A new DLC pack for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will deal with the eternal struggle between Porsche and Lamborghini, it seems. The 1.2 patch for the game reportedly brings with it several new Achievements and Trophies, accidentally discovered by one of Eurogamer's readers -- since then, Xbox 360 Achievements has posted a full list of the new Achievements.
It's pretty compelling evidence. The Achievements list cites specific events geared around the Porsche and Lamborghini. Also, this shouldn't be confused with EA's previous marketing stunt to give users DLC for the game which, it seems, is still ongoing.
We've contacted EA for comment and will let you know what we find out.

I thought the last dlc was pretty decent at 560 points, but I read this will be 800...Kick-ass game though, got a swell deal online last Nov. and was thoroughly impressed.

Great, I wonder if this will infect my achievement progress like all the other EA DLC seems to regardless of whether you buy it or not.

I really hate how EA incorporates the DLC in the game updates....It's a waste of space on my HDD. The only convenience is quick buying from the PS store.... 150KB files.

I do too. I had gotten 1000 in Dante's Inferno, then the next day some DLC was released.
I haven't really touched NFS MW in a while, been doing some other things, but don't really feel like buying the DLC. So, I probably won't be getting the full achievements, even though I enjoyed the game. Maybe if it ever goes on sale.

Porche pack got highlighted the last time I was in the campaign map, but nothing was there yet .... another good indication that more DLC is coming

I found this game is not like riding a bike. Played it again after not playing for weeks and I kept running into a bunch of walls. lol

Damn, more DLC!? I just bought the other pack.
I really need to play through the rest of the campaign.

I've been hopping on and playing on and off this week, really having a great time. I kinda wish I could have picked this up as a digital full game download on PS3, though, as I find myself playing a race or two (after checking my Autolog) right before bed. Would be nice to just load it up rather than having to put a disc in the drive.
That said, I still love the game, regardless. If Criterion's "Burnout Paradise" is any indication, hopefully they'll shift it over to a digital download when the game's down to $20. In which case, I'll happily buy it again just to avoid putting the disc in the drive.

I only started this on Tuesday. At first, I wasn't too impressed with NFS:HP, it's free roam is lacking, graphics are not the greatest in a racing game (compared to Split/Second or Forza, for example). I thought that there was no way I was gonna play this game all that much.... but...
I was WRONG, it's just an incredible game. "Muscle Reflex" and "Prestige" (recommend playing that one with the lights out) races are my favourite so far. Just heart-pumping stuff. Even just driving around in free roam has grown on me. It has that "just one more go" hook...
This game is the reason that I haven't slept much in 2 days.
