Def Jam Rapstar adds Kinect support, drops price

Two interesting updates have been released for Def Jam Rapstar. We'll start with the news most likely to be useful: the game's cheaper now. Publisher Konami announced that the MSRP has dropped to $39.99 for the standalone game; a quick look at Amazon shows that the microphone bundle has an MSRP of $49.99 -- and both are a couple of bucks cheaper on Amazon right now.

For those of you who already have it on Xbox 360 or plan to pick it up, you'll now be able to use the Kinect to record video for upload to the community, thanks to a new patch. However, one thing that hasn't been updated is how you look rapping at your TV. Sorry!

have you seen any of his videos?

this kid goes into the Apple Store in Time Square I think and makes these ?music videos" on whatever MacBook he can get on.....he wa seven on Good Morning America a few times....

damn near all the videos people look at him crazy....even the ones that join in look crazy

As for the game itself, meh. Way too below my radar to care.

I reckon the west coast sign now can have meaning when playing this game.

You can really go Thug Life and have a gangsta party.

Exactly why I waited to buy it....

These games drastically drop in price quickly....it'll be $20 with mic before we know it...

I'm intersted in trying this game. But won't be buying it yet.

I rented it from Game fly ,, holy crap its hard .. it goes way to fast , i thought i was a decent rapper when it comes to singing along in the car .. but in real life i am just sad
