@Electrium YIKES! Now I can't unsee those two guys. Most bloggers who are waxing poetic about their multiple cats and their feline adventures don't make much money, but you can bet a site like this generates revenue. These guys aren't doing it for the love of it. And if they are, they won't be for long. I worked in game journalism for almost a decade on the web and in print (full time...not volunteer) and we don't do this for shts and giggles. It's a career. One, that I thank God every day that I'm no longer a part of, except as a hobbyist. And also, that I'll never, ever, have to attend another E3 again. Amen to that.

Everything on here is solid gold (except for a couple of the indie uprising games, but even those are mostly amazing).

XBLA is half the reason I have/use my xbox.

Or better yet, completely disregard this post and wait til the inevitable sale that Microsoft will have during the week of or week after Christmas. That way, you can buy more for less while showing Microsoft that you like what they got, just don't wanna pay full price!

Not to be a critic, but exactly what use is a Holiday Buyer's guide when you cannot gift purchases to someone's Xbox live account?

@superfrick Several of these are available for purchase at GameStop, where you pay the actual cash value for a code.

What kind of money do you think bloggers make? ROFL.

( BTW, Super Meat Boy was made by TWO people. I'll let you figure out if they're Joystiq editors or not )

Really Zombie Island is the best bet for Borderlands DLC? General Knoxx was just mostly more of the same but ultimately if you are into Borderlands that is probably what you want.

Without a doubt Knoxx has to be first. Zombies are fun too, though.

@(Unverified) Agreed. If other people like it, great. But it just felt like it fit the "decent" indie game category and isn't good enough to be XBLA. But some people love it. I don't get it, but more power to em'.

For all of those people who thing "Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom" just sounds silly, it's a f*cking spectacular game! If you liked Braid and like time-manipulation, puzzles, it's perfect. Download the demo and see if you like it. I've been addicted to it like no other XBLA game I've played. It's a simple to learn, hard to master type game.

I don't understand the Indie Games Uprising thing. The first week of December came and went and half of those games still aren't released. Did Microsoft foil their plans or something?

Hate to disagree with one of the add-ons but Secret Armory of General Knoxx was the best dlc for borderlands hands down. Coming from a guy who bought all the dlcs definitely go with knoxx. Soooo much fun start to finish

@Mikey XBL gamertag Sgt Mikey 516 Completely agree. Not only is general knoxx longer, funnier and features better enemies, but you get the increased level cap to provide some motivation for working through everything. Zombies are definitely fun, but Knoxx is one of the best DLC's for any game ever.
