, so we should be able to find a better boss than Atheist. To tell the truth, Atheism should be more pro-science than anti-religion (there is a difference), so it wouldn't make that good of a main boss for anything.

Keeping in the spirit of being a wise cracking asshole, I suggest that prepubescent altar boy. I really wish they didn't eat pork like Jews, then I could suggest a prepubescent altar boy made from bacon.

If we're going anti-catholic... a good mid-boss would be Martin Luther, and the final boss should be God, he could come down and attempt to destroy all the statues and graven images and "saints" the catholics pray to... (that they had to rewrite the original jewish 10 commandments to allow for)

As a Catholic who regularly attended mass for the greater part of his life, you have no idea what you're talking about. Especially since ive attended mass at several different non catholic denominations. I will never understand why people feel the need to separate Catholics from Christianity as if Catholics aren't Christian, what the hell is that? Catholics are Christian, and Christians have mass

Google "Martin Luther"

>Christians have mass

No, they don't. They have church services.
I challenge you to find any christian religion that has "mass", besides Anglicans.

I'm a preacher's kid, I know what I'm talking about.

It's like asking why Islam and Judaism should be seprate. Somewhere down the line, some guy decided that they could do it better than God and came up with their own Messiahs and religious laws. It's the same thing the Jews accuse the Christians of and the Christians accuse the Catholics of visa-versa, flip-floped, and passed down the left hand side.

Even with something non-religious like Atheism you have your diffrent types that think they know best, they have different ideals a beliefs. Same thing with fanboys and video games, anime, cars, motocycles, how to wipe your ass... etc etc.

I know who Martin Luther is, but that doesn't answer my question. Halo 3 had driving segments in it, but no one calls it a racer do they? Catholics still worship Jesus and are thus Christians, no matter what martin luther says. As for "mass" I guess i just dont know the difference, but ive been to methodist churches where they read from the gospel, then they have the sermon, then the blessing rituals, then the communion, just like Catholic mass

It should be noted that only about half of LameDuck's "facts" are rooted in reality, and he really has no idea whatsoever what Catholics actually are or believe.

To answer you question(s) "I will never understand why people feel the need to separate Catholics from Christianity" and "Catholics are christians"

First off, nobody said Catholics aren't christians, they are, and are the original christian religion.

Protestant (every non-catholic christian (baptist, methodist, presbyterian, etc)) churches ARE NOT and DO NOT want to be catholic. YES, they all are christian. Yes they have communion, yes they pray the apostle's creed,

Protestants DO NOT: pray to mary, pray to saints, pay money for their sins (divorce) to be forgiven, pray on the rosary, pray to statues, have statues of mary in their front yard, have purgatory.
They DO use the original jewish 10 commandments, do not believe the pope is god on earth, and on and on and on.

Catholicism is the only christian religion that is like this, except for maybe Anglicans and Orthodox. Protestant christian religions are different from each other, yes, but they ALL have the same anti-catholic dogma beginnings.

Christians (and others) persecute catholicism because it's different from all the other christian religions, not because they're christian as well :P

@stormhit: I bet you'd feel like an ass if I told you I had a minor in theology, wouldn't you? Just look to Jpyre to get the basics of Catholic beliefs and practice.

Catholicism, just like Islam, is too different from the Christian/Jewish base to classify it as one or the other. Catholicism is Catholicism, Christianity is Christianity, Islam is Islam, and Judaism is Judaism, which is what all these branch from. *Or, to be more correct, what started Judaism is what all these branch from and Judaism started Christianity and Catholicism.*

Looks decent...I will probably wait for the expansion pack though I hear it has father tom's "lets play a game secret room". You start off as an altar boy and then after mass you and father tom get a little tipsy on communion wine and play "wonder where this fits."
