Life-Affirming? GamesRadar, that's insane. I hope they put that on the inevitable GOTY edition.

It is true. I wanted to kill myself before I played Epic Mickey. Now I just want to live in a Disney world and live forever!!

Oh come on, the review was written by Chris Antista, he's a huge disney fan so cut him some slack.

Everyone is entitled to fangasming once in a while.

@BigD145 Oh come on, man.

I'm talking childhood fan.

I think we could afford not to be so jaded all the time. (And I'm specifically talking about the way we act like reviewers aren't people.)

More importantly a 6 is actually very good for Eurogamer.

I guess the fact they're pedantic and strict with scores has me respecting them over IGN. It means only great games get 8s never mind 9s or 10s.

Again with the conspiracy theories and paranoia about scores. Eurogamer has a lot of reviewers and you are saying they're all full of crap? Do YOU actually read their reviews? They seem pretty in-depth and high quality to me. How people believe that there are huge game sites out there that just exist to troll people is beyond me.

Uh ... Eurogamer doesn't necessarily troll, per se, but you just have to keep in mind that their scores are always 2-20 points lower than the average. So a 6.5 from Eurogamer is an 8.5 anywhere else or a 65 is an 85.

@Tradio And the only thing Xbox360 can get are two thousand first person shooter games about the Cold War and/or WWII. Seriously, are you that oblivious?

No you got that wrong. The Wii can't get anything right. Unless you're 4.

FYI, Best Buy has a deal, buy this and get another Wii game for half off. Choices include Sonic Colors and well.... Lego Harry Potter? But hey, Sonic Colors for $25 is a nice sneak preview to January....

After playing a few hour, I have to say all the talk about how bad the camera is wasn't emphasized nearly enough in anyone's review - we're talking first gen N64 era bad camera here. Still, I'm having a blast (first area of Mickeyjunk mountain with the NES and SNES cartridges had me creaming), and I have the feeling that this is going to go through the Okami syndrome. That is to say, extremely stylish with a solid enough foundation, but nothing spectacular gameplay wise. If you've been pining for a 3-D platformer in the same vein as Rare's N64 work, definitely worth picking up.

This wasn't on my must buy list but only on a consider if get through must buy list. Now you've compared it to Okami, it's gone up in my list. Sure, maybe you're comparing it for the wrong reasons, but Okami's gameplay was never an issue for me, and Okami's style kept me through the whole game in 2 weeks (3-5 hours a day consistently is rare for me with any game).

The Men In Black would be Org. XIII in Disney's case, anyway.

I couldn't disagree with that Euorgamer quote any more - the dark, dystopia world is what attracted my attention to this game in the first place.

I just don't get the appeal of this game, but I'm not a huge Mickey Mouse fan. Perhaps it's the retro coolness talking but while Mario, Sonic and even Sackboy from LBP are kid-friendly too, I just don't equate them to that same level of unhipness as Mickey Mouse. I don't want to play a Mickey Mouse game. At all. I have less than zero interest. I have negative interest. I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just being honest.

"Fundamentally, Epic Mickey misunderstands what people love about Mickey Mouse. He simply doesn't fit in this grim, post-modern dystopia, dripping with bitter-sweet nods to forgotten corners of Disney lore."

Someone hasn't seen Mickey in The Sorcerer's Apprentice (or the rest of Fantasia). Probably one of the darkest pieces of animation ever.

Ken Levine, Hideo Kojima, and Warren Spector are the only three game designers I care about enough to remember their naems, but considering Spector hasn't done anything interesting (IMO) in 10 years... I guess it's just down to Levine and Kojima.

Spector... now that Mickey is done, please join the Deus Ex Human Revolution team and help them out. Thanks.
