I've got this on black Friday from amazon for $60. Haven't had any problems with the stick. Although I'm not a crazy button masher

I bought it 2 months ago for $50 at Best Buy. Guess no one is buying the thing.

Great deal. I use this stick for bust a move and other games of that ilk.
And of course fighting games. Great for a casual player like me.

I must be doing something wrong. The site is not giving me an option to have the item shipped. Only choice is to pick up at a store in Lexington, SC but there is a store here in Augusta, GA. What gives?
Posted: Feb 21st 2011 11:19AM thisredengine said
@Samoth Probably not available at any of their warehouses, only the actual stores.

Anyone have any idea if this stick will be any good for the new Mortal Kombat?

@ObiBen8
A fight stick should work with any game. Sure, they're releasing a weird set up for the MK fightstick, but you shouldn't have any difficulty with a normal setup
Unless Mortal Kombat secretly uses the L3 & R3 buttons or doesn't have the ability to reassign buttons, both of which would be big design flaws.

@ObiBen8 Mortal Kombat uses all 8 buttons on the pad (face buttons = 2 kick, 2 punch, RT = block, RB = throw, LB = tag, and LT = flip stance), but the MK stick only has 6 buttons, so some moves need multiple buttons pressed at once to execute. If you have an 8 button stick you can have dedicated buttons for throw and flip stance. Some people prefer having dedicated buttons, some prefer having less clutter. So it's a judgment call.
Also, the new MK has the best button customization screen I've seen. You can set what you want insanely fast, unlike the terrible SF4 options where you have to tediously scroll through moves for each button.
Not a huge deal either way, the more important thing is that the Tekken stick is better for other games than the MK stick, so if you're only going to get one, and plan on playing multiple fighting games, get the 8 button one.
The only downside is, it has Tekken on it.

A roll of duck tape is only a few dollars. This alleviates the tekken problem.

I got one a few months ago. It's no Madcatz SFIV TE Fightstick, but it's also not $150.
It's decent. I've had no complaints with it besides a fairly short battery life, general lightness of the unit, and the odd button arrangement (expect to spend a lot of time reassigning buttons).

It's not available for shipping off bestbuy.com, but it does offer a ship-to-store pickup option. Looks like one store in my area still has stock, so I guess I'll be giving that a shot.

Not available in any store in Orlando. FTL.

Just picked one up. Shipping was available, but there was one at the closest store just a few miles away so I chose store pickup. Great deal!

This isn't one of those PS3/360 dealio's is it? Only works on 360?
Bummer. Any peripheral based game (racing games w/ wheels, fighting game w/ arcade sticks) always go on my PS3 by default for the sole reason that said peripherals work with the PC as well. I wouldn't spend extra money on a peripheral that's tied down exclusively to one of my consoles.

I tried to jump on this deal but looks like it's unavailable at all my local stores. Doesn't look like you can simply drop in a JLF stick anyways.

Stop calling the button layout weird. It's been like that since MK3.

I just ordered one, and it said FREE shipping for some reason. I placed the order and now it says the order is being processed soon shipping between Null and Null. I hope they dont try and screw me out of this because their system is messed up!

I missed the SF deal you guys posted from Best Buy a few months ago, so Im gonna pick this up. I was gonna get the MK fightstick but since MVC3 is out I want a stick now, plus Im not all hardcore into fighting games so this should be fine. Wonder if it will work for the XMEN arcade game??

No shipping where I live and the nearest store where it will "allow me" to pick it up is almost 2 1/2 hours away... yes, it's a great deal... but it's just not worth the drive.

FYI, just because it's not available for store pickup doesn't mean the store doesn't have it necessarily, if the store only has 1 it won't be available for pickup because of the high possibility they can't find it or it's stolen. If you want this swing by your local store, if they don't have it, have a store employee search their system for the usb 722674210294 it's $29.99 in store too so as long as you locate one you can get it for that price.

Thanks Griffin for posting this. I was waiting for the TE Round 2 sticks to go back in stock at the gameshark store by they have been backordered for what seems like weeks now.
I can't wait any longer, especially since this wireless stick seems to have good reviews, and of course, not to mention the low price.

I just picked one of these up today. I wanted Tekken 6, so it wasn't a tough decision to grab the stick too for an extra $10. I plan on doing a full Sanwa mod on it.

I bought the combo back when it was 60. At least I got Tekken 6 and a nice artbook out of the deal...they could have kept the craptacular joystick to themselves.
