This can't be good. Though I've only seen one review of this game, on this site, and nowhere else.
Two Turds Two I guess....

It's getting average reviews I'll wait until it hits $30 to take the plunge...

@TheCabbage my friends list has 3 people playing it and they all love it. Apparently, online...actually works.

I got in from Gamefly and played a bit and wasn't impressed. The voice acting is TERRIBLE as are the accompanying animations during cut scenes. I didn't play much beyond the tutorial, so maybe the game gets better, but I just sent it on back to to Gamefly with the idea that maybe I'll come back to it at some point it I have time (maybe during the summer slow period?).

I rented & started loving it about 4 hours in. The low level of polish & janky run/jump animations turned me off at first.
Think I'll buy it when amazon has a sale ( which should be soon, since Kmart is discounting it already )

Hey all, just as a heads up, this deal was promoted as a Cheapassgamer.com promotion only so there is not a lot of inventory out there (2-3 per store) as of yesterday. The deal will ring up correctly but the stores will most likely not know about it since it was not advertised on the blog etc. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line at Josh.deane@searshc.com

Thanks for all of the hard work and great sales that come with it. Kmart is #1 for my gaming needs because of this. Keep it up. :)

Bought it, and it's a very good game. Still not stellar, but vastly superior to the first game. I'd give it an 80%.

@KungFuChaosNinja What'd you like/dislike about the game? (NOTE: I sit two cubes down from @SHCGamer)

About Two Worlds II? The negatives would be as follows:
#1: Some missing dialogue, which makes the NPC characters, as well as your character, stand in the dialogue stance, with depth of field, and a limited walking space. So when the dialogue is missing, you'll often stand there and wonder if the game screwed up on you, which then makes you restart it. Had you been able to walk out of this stance during NPC dialogue, it wouldn't have been as much of a problem. It'll also make you uncertain about what you're supposed to do, so you have to check your quest list, which can be rather vague at times.
#2: Depth of field. The effect is applied heavily and makes backgrounds look rather blurry.
#3: Sometimes the action seems delayed. I'll often press the button to jump, block, etc., and there will be a delay from the time I press the button to the on-screen reaction from the main character.
Other than these issues, though, I'm really loving the game. I would've rated the first title in the 30% range, so even with these issues intact, it's still a very good game; however, there is still work to be done in future Two Worlds games.
Note: I'm playing the Playstation 3 version. I can't comment on the other versions, which may or may not have these issues.

@Phades Would you mind shooting our lead buyer a line at joshdeane[at]searshc{dot}com? We can get you sorted out if you give us some details of what happened.

You're missing out. It's very good.
I agree, though, it could use a lock-on for combat, and maybe some cool evasive moves.

After I started learning more abilities & how the magic system works, I liked the depth of the game.
The game is beautiful though, and really good music.
The lack of a specific lock-on in combat (except for homing spells) took some getting used to.

Anybody with experience on the co-op? Is it relegated to a small island like TW:1?

Shucks. Should have waited a bit. I bought this on launch and well, I'm not unhappy about it.
It takes some time to get used to and there is a definite learning curve but the depth of the game is something that is hard to come by these days IMO. It's easy to forgive the bad, albeit hilarious at times, voice acting and the graphical glitches that pop up with all of the things done right.
I'm about 12 hours in and I'm not even sure I've made a dent in the game. I'll be playing this for some time to come.
