BioShock 2 add-on "Minerva's Den" will finally make its way to PC on May 31 for 800 MSP ($10) -- that means you'll need to be hooked up to Games for Windows Live. The BioShock 2 DLC became available on consoles late last year, and in our review we found it to be a "very interesting and value-packed single-player expansion."
The road to a PC release of "Minerva's Den" has been long and awkward ever since it was announced late last year. The last time the DLC's potential PC release popped up on radar was January. Repeated requests for an update had 2K Games explaining it had "no new information at this time." So, while it may be seriously late, at least it wasn't canceled. (Why not just say so, 2K?)

Great!!! too bad nobody cares now... sorry i gotta go to play witcher 2... a real game made by real developers who created something for the p.c that we didn“t had to wait for more than half a year after it was released.....good luck minerva, maybe you were good, too bad your creators decided to keep you in the dungeon instead of releasing you when we really care......

I'm glad PC users will finally be able to play it. Bioshock 2 is a good game, but Minerva's Den is amazing. I would tell you to buy Bioshock 2 just to play it, it's that awesome.

Of course, being so late it won't sell as well. If it sells poorly the boogeyman pirates will be blamed instead of mismanagement on 2k's part or the fact that it apparently isn't on steam, either. (At the time of this post)

The one thing steam needs to work on is dlc distribution , I havent played mass effect 2 dlc because it's not on steam.....

That isn't Steam's or Valve fault. Blame EA, they refuse to release the DLC on anything but their own EA Store.

The expansion packs for The Sims 3 are on Steam. I don't know if that is technically DLC or not since they all had retail releases, but you do need the original game to play them. Other than that though I think you might be right.
Although the DLC for Mass Effect 2 is purchased from BioWare's site, not EA's. So I'm not sure who to blame for that.

They were probably trying to wait long enough for people to forget that they had said Minerva's Den would be free on the PC.

I only paid $5 for Bioshock 2 on Steam and now $10 for the DLC? Don't think so.

BioShock 2 had to be one of the most disappointing sequels I've ever played. I'm a little over halfway through it and the story is just stupid. I loved the first BioShock and I really wanted to like 2, but everything about it is just...bad.

I actually liked Bioshock 2. Maybe it's because I had lowered expectations, I don't know, but I found nothing seriously wrong with it. The biggest complaint that I could muster was that it was just more of the same, but since I loved the original so much I didn't terribly mind it. I do feel that Bioshock 2 sometimes does not get a fair shake.

The main thing that I don't like about it is just how weak you are. You're a big daddy, but some weak ass splicer can bring you down in 4 shots from a weak ass pistol. I understand you're a "prototype" big daddy, but come on...
The story isn't that much better. BioShock 1 had a great story, but I just can't get into 2's. It just feels like I'm running errands for whoever is in the story in whatever chapter I'm in. I don't feel like the story branches the whole game, just a different little story for each different area. It'll probably tie together once I'm done with the game, but so far nothing.
I'm not saying it's terrible, but the first one just blew me away and this one is just so...meh. It's not like I have blind hate for it just because that's the "cool thing" or anything like that. I'm still trying to finish it so that should say something.

Wait, what? I may be misremembering things, but didn't they say Minerva's Den was going to be free on the PC? Or was that something else?

Minerva's Den as just recently discounted on XBOX Live for half-off, making it $5. I'm not sure whether it still is or not.
