@slickie Ghost Recon was announced as a PC exclusive at Ubisoft's press conference yesterday. Tekken is the only game in this reel that seems to have features specific to the Wii U. Plus it looks very early in development.

You're right actually- Reggie just announced in a GT.TV interview that the third party preview videos were NOT from the Wii U as the games have not been made yet. It was all 360, PS3 and PC game footage.
So, there ya go. Anyone who says this looks worse because the "U" (ew) isn't up to par with the 360 and PS3 (or PC) is a total moron.

We are just talking about people who say those things based on this particular video. None of that footage is from WiiU so to say it looks better or worse than something on PS360 is what we are referencing.

When JR was on stage with the image of various EA titles behind him and began talking about the potential of porting them over/creating new versions for the Wii U I couldn't help but notice Commander Shepard's face and begin to wonder...
Obviously nothing planned yet, but who knows. A lot of people never saw it coming to the PS3 either.

@Special Agent Steve : Exactly. They haven't even shown a ground-up Wii U game yet. At the earliest we will see some of that stuff at Tokyo Game Show.
If Nintendo is following the pattern that they did from E3 2005 when they announced the Revolution and showed very little, then went off at E3 2006, we won't see anything definitive until next years E3, which is fine with me. Just give me some more Wii stuff in the meantime.

If Wii U is more powerful, Battlefield 3 will looks the same in Wii U, PS3 and X360.
Now, there's always chance that it won't be on par with the other two. In that case, I wonder the same as you.

The 360 and PS3 run games that look exactly the same, but when they have exclusive titles they look better running on each one. Even if the WiiU is even more powerful than those, the multi-platform titles will all look the same just like they do now, but Nintendo's 1st party games will look better than anything available on any console.

This, to me, was the best part of the less than stellar presentation. Glad to see Nintendo was listening on 2 levels:
1. People want better 3rd party support
2. People want more mature content
Hopefully it will extend to other titles (i.e. CoD)

Let's just make it easy for Nintendo. We want to see Insomniac, Irrational, Epic, Crytek, and a few other studios developing titles for your console that don't have the words "Spongebob", "Barbie", "Disney", or any of the like in the title. That's what the Wii didn't get.
Obviously, guys at Irrational do things other than just shooters (Ratchet and Clank is obviously off the table but it is an example).

Irrational has made almost nothing BUT shooters. Insomniac on the other hand has made some very different games.
Just because they are making one multi-platform game - their first I might add - doesn't mean that they are jumping the Sony ship. I wouldn't expect an exclusive from them on a Nintendo system even if it had twice the Wii U's power.

By the video I am glad to finally see some level of advancement as far as graphics go. Now they are finally decent looking! But I HIGHLY doubt it will run anything as well as ps3 or 360. Still...finally good for nintendo to move on up with the rest of the gaming tech.
i guess the same can be said about motion gaming with the rest of the world. Still a controller does me well.
