Try out Sonic Generations at E3 'Sonic Boom' party

Sega's throwing a Sonic party during E3, offering perhaps the best possible situation in which to try out Sonic Generations. If you go to Club Nokia on June 8, play the game, and find, to your delight, that it really does bridge the gap between "classic" and "modern" Sonic, that its physics simulation is above reproach, and that it's truly fun -- you can then immediately celebrate Sega's triumphant return to form with a gathering of other euphoric Sonic fans.

If the game turns out to be disappointing, there'll probably be free food! As well as " exclusive Generations collector's merchandise!" If you want to go, keep an eye on the Sega blog for your chance to reserve a pass. The first 500 passes have already been snapped up by appropriately speedy people!

I have high hopes for this and Phantasy Star Online 2.

@SgtDookie I don't. Everyone gets super hyped up when a new sonic is announced and they think it'll be great. Look at the last few sonics.

I know the drill with the Sonic games and how the hype is usually followed by disappointment but i like really for real think this time may be different....maybe...possibly....hopefully

Granted, it doesn't mean that future games are "safe," but the current games (besides Sonic 4) are steps in the right direction.

I like the Sonic cycle that I just made up after watching Primer,

Sega puts Sonic in the A end (i.e. The Awesome end), he moves towards the B end (i.e. The Bad end) and then loops back towards the A end. He loops around continuously until he inevitably comes out the B end.

But every so often when he is under the guidance of a smart team, they are able to release him at the A end before he loops back around producing a Awesome Sonic game.

@SgtDookie I'm excited for these too! Especially PSO 2. I hear they're bringing the crafting system back, but that's the only thing that has me a bit worried.

after Sonic Colors and Sonic the Hedgehog 4, im actually looking forward to this without being cautious.

It looks like it plays almost exactly like Sonic Colors. So in other words, it's probably fantastic.

I'm actually pretty excited for this. Sonic Colors broke the cycle and so now I can actually have hope.

This game looks fantastic.
