Jamie Foxx to play Lynch in Kane and Lynch film

According to the Twitter account of Kane and Lynch screenwriter Kyle Ward, it seems that Lynch will be played by Academy Award winning actor ... Jamie Foxx. Huh? Tweeting last night that it's a "Done deal ... Jamie Foxx is in," Ward outed the star of Ray as one half of the game adaptation's titular team (Bruce Willis is allegedly signed on for the role of Kane).

When asked about whether Foxx would be playing Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted film (also being written by Ward, though he was said to be taken off writing duties some time ago), he clarified, "Foxx for Lynch (Kane/Lynch)," pinning Foxx to the long-haired half of the duo. What's really surprising is that the film's producers didn't go with Kevin Gage (Heat's "Waingro"). Come on -- they look identical!

A Samuel L. Jackson Shepard wouldn't be too far-fetched with ME's character customization. In fact, I'd love to see SLJ Shepard in a Mass Effect movie. He would make the ME-verse about 5 billion times awesomer.

That enforcer guy from the first Boondock Saints is a perfect choice. He looks just like Lynch. Chalk this one up to the casting agent throwing darts.

I'm going to get shredded for this, but I've never gotten why filmmakers feel the need to deviate from the source material so often when race is involved.

You can't tell me that somebody looked at Lynch from the game and seriously said, "Man, if we make this movie based on two white guys, and we cast two white guys to play them, people are going to be upset. So, hmm.. you know, I bet Jamie Foxx would be perfect for Lynch!"

Makes me wonder who is going to play Kane...

This has been in talks forever. While I don't like the casting of Foxx, I think this could be good. Unfortunately, Bruce just came out with Cop Out and some people might lump this in with that one.

Not a fan of the game at all. However, I am a movie buff and fan. As a fan of movies and speaking from this perspective, I must say I really dislike Jamie Foxx not to mention he looks nothing like Lynch seeing as said character is white and Foxx is black.

at any given time, i can find at least 2 dozen guys who look like this on any bus here in san francisco. a dozen more if you walk by liquor stores or school playgrounds.
