With all my Amazon discounts from other preorders, I was planning on using a few to get this at $30. Seems like the price will go down on its own in a short amount of time, simply because it won't sell as well as expected.

Honestly, this would be my first PoP game and everything I've seen of it, I like. I've been watching Youtube gameplay vids of all the other recent PoP games, just to compare and see why everyone doesn't like this one but LOVES the others, and I just don't see it. I don't see what made the others so great. Maybe that comes solely with my point of view, hypothetically jumping into the series at this current point in time. Maybe that's why Forgotten Sands would be my first PoP game. There must be something here that I, as a newcomer, see that everyone else doesn't or can't. *shrugs*

In the end, to each his own, but to be blunt, I was really quite hoping that reviews for this game would show all the pessimists and premature naysayers how wrong they were. Maybe some still will. Or maybe it'll be just another case of 95% disliked the game a whole lot, while a select few others and I liked the game quite a bit. =\

Save yourselves the shit, and pick up Prince of Persia. the beautiful cell shaded charismatic one, undersold by its repetitive nature. Still is better than this!

This is like, warrior within/two thrones wii version x10

How do you know? I hate when people feel like they know how a game plays before they even touch it.

Anybody who likes the 08 game shouldn't be listened to.

I'm sure this game is MUCH MUCH better.

Look, I played and loved all of the previous games. The main reason I want them to continue the PoP reboot is because of the massive cliffhanger left open at the end of the game and teased in the Epilogue. In my opinion, it was the most flawed of the recent games, but had the most compelling narrative.

The combat looks kind of stiff and awkward from the gameplay videos I've seen, but the platforming looks great as to be expected from a PoP game....however I think I'll stick with Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption this week, I'll give this one a rent at some point.

I thought they should of just simply re-released the Prince of Persia Trilogy as an HD collection to celebrate the release of the movie.

I'm sure it's an okay game, but I just knew there was something off about this entry from day one. Clearly just capitalizing on the movie release. Ubi, continue with the Ahriman story please.

Well, since my parents won't let me get Red Dead, Alan Wake it is then. Kinda dissapointed with this one.

Create 50 rooms, five types of enemies, and a main character. Now throw them together and this is the garbage you get.

Well, since you designated this as the Xbox 360 review, that means a PS3 version review should be forthcoming, right?

I'll wait for that one!

Well, I bought this one last night and I love it. His movement could use a bit more polish, but it seems to fit well into the SoT trilogy for me. I don't feel like I've wasted a cent.

Lol I love reading comments like Skyblazes.

And as for the review, YES THANK YOU! My friend who has a hard on for the original Prince, but didn't get the game today like I did, had no idea what I meant when I said from the last PoP and even after playing AC and AC2 he felt incredibly stiff and fake when doing all his acrobatics.

Never liked the face either, but I had to remind myself they never had it like the box-art in the PS2 versions. Well maybe the first game... back back on point: were amazing games to play on the PS2.

Still going to finish this title as its not agonizing to play. Nothing impressive still, but maybe now despite how sure Ubisoft's PoP team is, they'll finish the PoP story with Elika which is what I really wanted in the first place.

As a fan of Prince of Persia going all the way back to the O.G. original on the PC, I loved the Sands of Time trilogy and, like everyone else, didn't really like the most recent next-gen "remake" of the game. It wasn't that great.

I've just come off of a six hour session, my first with Forgotten Sands, and I can only say that anyone who doesn't like this game is just trying to gripe about something. I remember reading reviews when the last POP game came out where people kept saying "I want it to play like the SOT trilogy". Well, that's exactly what Ubisoft gave everyone and people still want to whine about it? ??

No, the combat is not God of War complicated. Yes, they have managed to spice it up and now it feels much more fun than it did previously. I am not really sure what anyone is talking about that the animations are "stiff".....if you have such fond memories of Sands of Time (two generations ago) then plug in your PS2 or Xbox and take a look at it. It will look not so great when held up to this new game.

I would highly recommend this game. Before you start tearing it apart just remember that it took hundreds of people years to make this game and they came up with some ideas I've never seen before in a platformer, which is saying a lot. It's way harder than you think to create the 9th or 10th game in a series and still be putting new creative ideas into the game. I paid full retail for my copy and I for one am glad Ubi is getting my sixty bucks, because I want another Prince of Persia game in a few years!

i just bought the game about 2 hours ago, played it for about 45 minutes and i was left scratching my head thinking how come im so F******G bored thinking of playing my old metroid game instead of this piece of shit, MOST DEFINITELY IS A HUGE F******** STEP BACKWARD. and by the way im refering to Super metroid from SNES.

i dont know whats wrong with me lately, or maybe its not me, maybe games lately are crap. and im forced to go retro for enjoyment, not all the time thought, but sometimes.
i still enjoy games like gothic and borderlands ect. but all these games that are comming out are so not fun..........
