I never played this game because I couldn't beat the first.

Is the Random Number God just as heartless in the sequel?

@Perfidious Sinn I didn't play too much of it, but it seemed like the game played a little fairer with you than in the first.

I actually found the Puzzle Game portion of Galactrix a lot more satisfying... Felt more tactical when you have so many different directions the gems can fall. To me at least. But I do have to try PQ2 sometime to see what it's like.

Pass, still about $8 too much.

I think I'm the only one who thought that the first was significantly better.

Or maybe I was already exhausted of the formula. Who knows.

@Vesuvium Not the only one. I can't stand PQ2. All the enemies are the same in the beginning. The matches take way longer. I was hooked to PQ1...but PQ2...I can't handle more than 1 enemy a day now. I don't think it's that we're sick of the formula though. The game is actually slower paced.

@Noksukow Totally agree with you, I actually prefer fantasy western art over anime, but it looks totally amateurish in PQ2.

@Vesuvium I also felt the first game was significantly better. While I liked the new way to walk around in the world, the first game's items were far more varied in their effects. Between the items, mounts and capturing enemies, character builds were far more flexible too.

20 Bucks what
You'd think Galactrix would have got a price drop by now

On a barely-related note, Marble Blast Ultra has been delisted, apparently. :(

Maybe they no Galactrix sucks and that a price drop will only hurt their sales, since the same suckers will buy it but by paying less money ;p

PQ2 wasn't as polished as the first. Having double venom attacks seemed to be the way to go, at least for the iOS version.

Arrrgh.

I was hopelessly addicted to the first game, pouring weeks into the damn thing. I've been waiting for the sequel to hit PSN.

And waiting.

And waiting.

All the while being tempted to buy Galactrix just to stave off withdrawal.

But at twenty dollars, Galactrix can go and f*ck itself right in its stupid overpriced facehole.

Seriously, Galactrix. You're a goddamned puzzle game. Just because you take place in space doesn't mean I'm going to shower you in money like some high-priced whore.

I can play a game of Bejeweled while listening to a Final Fantasy soundtrack for a hell of a lot less...

Galactrix has always annoyed me due to unfair LIVE play. The developers ignored my complaints that the time warp weapons needed to be limited to at most two per player so that the pllayer who went first didn't win by default. I just stopped trying to get the multi-win Achievements once everybody I played against was doing the same crap, and I'd have to become such a jerk to have a chance to win.

PQ2 was OK, but I don't bother with it anymore. Not sure why other than nothing NEW to do...

The original PQ on DS was kind of absurd. In a good way, but at some point, you could pretty much wreak havoc if geared right. The ports to the other consoles (PSN, PSP, PC...) definitely fixed a lot of these issues to make it "fairer".

PQ2 didn't rub me the right way, and Galactrix...well, I didn't stay with that girl for too long.

Probably because it sucks.

The original was amazing. Galatrix was meh and PQ2 is just terrible.

PQ > PQ2 > Thumb Twiddling > > Galactrix

@MooseMuffin I couldn't agree more on the depth of the original with the mounts and locations to control and the like. There also seemed to be a bit more enemy variety. The "dragon fight" from part two might have been tougher than anything from the original though...
