It'd be great if they did this over here. A 15 minute demo goes a long way in helping to decide between what is worth downloading and what should be avoided (shovelware).

I hope they continue doing this. The previous round of demos got me to buy Pokemon Rumble and I'll definitely give the demo of Jett Rocket a go.

I am really interested to hear the logic the Nintendo execs used to decide that demos should be offered only for a limited time. A "demo program" is insulting compared to what the other online services offer.

Xbox 360 still has demos and content available from when it launched 5 years ago.

What is the name of the game used in the image above? Anyone who has this game recommend it?

@def PD I'm curious too. It looks like Cosmic Smash.

@def PD It's a screenshot of Thru Space. It's a game where you fit a block through a hole in the approaching wall.

This is great news, and Nintendo better get on the ball and bring this back to the US. The development teams for World of Goo and the Bit Trip games all reported increased sales for their games whenever a demo was offered.

Nintendo really needs to do a better job with its broader strategy, rather than its micro focus on one thing at a time. Nintendo doesn't seem to grasp that not everyone gives a hoot about the next Mario remake--in fact I think the DS's success in the US can be largely tied to the very large range of games that were available for the DS for the first couple of years--different titles all appearing to a very broad audience, before the market became overrun with Imagine games, brain trainers, and pet"z" simulators.

For a company with so much going for it's self, its amazing how utterly stupid they are when it comes to the internet and having a smart online presence. Seriously their whole store setup sucks. Their online plan is still a joke.
