Thank you JC! I played the Recettear demo the other day and was planning on waiting for a sale.

Steam also has a daily indie deal that's on the indie page of the specials and not on the main page. Today's game is Clones, which is some sort of Lemmings-style game for $2.50

I've been dying to get Recettear for so long, but thanks to the holiday season, I'm so poor right now that I may as well be living in a cardboard box. Guess I'll have to wait till the next sale ;~;

Also, Joystiq, waiting till 7 am to post the sales isn't very good, since there's only like 5 hours left, and you've had since 1 in the afternoon to post it...

@SystemPatch Your patheticness has swayed me! Give me your Steam ID and I'll buy it for you. I'm not joking.

Thanks, but I happened to get a gift of it a little while ago.

Still, thank you. :) I hope you enjoy the game as well, since it looks like you got it too.

And if you wanna add me to play a game together or something, my steam id is the same as my name here. I've been looking for a new TF2 server since my old one's gone bust for now.

everyone should play Recettear. Its a really original RPG. Great fun delving into a dungeon with some adventurer and then taking all the items you got back to your shop to sell at insanly marked up prices :)

I wish the people would buy my stuff at ridiculous prices. I guess my game had the AI implemented in me where I barely make it by the end of the week.

Capitalism, no? :(

@Dao Jones

Your first game you will likely go bankrupt, but if you lose it brings you back to day 1 with all your gear and level, so it's easy to make it the second time around.

at least that was my experiance, every week I barely had the cash, week 4 I went bankrupt because I was shot 600 on a debt of 400,000 or whatever it was if only I could sell a bloody book!. Great Game!!!

You get thru a dungeon, you have a ton of stuff, you are almost done, you are down to one hit to kill you, and a damn enemy comes out of nowhere, and hits you.

Nooooooooooo!

I got the Spore complete pack which I've skipped for the longest time because I never liked spore until the the "Galactic Adventures" component was added making it more like an adventure RPG (although I bet it'll pale in comparison to DarkSpore when that's released). Hard to believe the thing normally costs like $78 making $20 is a very good deal in that case.

Okay, I absolutely adore you Joystiq peoples, but those were yesterday's deals, meaning they end in about four hours.

That said, Recettear is a lovely, lovely, super fantastic game and you should all go buy it right now. Like, right now.

Also, they have Spore listed as $19.99 but that's the old price. The deal price is $7.50

I already have bought 12 indie games in last 10 days (humble indie bundle + steam) and intend to buy Hydroventure (Fluidity) when comes out here tomorrow, so I'm inundated with amazing indie games. I can't keep spending stuff on Steam.

Recettear was cheaper when it was bundled in a $5 indie pack during the treasure hunt sale. Snatched it then, but this isn't bad either! Gogo Capitalism Ho!

I wasnt aware Joystiq deleted messages.

someone had posted about the sale ending in 5 hours (now 3.5) and it was deleted...

FTR, the next batch of sales start at noon Central time, and these will dissapear.

Last year the sales were better from steam I believe, maybe they will come after christmas?

Uh, I never saw it, and I was waiting for it to come down.

It was in a bundle pack around then for $5, but that included other games. It wasn't $1 by itself.

Recettear is awesome. It was part of some indie pack around Thanksgiving that I got for $5. I jumped on it in a second once I saw that game in there. Loved the demo.
