"$3.75 Super Meat Boy from the sale's first day, we can't be bothered to get outraged."

I was a tad outraged. Only because I've been diligently checking on the sales every day so I've already taken advantage of these deals :(
Although it did give me the opportunity to gift a bunch of my friends who unfortunately missed the deals the first run. So there is a silver lining I suppose.

These are some wicked deals. Picked up Meat Boy just for the soon to be released editor on PC. I'm going to get in on Xbox Live because I'd rather use a controller to play the game.

Also picked up LC: Guardian of Light. I need a good dungeon crawler game and like the co-op aspect.

Now... should I pick up Witcher... That is the questions...

@SelectStartPQ You could always use a 360 controller to play on the PC. Best of both worlds.

@SelectStartPQ You know that if you have a wired 360 controller, you can just plug it in and if you have the Microsoft drivers installed, you can just play SMB with the game pad without having to do anything special?

@Vaitork You can buy a NES controller to USB adapter and play SMB with an actual Nintendo controller. Makes playing games like Cave Story even more enjoyable =)

@Faenix Nice! I only have wireless controllers so I think I'll just see if I can get a cheap wired one used at Gamestop.

Thanks for the tips! Looking foward to playing some SMB but didn't even want to try using a keyboard for this game. ;)

@Vaitork Thanks for the tip. I only have wireless controllers but think I will run over to Gamestop today and see if they have any cheap used wired controllers. I found online that they have a wireless receiver for Xbox 360 controllers but unfortunately they are $33. I think I'd rather just get a dedicated PC Xbox controller. =D

Just got a rig able to fully run all of Steam's capabilities. So, naturally, I installed Steam, got an account, and will be playing TF2 and messing around with Garry's Mod tonight. So far, so very nice. Didn't realize this was such a developed and polished service.

Ive been hearing good things about super meat boy, but im just not excited about it. I guess its the character design.

Do they have a mass effect 2 package with all the DLC included?(like the upcoming ps3 release)

Not entirely the same thing as super meat boy, but it'll give you a good idea of what you're in for

well i missed out on getting ME2 when it was first on sale and decided to pick it up this round along with:

The Witcher - can finally go back and play this with a computer that will actually output an FPS over 10...

Birds of Prey - WWII Flight Sim. It's been probably close to 10 years since I've played a combat flight sim (not in space that is).

Supreme Commander 2 - Another title i missed out on due to too many other games that released at that time.

also grabbed the 2D Indie Shooter pack, and am debating what to spend my last 20$ on....

Save It!!!

-This was only the first week...New Deals coming up this coming week.

--Hopefully that means a new set of everything..Indie Packs, etc.

There was that one rumored Indie pack with Amnesia, Super Meat Boy, Killing Floor, Red Orchestra, and more...hopefully that comes up =) hence why i haven't bought SMB yet.

I'm actually really happy of these recaps. I was outraged a few days ago when my indecisiveness made me miss some of the great deals like super meat boy for 3.75! Or lara croft for 5.10! This feels like Steam overheard my prayers (or curses) for missing those once in a year super good deals!! I'm almost positive that Steam probably hired a brilliant psychologist on board their sales team who is able to predict the average consumer's mindset.

Just a note, buying F.E.A.R. standalone actually includes the expansions, so it's actually cheaper to buy F.E.A.R. 1 and 2 separate instead of in the bundle.
