Dead Space Aftermath trailer is gory beyond belief

Man, if you thought Dead Space was gory, wait until you see its next cartoon adaptation. Yes, that's kind of a weird statement, but after watching this Dead Space Aftermath trailer -- which has an astonishing murders-per-second ratio -- we feel like it's accurate enough.

Oh, come on, they couldn't get renders from the game itself for the CG? It looks awful.

Not too crazy on how the 3d scenes came out. Its look completely out of place with the low quality of the models compared to how awesome the drawn animation came out.

I don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing that I can say, "Eh, I've seen more gore in a cartoon before."

DS is one of my favorite video games ever, but I really hated the first movie and this looks no better.

Good news: It appears to have more going for it than Dead Space Downfall.
Bad news: That's not saying much of anything.

the infected look like zombies instead of the usual necromorphs of the game.

Why are they mixing 3d with 2d in this movie? The in-game graphics look better than that shit.

@fohf
I don't know. There's a lot of good examples out of there good mixing of 2D and 3D graphics. This wasn't one of them. I may be mistaken, but it seemed like the same characters had 2D and 3D versions of themselves. And they look too different. It's just jarring.
They should take a break and watch some Futurama.

That's what happens when you have no imagination in this game/movie industry - you rely on gore to attract attention.

Where does this fall in the series canon?
I'm unsure of how it all breaks down.

Maybe it's actually episode based, and each are done in different styles, like the Animatrix or Halo Legends?

Predictable. Who wrote this drivel?

Now, we just need this in anime quality and... What's with the awesome 2D and the lame 3D?
