Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, God of War, Phantasy Star Portable to name a few. PSP has been offering great games!

@TheKevinButler Hey, Where the hell is Marcus.

But besides that, anything else. Metal Gear sounds fine, yet GoW was a flop.

I can watch The Walking Dead on it though :D

Dissidia Final Fantasy. Are you looking for console exclusive? Because I think you're out of luck. A PSP 3000 is a better deal. But a PSP Go is not an absolutely terrible device. In fact it would be fine if software prices were reasonable and it had all games in its library.

ETC.

There are some great PSP games, like Kindgom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core.

Just not on PSP Go!

Yes, but everything on the PSP Go is also on the 3000, and then the 3000 has some exclusive and much better priced content thanks to UMD.

And the 3000 is cheaper.

Not a whole lot man, and you have to wait a long time for new releases to be uploaded to the PSN and at the premium price. The only thing the PSP Go is worth for is homebrew (I have one for that reason actually), outside of that the damn thing is worthless. Get a PSP-3000 or PSP-1000(if you want great build quality).

@Angel Mass You can't get Tekken 5 for the PSP digitally anymore. I don't know why but they removed the option to transfer it from the PS3 to the PSP, and there's no way to download it from the PSP storefront. I'm not terribly thrilled about it needless to say.

@Wazzup4567 Do you like RPGs? The finest RPG from the Playstation2 has a home on the PSP's, including the Go: 'Persona 3 Portable'. It polishes and expands the gameplay of the original, and might just be the perfect role-playing, "dating sim" conversational threading, pokemon-like training and battling game for a device that can wake/sleep rather than have to boot every time. It's even cheaper on PSN than it is to get the UMD—the way the market *should* be. It's $19.99 and personally justifies my expense of the PSPgo, much like the 2007 re-release of 'Final Fantasy Tactics' -to this day- remains oh-so-worth-it for my purchase of the PSP1000.

@Esposch No no no... It's all about "Pause Game".

The PSPgo is the only PSP that allows you to fully save a game state to memory, like going to standby but with no power used.

I use this constantly to "save" during VCII missions when nearing the end of my commute. And because it's actually saved, I can quickly play other games in between (so long as I don't Pause Game in THAT title and overwrite my "save")

Did the Go get an upgrade to the PSP's video playback abilities? Because the PSP cannot play 99% of videos found online without transcoding them first. :(

I guess the PSPgo's supplies really did last.

Something that still ponders my mind .. This thing was released in .. 2009 ? Yet they managed to screw it up by STILL using wireless B and not move on to Wireless G or better yet Wireless N ?

Honestly, If the PSPgo had just 2 things > Wireless G/N and UMD to Digital. I could care less if it costs 250$ I would have bought it from the get go. As long as it didnt take 2 hours to download LBP. I would have been just fine with the starter price.

Damn I still wish I waited. My mother bought me this on Christmas last year for 250$ starter. Now its 150$ with 3 games. Also white go > black go.

Well guess ill go repair my black pspgo over at techrestore. Hopefully HEN puts some use into the Go .. like my umds into digital format. The way it SHOULD have been.

I bought a PSPgo off Craigslist for $100 and it's awesome. I probably think it's more awesome because of the price but I love the portability of it and the controls are much better.

I agree, though. The thing does need more games. I'm still waiting for a UMD to Digital converter of some kind and I want my FF Tactics War of the Lions on the network.

I could care less about the Wireless signal. I use the Sony Media Go on my PC or my PS3 to download everything to my PSP. Super easy and quick.

@MiguelAMX An option to convert from UMD to digital would actually get me to trade-in systems. But I've got enough games in UMD that it's not going to happen.

"Honestly, If the PSPgo had just 2 things > Wireless G/N and UMD to Digital"

That second one is the killer for me. I have a pretty good stack of the little things going, I'm not obsoleting them.

I've already written off the Go as the logistics disaster and complete consumer-business disconnect that it is. Now a brand new game is exclusive to UMD? What a laughing stock.

Why is Professor Layton and the Unwound Future the same price as Diabolical Box? It's still pretty new so you would assume they'd price it a bit higher.

Should be worth noting that the box picture on Amazon for the black Go says it includes three games, so I'd assume it's the same bundle sold elsewhere.

I ordered it yesterday, so if it doesn't come with the three games, I'll raise hell about it. :V

I got one for the same price at Best Buy on Friday. I was going to try to get them to price match Amazon, but they already had it for the same price. I'm not quite clear on how the free games work, supposedly they will email me in a week with the codes. I also got Peace Walker on sale for $20 on PSN to play for now. I might need to get an AV cable as well, now.

@SmokemeaKipper Actually, I've been wondering if BestBuy's exact-same promotion was a test to see if the market would jump onboard with a better price. While most of my library is still for my 1000 (UMD based), I already have three more games via PSN on the White Go piece I picked up when Joystiq announced that sale. It just took Sony this long to figure out "it's the price tag, dummy". If there was enough of an install base, I think the number of games would rise, too—developers can't be blind to the greater security features of the uncracked Go over the UMD-rippable hacked PSP millennials. I still wish I had the new 2007 FFT over the classic (*ancient*) 1997 version, but overall I like the device, and the price I paid for it.
