A Space Shooter for Two Bucks gets a straightforward trailer

Next week, PlayStation Plus members will be able to get Frima's newest Mini -- A Space Shooter for Two Bucks -- for free. (We hope we don't have to explain what non-members will have to pay.) A new trailer gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

So since another one of these has come up, can someone clear up exactly how these "free" PS Plus games work? As I understand it anything you get free you don't actually own, and once your subscription expires, they go away.
Does that mean if they decide to offer, say, my favorite PS1 game Xenogears for "free" to Plus members, and then a little further down the road they have a random sale of the game for 50% off for everyone, I'd be prohibited from taking part in that promotion because my only option is to download it (temporarily) for free?
If so, that's kind of weird. It would be like Gamefly only offering games for sale to non-members, and taking away the "keep it now" option for paying members.

@onan
correct that any free game you get from ps+ goes away when subscription ends.
Yes though if there is a sale on a game you can buy the game that is on sale and you will keep that game regardless of your subscription ending

If I remember correctly, if you are a plus member and get the free version, when it comes on sale (while you are still a plus member) you will not be able to purchase the game because it shows that you already have the game.
I am pretty sure this issue has been raised on the PS Share Blog as a known issue. Agreed it should be fixed (if it is still a problem).

@Bronxchulo One more question...if you always have your subscription to plus will you always have the game or will it delete itself after a certain amount of time?

No. If the subscription never lapses the game will stay with you. If you allow it to lapse you will lose your license to play the game and should you decide to renew your subscription down the line, said license to play any game you had previously downloaded as a plus member will be renewed as well!

I wouldn't pay more than $1.99 for that.

I just want to know if that voice over is in the actual game or its just for the trailer, because I really wouldn't want to listen to that the whole time I'm playing.
