Forza 4 Limited Collector's Edition packs exclusive cars, 96-page 'Top Gear' guide
79
Forza 4 now comes in Limited Collector's Edition flavor, or at least it will when the game launches this October. The LCE boasts a 96-page photo book, no less than 4 bonus car packs, vinyl stickers, an exclusive BMW Dashboard theme, and "special recognition in the Forza community."
As far as the cars go, the "VIP Pack" grants 5 of the world's fastest and least pronounceable cars, including the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Your garage will also come stocked with 10 of history's "best classic American muscle cars," although those vehicles have yet to be specifically named. You'll also land the previously announced "Ship Bonus" pack, as well as an unknown number of customized BMW whips that will also be available as day-one DLC.
Cars of Forza Motorsport 4 Presented by Top Gear is a 96-page gallery of auto-erotica, highlighting the game's many vehicles via images from Top Gear's "extensive" collection and color commentary from the publication's editors. This mirror's the game's Autovista mode, where Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson says (presumably) hilarious and British things about cars. No pricing information has been given, but we assume it'll probably still be cheaper than buying an actual Koenigsegg.
[Thanks, Mircu!]

I've never ordered a Collectors Edition... this may change that. I love Forza, and I love Top Gear.

Yeah I think I'll get this. This is why I like Forza. there's a new title out every few years keeping the series fresh.
GT, even though it's equally great, will just build up cakey deposits.

@Tihn I prefer Forza to GT. GT is great, but I feel as if there is a little more personality to Forza. Basically Forza is like a bad ass TVR you spend years restoring vs. A cool, but cold, new Shelby.

@ORTHROK Hey there buddy, no genre really has a merit over another. It depends on someone's tastes which really falls back to one's opinion, of which all are equal.
So from that your statement really reads:
"anyone who plays video games or is interested in games at all is a mental infant"
To which I say you just insulted yourself(you enjoying extrapolated from you being on joystiq). You also insulted the gaming community as a whole.
Good job smart one.

I really would like to get Forza 4. I've never been a big racing fan but this looks really good. Is Forza accessibly to newbies? I play GT5 for a while but never really got into the multiplayer. Is there enough single-player content to warrant a purchase?

@SneakySneakyB as far as i can tell forza 3 is more forgiving and little more less realistic than GT5 so you will be ok. "Game" wise forza 3 had much superior single player and menu system so i guess you will like forza 4.

Neither are real sims, but GT5 is not "more realistic".
Anyway, as far as answering the question, yes it is incredibly accessible to new players, there are/will be 4 difficulty settings, there are guided lines that tell you when to brake/hit the gas. and even if thats too much for you, i can turn on auto breaking (so you just use the gas and it does the breaking for you)
plus there is always the rewind setting. if you hit select the race goes back a few seconds to let you fix any mistakes you may have made.

@SmilinGoat it's is. i played both GT5 and Forza and i own a car be it a old one and been on track day with it. gt5 have more feel to it, cars behave more little bit naturally and tracks pretty much spot-on like nurburgring nordschleife while in forza nordschleife is and embarrassment compared to GT5.

"Is there enough single-player content to warrant a purchase?"
Let me put it to you this way, Forza 3's career mode was enormous and monstrous enough to make even the most veteran career sim-racer cower in mortal fear in a dark corner somewhere. Don't worry, there's enough there to keep you busy for a long time.

@bxgt it's not about environments it's about authenticity of a track and gt5 have more authentic nurburgring with bumps and all elevations in forza they IRONED out ALL bumps and most elevations.

@bxgt here is comparison vid of GT5-Shift2-Forza3. you can see butchered elevations and bump from very first minute and corner in forza.

Some say...that the limited edition cars are plated with gold. And that their drive trains are made of pure platinum. All we know is, they're included with the Forza 4 limited edition.

My only complaint is that they have yet to add rally racing, which is the one thing Gran Turismo has over it. That being said I'm a 360 guy and am going to pick this up. Just wish Richard Hammond and Jeremy May also had a part in giving commentary for the game. Clarkson is awesome but sometimes his commentary feels the reused. It's the same quips and vocal inflections.

GT5 wins when it comes to features, i hope that GT6 is an updated GT5 that feels polished and not just a bunch of features smashed together.

GT5 also has 3D (like it or not), runs at FULL HD, and the PlayStation 3 supports the logitech driving wheels, and the master mind behind it, knows his job.
Gran Turismo is a real racing game, created by a real racing fan (and competitor) for real racing fans.
forza is just for guys who want to spend their time on numpsy paint-jobs.

@eNriqeu First of all "Full HD" is just a made up marketing term. It doesn't truly denote anything. If it did then 1080p would be the highest attainable resolution. 1080p was outdated before the first TV with it was released.
Second of all, anyone who feels that GT5 or Forza are "true" simulators are sorely mistaken. Both GT5 and Forza were created by racing fans with input from real drivers. However they both still fall short. The only place you are going to find a real racing sim is in a "cockpit" sim, or on PC. Forza and GT are still lightyears(a measure of distance) away from being complete sims.

@eNriqeu The difference is that 1080p is a technical specification, "FullHD" is bogus marketing lingo.
As far size and placement of your average screen in a home, 1080p really doesn't mean much for the majority of people aside from "LUL I HAZ TEN AETAY PEES". There is actually a size:resolution:distance ratio one can follow, but for the most part 720p and 1080p are indistinguishable.
That is not to say that there are not the minority exceptions, of which I am the part. 1080p definitely is noticeable at the distance I am away from my screen.
All this said, it still does not adress the fact that both Forza and GT are terrible sims as of their current versions.

@Hatman88 Why? You can get a xbox stupid cheap if your just looking to play this game. Ive been thinking about it. Inside sim racing already said kinect is kind meh.. So no need for that.
