I got all the Rainbow Six games except Lockdown today for exactly $10.20. That is such a steal I feel like I should be arrested.

Just picked up Conviction on teh cheap, but the stupid Ubisoft DRM keeps disconnecting me at random events. Bah.

Man, was that game forgotten about or what? I loved the demo, but I didn't play the full retail game. I loved the demo though, and I think my friend might still have a copy I should ask to borrow.

.... well on the plus side that probably clears up a lingering fear I have about Dust having stupid restrictive DRM that will ultimately cause me to avoid the game :(

It was forgotten about because of the DRM. It was way too intrusive so nobody bothered playing it. At least on the PC.

I haven't played any of the SC or Rainbow Six series. Where should I start and is it even worth going back to play them?

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a good half real tactical shooter. It has some real good tactical game play, but at the same time it remains easy so anyone can pick up and play.

@Melephant I highly recommend SC:Chaos Theory or either of the two before. I also really enjoyed RS:Vegas 2, but never played any of the other RS games

If stealth is your thing, start at the beginning of SC. Chaos Theory had a pretty strong MP.

For Rainbow Six; Rainbow Six 3 is a def. yes. Best of the series IMO and Steam doesn't have any older then that one.

Lockdown is Rainbow Trash and Vegas removed a lot of the Rainbow series tactical and planning based gaming and made it more action-orientated.

=( but Rainbow Six 3 is the best....

----

Splinter Cell; Splinter Cell 1 and Splinter Chaos Theory are a must. Double Agent is alright at best, compared to the previous games and Conviction just ditches the whole stealth system and made it; guess?

More Action-oriented.

Wait till you get to Far Cry 2. As an entomologist, I'd say it's fantastic.

Would have been nice to have a 'day' of everything not in a franchise but that still might be worth picking up!

Those were discounted 33% every day. Can't win them all.

Although, I will admit that I was crossing my fingers for a 66% off Silent hunter pack.

Know what this sale taught me?

There are too many bloody Tom Clancy games! Good lord. The list is longer than the front page!

Definitely check out the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games. Grin did an awesome job on them, better then the console versions IMO.

Remind you of your days tripping balls with malaria on the african savannah? Thought you'd caught a bunch of butterflies and then realised you'd carved the ears off some irish mercenaries and put them in your net..?

Seriously, I'm still trying to work out the entomologist connection.

That's good to hear you had good weather. It was hot and I had to work next to an oven all day in a place with broken AC.

I think I have drunk memories of playing Nightsky at a friends house, maybe demo? Went on an indie binge one afternoon. Anywho it was frustrating as heck and looked like something from decades ago. It's also a copy of an iphone game called Trundle which is $1 or something less expensive like that.

An upvote for you sir, for the most briliant way of describing the release state of a piece of software, ever.

The Ubisoft sale has been a total bloody joke for non Americans. We've ended up paying more than double for some games. Which is why I ended up not actually buying anything.

Steam Unpowered have some interesting comparisons. http://steamunpowered.eu/ubiweek-in-steam-23rd-30th-may/

Also, Ubisoft joined EA in the top rip-offs for the UK and EU this week.
