any self-respecting dev would be foolish to not have at least 7 planned 3DS games at this point!

Well. I'd love a new Rayman! but I wouldn't be disappointed if it was based on Rayman 2 as the Dreamcast version was amazing

Rayman has the potential for a mini revival if done wisely in a similar vein to Mario and Donkey Kong Country.

@Faenix
Well not revival really, but NSMB did bring back the feel of the old Mario 2D platformers is really what I mean.

Super Mario World needs to be revived. Absolutely. A true new game in that vein would be more delicious than pie.

There, I said it.

Who cares about Rayman? Give me a 3D Rabbids game Ubisoft!

@dcfox

I hope that's a joke. That Rabbids shit has nearly ruined the once spectacular Rayman series of platformers.

Its probably another port of Rayman 2. That's fine because its one of the greatest games ever made, but I wish they'd make a new actual Rayman game instead of churning out Rabbids minigame collections. Make the damn platformer Raving Rabbids was originally supposed to be.

@Jackovy Boehner They ported Rayman 2 to the DS though (Rayman DS). I don't think they'd port it a second time to the 3DS.

@scy1192 except now that I think about it they did port the first one to DSi after it was already ported to the GBA

Im pretty excited for the 3DS no because i want 3D but because the prospect of 3D working without glasses is pretty amazing, if it can pull it off then i can't see why we don't see 3D tv's doing the same thing with the ability to either have 3D or not if you choose to do it. but for the love of god no more rabbids i hate those things most annoying game characters ever, worst than ewoks from star wars.

@asojax

This tech will eventually make it to home TVs... it just has some technical issues with viewing zones to be worked out first. The 3D effect only works if you're viewing the screen from certain angles. should work decently for. handheld where you only have one viewer and limited viewing distance. It's a bit more problematic for home viewing where you may have multiple viewers at varying distances.

I put the 50 bucks down at Gamestop already. I don't usually do things like that, but with all these announcements from publishers (and the totally awesome lineup from Nintendo themselves) there's no way I'd regret getting a 3DS... my Day One purchase just got Day One-ier

This should be our new Rayman. I still want to see Rayman 4 on the PS3, but if we just get one that is even better than both 2 and 3, I'll be happy. Never cared much for the original Rayman though.

This better not be another bloody port though, especially of Rayman 2. Look what they did to it on the DS. I mean, the game is good, but it's on PS1, PS2, N64, Dreamcast, PC, DS and iPhone. I'm sure there are others I'm missing too.

Oh, and this time, no Rabbids, unless Rayman is sending their furry asses on a one-way trip to HELL.

Ok, got it, "3D" is the new "DS", grandchild of "64".

Rayman 64 -> Rayman DS -> Rayman 3D

Did everyone forget about Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc? It does not make sense to make a port of Rayman 2 and call it Rayman 3DS .
