So Activison, defendant, is accused of being vile and corrupt to the press and sheeple on the internet want to believe it (because there's one "too many Guitar Hero games!") so they do.

Meanwhile Activision follows procedures and submits evidence to trial when they get sued that shows quite the opposite, but remains the enemy because the initial PR stunt by the prosecution was great fodder for the sheep. Because they're "tired." All that comment-pitchfork-waving and forum-torch-burning and Kotick-picture-defacing is just so much work.

This should teach people a lesson in 'innocent until proven guilty,' but I doubt it will have any such effect since people are so keen to believe whatever nonsense suits them contrary to any evidence.

It's a shame that you took all that time to type something that nobody can even read without squinting.

I am with Activision on this one, BF sucks hard so its no wonder EA would try to convince Vince and Jason to join EA.

@Salt Shaker also i might add that in BFBC2 EA tried hard to try and bash other shooters but failed miserably at it.

Bad Company 2 was easily the best "modern combat" shooter since CoD4. It made MW2 and Black Ops look silly.

You seem to be regarding your opinion as fact I see. The Battlefield series is bad ass and it encompasses much more than just its console editions.

Either you're trying to troll this post, or you have a poor way of stating your dislike of a game. Sure BC2 is no COD, but personally, i find the BF series to be refreshing from call of duty's rocket-ski finger of death gameplay. Sure that is an over exaggeration but just because you personally dont like a game doesn't mean it sucks hard. I could be wrong though, you could have the collective knowledge of all human experience and have a larger understanding than I do

@Jae Brav It's a superior game because it is an actual game, and not a shooter.

Call of Duty is built from the ground up to be a multiplayer shooter and nothing else. The rest of it is lacking and has been for a while. CoD is not a complete game in the same way that BFBC2 is, but it doesn't have to be because it outperforms it from a multiplayer feel and content standpoint. They're two completely different things. Multiplayer platform and multifaceted gaming experience.

@Salt Shaker Sorry "bro" but BFBC2 eclipses MW2 unbalanced mess. Neither game had a really good single player, but BFBC2 kills MW2 in multiplayer.

I haven't touched BC2 since Black Ops came out.

rounds of BC2 were always hit or miss, largely based on how well your team was cooperating, and most of the gameplay is just running around by yourself to the next checkpoint

Yeah, not sure why people are holding up BFBC2 as the paradigm of a great game.

It is a solidly constructed game, but the "fun" can just be as piss-poor as black ops as times IF your teammates are not doing their jobs.

Also, the timing of events doesn't make much sense to me.

By the time BFBC2 was released, Zampella and West had already been fired, and (according to media reports) the whole studio was demoralized because Activision decided not to pay out employee royalties on a $1 Billion game in a failed attempt to keep their best remaining employees from leaving.

It definitely makes sense that there could have been schedule delays on the Stimulus Pack while the whole studio was going through a shitstorm, but I'm not sure that Zampella and West were in any position to prevent the Stimulus Pack from shipping at that point.

It would certainly affect coverage, and what games you see your friends playing on XBL, and would effect EA's marketing.

Also, it sold over 2.5m units in a week. At $15, that's 625K "full-price" games in a week, on Xbox 360 alone. Considering BFBC2 was going after the same market, and consumers have a finite amount of entertainment time and entertainment dollars, it definitely seems relevant to me. EA blasted BC2's sales numbers out on March 18, still 12 days before the MW2 map pack would hit.

Actually, judging from the many comments of scrubs elsewhere besides joystiq, some ppl were more willing to drop money on a new game as opposed to an extra map pack.

Because Activision funded both of those project till they were almost complete before they cut them from the roster.

Ghostbusters was picked up by Atari (I believe) which Activision can't give a crap about and they fought Brutal Legend ONLY when EA decided to distribute it.

Mind you EA supposedly only agreed to distribute the game. The funding to finish the game came out of Double Fine's pocket which is why they weren't able to stop it from being released.

This happens to at least 5 titles a year under Activision's belt. Remember the DJ Hero fiasco?

Activision's business practises need to be mandated. Being a cut throat company killing off tech and games is not good for the business.

They are smart but a bit too smart sometimes.,

Both games were very successful. Even with the map pack pushed back it still sold over 2.5 million units in a week on the Xbox alone! C'mon Actvision, with COD BLOPS making you over $1 billion is there really any need to sue EA over stupid shit like this? You're the ones that ruined Infinity Ward, not EA.
That's just my two cents.

I agree they're not supporting it well AT ALL, but Quantum of Solace wasn't bad and by most account Blood Stone is good. And then there's Goldeneye which was also well received. I don't know if you remember EA's later Bondn games. *shudder*

@chrisgrant as a game they were both medicore imo. As a bond game they sucked donkeys, Everything or Nothing is by far one of the best bond games to date. The only thing that beats it is the original n64 Goldeneye. IMO the remake shouldn't of happened I think they were just trying to cash in on the originals glory. But I suppose it was far better than Goldeneye Rouge agent *shudders*

It just goes to show you how money hungry activision is and how they want to you to take their side in this "countersuit", and that activision will not address how you feel about your working conditions. As long as people keep supporting activision... :/
