This game is bad. Closer to gauntlet than DnD. But not in a good way. But at least if you play multiplayer with friends you actually level up and get loot....

@GiantGamer This has nothing to do with 4th edition not porting well and everything to do with with the game sucking. Don't talk down on D&D.

Every time I hear about this game, I think of Daggerfall. Which, even when played in a DOSBox session, is a better game than this.

This is a bad game, partially because of the 4e ruleset, but mostly because both the design and QA was awful. I believe a majority of people working on this title have actually played pen and paper D&D.

I'm less concerned with if they've played D&D and more concerned with the fact that they don't know how to code a proper program.

when it drops to $5 (and will soon if not by Christmas for the steam sales) then maybe it will be worth it for a hack-n-slash mindless fun.

I will recommend reinstalling Diablo 1 over this..

No, really.

Ummm....This was already on PC, I fail to understand how this makes it any more on PC. Lol.

No, this came out at the end of May. At the same time as it did on the other consoles. I'll admit that steam has changed the game's page to say it was released a few days ago, but I figure that they (Atari) are trying hard to get everyone to pretend that the game just recently came out to boost poor sales.

whateveryousay is correct, this game came out the exact same day on PC as it did on consoles. He's probably right about their attempt to boost sales as well, lol.

I wish this had gotten better reviews, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat....But if it sucks so badly then there's no way I'm purchasing it. At least not until they fix the issues with online co-op.

@whateveryousay

It came out on PC at that point, but wasn't available for digital download, and I certainly couldn't find it at any joint where I am. So I'd say it was only semi "on PC" before.

Granted, I think it hit Steam a few days ago...but with how universally reviled this game is, I can forgive the 'Stiq for not getting around to it until today.

It's been on the PC since the day of release. It just hadn't been on steam until last week.

How is this news? It came out the same day as the console versions...

@Seanasaurus

Yep. And they have even released a patch for the PC version, over a week ago.

The news is that it available as a downloadable PC game now, not just retail. But I expect much precision when it comes to Joystiq.

I don't recommend you buy this. I don't think I've ever wished I could get a refund or even horrid trade credit for a digital title before. But I did with this game.
