Just Dead Rising 2 for me today. Wanted Darksiders as well, but trying to limit my purchases a bit and I wanted DR2 more.

Think I'm gonna try and stick with $5 games for the rest of the sale :P

Please mention the Daily Indie Deals as well. Today's is Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time (http://store.steampowered.com/app/57800/). The indies need all the coverage they can get.

Has anyone played Risen? DL'ing the demo now. Looks interesting.

Day 1: Awesome deals, two or three games wanted.
Day 2: Sucked. Only games that I owned.
Day 3: Sucked. Only three good games, and I own them.

Please tell me its gonna get good again. x.x

@Evin im new to pc gaming. had tf2 on xbox and had a blast with it and i know how much better it is on pc so.

The Orange Box is still half-off, so you can get TF2 for $15 through TOB, plus you'll have Portal and Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and Half-Life 2: Episode 2. That's a pretty solid foundation for a budding PC Gamer's collection. And TOB is half-off for the duration of the holiday sale, through Jan 2nd, so no rush to get it before today's sales are over.

and I thought the initial ME2 discount at 29.99 was as low as it would go

I've now bought Mass Effect 2 three times. Three. Also, I'm dying to catch TF2 on the cheap.

Sorry, but while they are big games, I've only time to play the shorter indie games, so today didn't really offer anything of interest, as still making my way through the Humble Indie Bundle, Fluidity comes to UK WiiWare tomorrow, and Christmas will bring DKC and Prof Layton.

You already checked out the €4.49 / £3.99 / $4.99 indie packs on Steam, right? You can also buy the games individually for 50% off. Of course they aren't all good but there are some real treasures among them.

1 PC, 2 on Xbox 360... It was $11 free shipping on Amazon and I had no idea how to say "No."

So what was the point of even making a Mac steam version if nothing is ever on sale? I gave up on it

I wish gfwl came with good deals like this. the only good deal was the Aoe3 pack for 10 cents. Steam needs some good competitors. other then that I have bought 2 games off of steam in the pass 3 days

GFWLive sure wouldn't make a good competitor, if only because Microsoft will never make GFWLive available on other platforms. Steam is on Apple's Mac and Sony's PS3(with Portal 2 in April), I dare you to say Microsoft would put out their games on platforms owned by their rivals.

The fact is, Steam is just so damn awesome, which you seem to agree with. :)
