Minecraft's in-game CPU now available to download
20
If we were to wager a guess, we'd say the only way to really understand how that in-game CPU someone made in Minecraft operates is to actually get deep down in there and take a look through its gullyworks. Fortunately, thanks to the generosity of its creator, you can now do just that.
You can enroll in a self-taught course of extremely obtuse computer engineering by downloading and loading up this Minecraft save file. That download includes a text file to help you understand exactly how to operate the CPU, which is awfully considerate, since we're not sure an infinite amount of monkeys using an infinite amount of computers could figure out this bad boy on their own.

I'm actually curious how you're supposed to program for it.

@Tiptup300 I'm actually curious why in the hell you would WANT to program for it.... is it just for the novelty or because you want to lear how vacuum tube computers used to work?

I laughed out loud at Raiki and Mister Darcy's comments, whether those double and triple posts were intentional or not. Good job guys :D

The real question isn't how did he accomplish such an amazing feat, but how did he keep it safe from Creepers?

I made an 8-bit processor IN REAL LIFE one time.

Even more amazing than making a simple CPU - you're taught how to do that in freshman ESE class - is how he managed to organize the layout for all of it - it is SERIOUSLY hard to make anything with redstone when you can't have adjacent wires that don't connect!

The CPU is only useful if you can get in game and use the CPU to download porn.
