New Driver? This could be good now that they have the ability to make gameplay better.

Yea last one I played was on the Gameboy Color (Colour?) and it sucked hardcore. Hopefully they won't do overhead view again.

This reminds me, isn't a new stuntman game being made?

Oh god. I remember Stuntman. I think I spent 70% of my time "playing" that game while watching load screens.

I wonder if there is going to be any more mudslinging between Driver and Grand Theft Auto? I loved that last generation..

Driv3r Three had some almost stuntman like levels of scripted difficult and thus it was not much fun at all. Shame because the car physics and general graphics were awesome. I reckon driver could come back, if its carefully done and not just same the crap in a new bag.

Was this the series where you played as a secret agent and you had a car that looked like a white lambo and there were missiles on it and it could transform into other vehicles on the fly?

:(

No.

This was the series that included Google as a search engine.

Nope... Last I heard, the Stuntman series was put out to pasture not long ago. It's a damned shame too, since Stuntman: Ignition was a great game in my book. I still play it on the 360, and I still have the original PS2 stuntman as well (load times suck though).

What I'd have liked to have seen, is a Stuntman title where you get to be the director and transform open world locations for each movie (around 1/4th the size of GTA's liberty city each) into custom stunt sites with fully destructable environments, that you would coordinate a number of scenes in by defining a route then populating the area with stunt boxes, explosives, fires and ramps, combined with inserting actors and other stunt drivers into the stunt location, along with setting up the cameras for each part of the scene to get the best shots. Then after you run though the stunts, you get to splice the scene footage yourself and get ranked on how impressive the footage was.

"keep is locked"... haha done and done.

I'm assuming their booth will have a constant internet connection, otherwise the game will truly be parked.

What about a graphic update and XBLA re-release of the 2nd one?

in my view Stuntman (ps2) is/was a timeless classic. Didn't like the new Stuntman at all.

far as the Driver franchise. Driver 3 was fine, except for the on-foot missions. The driving/physics/graphics were near perfect.

Driver 4 was a letdown IMO. The car models were tiny (much like Driver 1 and 2)

Gee, I must be old and feeble, but I LIKED Driver1. IT was one of the first freeplay car games in 3d. Matthew J. Orley in Akron.

driver 1 still has the best 70's driving physics to date. the game was truly a work of art. my favorite would have to be the police chase mode where the cops go twice as fast and twice as insane and you have to just survive

'Driver: Parallel Lines' was a great game & it has more traffic than in GTA IV + the story is coolerer.

I recently popped Driver 1 into my PS3 and it's still fun, with a lot of charm. Losing hubcaps is as fun as it ever was.

Driver in san francisco eh?
Hopefully they make it like Driver 1 for the PS1/PC, that game was awesome!

Every other game in the series has slowly crapped up the franchise.
