@Chris DPSN AggieCEO XBLThe Aggi Hehe good times, I generally was that guy, grenading and rocket launchering the warhawks. SO much fun when you are completely outgunned to take one down. :D

Best moment for me was seeing a warhawk in the distance, a small spec on the horizon. I was in a tank which can't lock on, shot and actually got that distant moving target. I even got a trophy for it, haha. Can't wait for this. I wish psn was running. Now I want to play the game again.

@doubtingthomas It doesnt matter how much it is(I guess around $20, its one of the best games of this generation(and the best war game), just buy it and prepare for starhawk!

@doubtingthomas yea it wouldn't be the price i'd be worried about but if there are still a lot of full servers running. I'm sure you can get it under $20, i think you can even but it directly from PSN (if it ever works again)

Considering I have never played it, would I be behind or could I just hop right in (I really don't know what this game's players are like, but it seemed like only the hardcore are still playing it)

There are "rookie" servers for people of a lower rank, but your rank only dictates what cosmetic options are available, nothing else. I think that your only problem would be some of the intense flying and aerial strategies people have come up with. As a 5-year vet, I still get schooled on a regular basis by plenty of pilots.

@doubtingthomas I agree with king, there are rookie servers, but it does takes a long time to not get killed every 10 seconds, but you will eventually get it, the gameplay mechanics are very easy to learn, the problem is to know how and when to use them.

The first Warhawk was amazing when it came out. This sounds very interesting but would have to be a *big* upgrade though to get back into it.

Oh, and PSN would need to work.

I loved warhawk but I was terrible at it. my k/d ratio was like .05.

I just don't know how people shoot things and control that plane at the same time

Probably worth trying all the control options, I can't play without advanced since any non-acecombat flight controls are alien and perverse to me.

Can I act disappointed it's not a Silverhawks game? Because I am. Single catchiest theme song of any 80s cartoon.

Wings of silver, nerves of steeel --- SILVERHAAWKS
Partly metal, partly reeeal -- SILVERHAAAWKS

Never heard of M.A.S.K. before just now... theme wasn't as catchy to me, but then I don't have nostalgia for it.

I hope this has longer lasting appeal than Warhawk did. The DLC helped to keep it going for me to an extent, but it just got far too boring for me. I burned out while working towards all the trophies. I would have liked to get the platinum in it, but the points requirements for the highest rank were just insane. I couldn't keep playing that long. Other games came along.

I supose it was something that only people who put in insane levels of dedication would get. Something for them to brag about, I guess.

Of course they announce this in mid May. Warhawk was a damn fine game at release, and the expansions only helped make it more enjoyable. a proper sequel is welcome.

As for why no E3? They didn't want the announcement of ZOE 3 to be overshadowed by anything.

Now if you excuse me, I have to go pray to whatever gods are required to get ZOE 3 this year. A few temples may have to be built, i'm playing this one by ear.

Add some cheesy FMV cut-scenes (like in the original 1995 Warhawk), and I'll be on board.

Warhawk was the only thing I felt a bad-ass in. I'd probably destroy most of you in Zones or CTF, haha!
I'm ashamed I never platinumed the game. I'm VERY close to hitting General, and all Gold Badges...but I just gave up.

Finally, although I would've liked more DLC for Warhawk. When that game first came out I was hooked for awhile. Then when the DLC came it kept me interested for a few weeks but then I got tired/bored for some reason.

Would be sweet if Starhawk was an "expansion" of sorts for Warhawk.
